  1. Review Responses for AFF Challenge Prompt Lithium: Special of the Day From Apollo: Blame Neko for my obsession with Japanese men! It's a nice change from elves, though. And thank you! From Gslinger: Labs are sort of like restaurant kitchens... best not to know what goes on in there! And thank you! From JayDee: Oh, gods, that's fecking brilliant wordplay! I adore you! But thank you so much, and I'm glad I didn't overdo the meal references. You're so right, it's easy to get ham-handed and I re-read more times than I can count to try and catch that stuff. And oohh... sequel! ::watches Apollo cringe::
  2. Review responses for AFF Challenge Prompt Gamma: Almost Home From JayDee: Thank you! It's always fun to try something new, and I'm glad you enjoyed my little venture into space! From anesor: His raider was already damaged, hence the reason he did not survive, and he was locked onto the hull, so his ship could be scavenged for parts. Tierney, however, took a perfectly good raider with her...
  3. Flashbacks. They can be a wonderful way to bring in some back story, or illuminate a character's motivation or reasons for reacting a certain way. But I need to rant just a teensy bit... Flashbacks should not need to be announced. Please. It's disruptive, and drags me right out of the flow of a story. I'm reading along happily, and there it is. The clue-by-four, in all caps and bold lettering. FLASHBACK. Now I've come to a full stop, and I'm yanked right out of my immersion in the story, and that's not fun at all. If you've been using a regular font, italics can serve to highlight a flashback. Really. It's how it's generally handled in the books you buy in bookstores. Or set it off another way, if you've already reserved italics for characters talking to themselves and bold lettering for mental telepathy. But please... no great big warnings that we are entering the flashback zone.

  6. I had a member contact me via PM about a disclaimer issue, and the member was concerned because she said the story was missing. I was able to access it with no issues, so I'm wondering if this is connected with the issue tambra had. Then again, this could be a case of member malfunction... trying to find a story in the wrong subdomain...

    Stolen Fic

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We're taking care of this now, since plagiarism is something we take VERY seriously. AND... take a look in the Hall of Shame.
  8. At the bottom of the chapter is a dropdown, in the left corner. It has a "report abuse" option that will open a popup window.
  9. One of our admins also looked at these stories, and neither of us can find actual scenarios that require that tag. Urahara did protest a bit, but he was not forced, and it appeared to us that his protest was more because he did not think Ichigo was dealing with his grief appropriately by seeking sex. In the second story, it is Isshin who is angry about Urahara sleeping with his son due to the age difference, and while Ichigo does make that remark about Urahara saying no, it is more a defense against his father's accusations as opposed to a confession of rape, since the actual sexual encounters are all quite consensual. The mention of molestation, or even the use of the word "rape" without any actual depiction of the act is not enough to warrant a RapeFic tag.
  10. I've read both stories carefully, and I cannot find any instances of rape or even non-consensual contact that would justify these stories needing the RapeFic tag. Obviously, this is a tag and a topic that we take seriously, but I really cannot find anything that would require such a tag at this time.
  11. You can let people know that you have this thread by posting it as a short AN in your next chapter, or adding it to your archive profile. I find it never hurts to remind people that they don't need to be registered for the forums to read and post in this thread.
  12. And your story is unhidden. Thank you!
  13. It's sufficient to say that the Spiderman universe and characters are owned by Marvel and the Oracle universe and characters are owned by DC, and that you make no profit from this fiction.

  17. If you read the requirements for a proper disclaimer, it says quite clearly: Your disclaimer only mentions the characters, and not the Xmen fandom as a whole. When you have corrected your disclaimer, then we can review your correction and restore your story to the archive. As to the email, it was sent, and since it was not returned to us as undeliverable, you might want to check your spam folder.
  18. And your story is unhidden.
  19. Many congratulations on such a wonderful achievement! Hope to see lots more from both of you!
  20. My own best typo was years ago, when I was just starting out as a volunteer chat host online. I was actually hosting a chat, with the head host supervising, and someone new popped into the room and asked the topic. It was a general chat, so I promptly typed, and sent, "Welcome, XXX! No topic, just a little shit-chat today." Did I mention this was supposed to be a G-rated moms website?

Ah, the new printer/copier/fax/scanner spits papers at me, and the fan is glowing blue in my computer. I remain mystified and ever so slightly intimidated by my unruly devices.
