  1. I’m glad to hear from you, and to hear you’re alright! I know the new stories will be very well received. I’m looking forward to reading them myself!
  2. How does that work? That might be a temporary work-around until we find out what’s happened.
  3. It’s entirely possible that the author got more negative comments, and decided to remove the story. Unfortunately, the links in my records don’t work, either, so I can’t see an author name. I was hoping I might be able to find more information that way—sometimes authors leave notes on their profiles about why they removed a story. But there’s literally nothing in the forum except this request and the notation about the flame review on the story. No review reply threads come up, no recommendations, nothing.
  4. I’m not seeing any staff action with respect to this story, other than an incident back in 2011 where a reader left a flame review on the story, which was deleted by staff. The story itself had not been warned that I can see, however. Do you remember the author?
  5. Let me see what I can find out for you. I’m actually having the same issue, and it’s frustrating. (But we need more Cullen around here, so I’m motivated.)
  6. Oh, love, that’s fine! I left a review the other day in my “work” name and had to delete it and repost it as me.
  7. Are you registering for the forum or the archive? The archive format is yyyy-mm-dd, so a birthday of August 7, 1980 would be entered as 1980-08-07. I believe the forum uses a drop-down menu format.
  8. For The Scapegoat: Many thanks! This is a wonderful compliment, and I’m so pleased you liked my little story.
  9. I suppose most of my urban settings are an amalgam of the big cities I like best in the world—New York City and London. For some reason, they make me ridiculously happy, although I really, really liked Toronto when I was there a million years ago. Anyway, I’ve actually not gotten one of those notes, although there was a knock on the door, once. Apparently my partner at the time and I won the headboard-banging-off-the-wall contest that month, according to his upstairs neighbor. I might not look at my top hat in the exact same way again, though… And yes, Ben is certainly not a big talker, is he? But thank you so much, and I’m glad my brief venture into WAFF territory was at least fun!
  10. From InvidaRed: Right? ::dies of embarrassed giggles:: But seriously I have to keep people on their toes, don’t I? I mean, I can’t always write romance with a body count… Thank you!
  11. Honestly? I can’t answer that. We do have many members who still use hotmail or Outlook, although I will confess I am not one of them. Please email me at tos_team@adult-fanfiction.org so we can discuss this without having to post emails and such on a public forum for all the spambots to see.
  12. My other worlds are dark and murderous places. I needed a vacation. But they know I’ll always return, because I crave my darkness too much.
  13. Hi, The profile associated with that email address is a very new profile. One thing that does sometimes cause an issue is if there is an older site cookie which might have been corrupted. What we recommend is that you go into your browser’s settings, remove all AFF related cookies, and clear your browser’s cache and history. Close the browser entirely to make sure those changes take effect, and then restart the browser. You should be able to log in, or to reset your password without any issues. Another issue might be the password itself. It should be between 8-12 letters and/or numbers long, with no special characters or symbols, including punctuation. It;s also case sensitive, so make sure you haven’t inadvertently left your caps lock on when typing it in. For future reference, you can also contact the archive staff via email at tos_team@adult-fanfiction.org.
  14. Fortunately, this didn’t spin off from one of my other worlds, or I’d be pulling my hair out. This is just a quick dip into contemporary fiction for me.
  15. LOL—bite your tongue! I don’t need another project! But thank you for the review! I think the hardest thing in writing a oneshot is to set the scene without getting too chatty. I wanted to get into Marc’s head more than anything, and maybe it was too much, but I sort of liked it in there.
  16. For The Scapegoat And the rest of the Court is no less needy… Thank you!
  17. I’m still not sure I’d be happy having any dessert! LMAO! Eh, better for my diet anyway, but really…
  18. I’m very glad it worked, and welcome back! And it’s never a bother—I’m happy if I can help!
  19. The exclamation point is one of the characters we don’t allow any longer in the password field (and since I’m not a coder, I can’t tell you why). It has to be letters and/or numbers only, no punctuation or special characters permitted. Maybe that’s the issue?
  20. Title: Nothing to Sneeze At Warnings: M/M; Anal; Fingering; HJ; Shifter; Sneezing Summary: There’s nothing like a break-up right before Christmas to dampen the holiday spirit, but when Marc met Ben, the holidays got a little bit brighter. Well, except for the sneezing...
  21. MTL would like a new category added. Subdomain: Marvel ‘Verse > Marvel Verse TV Category to be added: The Gifted Story: Yes http://xmen.adult-fanfiction.org/story.php?no=600091579
  22. I’ve deleted the ShenDaoYaoi account as requested. I’m very glad you can access your original account once more, and welcome back! I think the confusion is dating back to one of FFN’s sporadic purges, when many authors created accounts here and moved or crossposted to AFF.
  23. Hi, If this is you, then you need to revalidate your account under the new archive software. I’m showing the account as last active on 3/30/2010, and we’ve done a couple of updates since then. This FAQ should help with revalidating your account, with apologies for the missing screenshots. For reason, the screenshots still appear on the new user instructions, though. We’re happy to help with any issues that might crop up with the revalidation. You can post here or email us at tos_team@adult-fanfiction.com.
  24. I think there are a couple of things we can try. The first is to clear any and all old cookies lurking about in your browser. Clear all AFF cookies from your browser’s history and cache, and then close the browser to make sure those changes actually happen. AFF will reset cookies for you, and the subdomains actually require a reset every month in the form of confirming you are over 18. The second thing is your password. Somewhere between your last login and now, we changed the way passwords work. Passwords need to be between 8-12 letters and/or numbers long, with no special characters, and they are, as always, case sensitive. Additionally, if you reset your password using the existing password, it blanks the field and forces a reset yet again. So, once you’ve eliminated the potential issue of old or currupt cookie strings, this would be the next thing to check, to make sure your password actually fits the requirements. You should see the Login option as an item at the end of the menu bar. It’s a dropdown, and you need to input your email address and password, and then click the login button. The Login item at the end of the menu bar should now show your pen name if login was successful. If these steps don’t help, let me know and we’ll see what else it could be.
