If you expand it to a general venue style… originals (obviously), anything relatively modern. Heck, you could do something with an OnlyFans holodeck in Star Trek (think Quark’s holosuites had those type of programs). In my originals… Jeff is definitely heading for this line of work and would be a natural fit. Toby (yes, the one from the Demon oneshot) was also slated for this, but I’m not sure I’ll have time to really explore his story.

Realized I can’t quite clear up the misunderstanding here, and this topic is in “Staff Questions” not in other categories.

Only Fans Bedtime Reading Hour? Thinking outside the box here….

Happened in the early internet startup era too… “shares of the company” BS. Nah, collect a paycheck. Stock & options are nice extras, but… “Exposure” doesn’t pay the bills… unless you’re doing it in a gentlemen’s/ladies’ nightclub after hours, or for only fans.

I view getting rich writing the same way I view the lottery… similar odds. I mean, sure, writing rich is probably better odds than getting struck than lightning, it’s still low odds. I’ve got a good day job, so I keep my writing humble as a “hobby”, which is more relaxing TBH when I’m not having to write to “marketing expectations”, nor write to deadlines, nor keep it family friendly (because, apparently, creating families isn’t very “family friendly”). To make it rich, I’d have to compromise, maybe pay a bunch to advertisers, get into the top seller list with a seven book series, get a filmmaker interested, license out to merchandising, and perhaps even a theme park—then go full bigoted mode to see how fast I can kill the golden goose.

Even paid jobs try to squeeze unpaid work out of ya.

Formatting problems with newlines/paragraphs

I use a text editor too (pluma, a fork of gnome-2’s gedit). I process mine into HTML (got a makefile to remember the arguments); copy & paste from libreoffice, and it seems to come across fine. Yeah, it’s a few steps, but it works. -
Though I’m native born & raised American English speaker, I’ve joked that it’s a “second language” compared to the main coding language I program in. And while I did take some Japanese courses in high school, I didn’t really learn much/enough to do anything more than pick a little bit out here/there whenever I watch anime. So, while I’m not one, I have lots of respect for bilinguals (or more).

You’re doing a good job.

Aw, traditional. Naming can definitely hint to attitudes too. In my potter fanfic, this girl’s name is Andrea, which is what the mother uses. However, the girl prefers “Andy”, and the brother uses a derogatory “Ant” nickname.

Undyed ones, yes. (ie hard boiled eggs, have ‘em regularly including a couple this morning. Add salt & pepper, delicious breakfast food.)

Silence… I’m not going to provoke the Dragon, for I go good with ketchup.

I’m going for the shotgun approach on suggestions, giving a bunch and seeing which ones stick. A nickname or two between them can help describe the relationship too. And as the founder of Home Depot once said, anybody under 80 is a “kid” to him.
-
Given age (& power) disparities… other options might include “kid” “child” or even “beast”/”toy”.

Hmm… maybe mention two chapters in the summary? Skip the WIP tag, and once archive lets you edit, shove in the COMPLETE tag? Also, stick “THE END” at the end of the second chapter, readers will get that bit..
-
Personally, I wouldn’t call it “complete” until all chapters have been posted. It’d be from the readers’ perspective.
