  1. I tend not be as prolific with longhand on paper. Heck, might not even write like I do if I had to suffer. Paper, though, is okay at work when I need to quickly jot an idea down (and don’t, for obvious reasons, want to use my work computer). Well, welcome back from that doctor induced panic disorder
  2. Second this, especially with the alphabet soup some of us make with the story tags, this would be useful to know for those of us looking to publish or self-publish.
  3. No hands, no feet, a swimming? Better believe Bob’s a bobbing.
  4. Some references, yes, as my stories occur in the future, I do toss in an odd reference or two, but I don’t make it a driving element, because that helps bind it to the present day. (ie, In one story, I mention a certain sitting president.)
  5. Meanwhile, in vault 108, Gary seeks to upset this order.
  6. I read that too fast this morning as “Strip” thinking you were wanting a “Bob” strip show.
  7. And I now have a completed rough draft to my Halloween story!  Yippee!

No spoilers now :P    Naked teenagers, indian burial ground, and truth or dare.  Also, I seem to be playing story tag bingo with this one.

Story is now in LaTeX and I’m working on the revision.

  8. Clones, we’re all clones. So, how do we properly tag a bob/bob pairing?
  9. Greetings there Bob. Sincerely, Bob.
  10. I'm exploring something similar in one of my (unpublished) stories, capturing a great deal of anger in him.
  11. That's why I resort to random generators, simply because my mind gets stuck otherwise, and it becomes rather unrealistic if all your characters are named "Bob".
  12. The best medicine for me, is to typically rant a bit about it, usually in the chat box, when I’m feeling negative. Happens in bouts. In my case, readership is lower because I’ve made a habit of story tag bingo which can scare off the squeamish.
  13. Don’t be afraid to mix up the stages too… nobody reacts quite the same to similar situations, How the character reacts can define them.
  14. Add in the “me too” there, hope it turns out to be nothing to worry about.
  15. Bring along some reading! (Like my story )
  16. So, the answer to avoid a multi-chapter halloween fic is to add in a well placed flashback.  Seems to do the trick, summarizing the mood (with a nice bonus of not having to add in the minor1 tag).

That sounds like a good idea. I’m just going to write a scene with established characters so the temptation doesn’t strike me to write something longer. :D

This particular halloween fic has been tough to get started, with so many options, but not wanting to stomp over where my other stories are heading.  Same universe, as always, with a nice bonus that it’ll set something up to feed into another story.

Oh crap… Thanks for reminding me early. I always want to do a oneshot for halloween, but only ever think about it when it’s too late. Now what the hell am I gonna write?! Gaaah…
