Maybe some seismic activity and all of a sudden a whole lot of shark activity as they come to clean up the remains from the High Explosives used to quell the attack. I am kind of surprised they haven't repaired the existing network while working on the FO. Seems like he has enough folks in his area to get some attention. Maybe approaching the county authorities might help. There may be some encouragements that some of "the good 'ol boys" in his area might be able to offer. B

F/O is supposed to be good for HDTV and phone but, from what I understand, if the power goes out the backup battery is only good for aprox 8 hours. A generator is a good thing to have. There are some satellite providers out there and the main interruption there is thunderstorms. Can't beat the copper wire phone though. Been thru ice storms, hurricanes, tornadoes, and floods have lost everything except my copper wire land line and sewer. Have fun with the girls. By the time they get fiber to you looks like "we" should have at least 4 chapters if not more. Don't THINK you are retired from the field BE retired. YOU HAVE PAID YOUR DUES! I understand "milking". Not arguing that it really doesn't have a direct bearing on mangus' work but it does seem that his site is VERY popular and is sort of a community gathering place - mainly by those of us that are "pacing the floor" waiting for his next post. B

The issues of which I spoke have been occurring for a few weeks and were when I made the earlier post AND this one as well. I have noticed the green bar that seems to indicate new traffic is occurring is running continuously even as I type this. Should it?? In the past when I was typing and it came on there was a new post in the shoutbox. B

From the "for what it's worth" dept I have recently had problems logging into the forum and posting comments. When I go to the "log in" button and click it nothing but nothing happens. Only way I got in was to right click, open in a new tab then log in. Didn't use to be that way. Before when I went to post a comment and hit "post" it went and posted. Now it just sits there and the only way I know it posted is to leave and come back in. B

Might also try malwarebytes. The free version seems to work well and several IT types have recommended it. B

So - NO MORE missions. Take care of the home front. Write a lot. I suspect there are a number of folks on this site that care for you a lot more the the alphabet types. You have done more than your part AND have paid your dues. B
