  1. pittwitch: I am a very evil wench, but the demon was more evil by far... poor Wraith....
  2. Apollo: Thank you! I love a good twist at the end... JayDee: Thank you, especially for catching the typo in the disclaimer! I'm glad the sex was hot enough. It's not easy in the shorter formats when you're as wordy as I tend to be! And yes, the demon enslaves people and feeds off their life essence by trapping them within dreams it creates from their memories. Wraith breaks free of the demon's control, and this is what he's offered as a second chance to give in to the demon. As to Alistair, we'll have to see...

We have a warmer?? I knew I loved Harem Knights for a reason!

  5. Another boil on the buttocks of mankind lanced, and it's justly deserved, as far as I'm concerned. Try actually writing what you post, thief. Most of us do just that. Oh, but you're special, aren't you? Special enough to belong in the Hall of Shame.

  6. It's snowing...again...

I hope it's stopped by now and hasn't made things worse. Have they at least picked up the trash yet? If not, can it be dumped in the streets to improve traction? ;)

FS: I like the way you think! But alas, I'm reduced to using the handy bag of kitty litter in the back of the car...

  7. Nastrandir: Thank you, as always! I'm glad that my characters come off as more than just foils for the protagonist, since it really should be about all of them. None of us exist in a vacuum, after all! I think we're in agreement on that, though, since you're excellent at developing your companions and bringing out their full personalities!
  8. wanderingaddict: Wraith hasn'r met tainted Tamlen yet, you're quite correct! And I have a pretty soft spot for him as well. He comes off as a good friend, and wham! Instant demise. And, staying true to the storyline, Alistair is not even remotely hardened, and isn't at all a leader. I figured Wraith would pick up on that because of the nature of the Dalish culture. When you're nomadic and either actively disliked or at best tolerated wherever you go, it tends to make you look at people closely. And thanks for taking the time to review! I always enjoy seeing what people pick up on in my ramblings, and every bit of feedback makes me think about what I write, and how I can make it better!
  9. DG, I was pretty surprised myself, and honestly, I didn't even put my age at first because I was so sure I was the odd duck out! But I'm proudly flying the birthday now, so... And to add to Dany's list, since I remember all of her list... I watched the World Trade Center go up when I was in college (such a NY wench I am), and I was holding my toddler boy when I watched it go down...
  10. All of the above, plus my first reel-to-reel tape player! I still have a rather large collection of vinyl records (note to self - buy usb turntable!). I remember go-go boots (oh, dear gods...). I've been proudly blowing up motherboards since DOS was young. Hopefully, I'll have a lot more to remember as I go on!
  11. I'm so very impressed, my dear paladin, that you actually scored as more evil than I did! I fear I may need to take lessons, for I am but a grasshopper before you!
  12. The Dante's Inferno Test has banished you to the Second Level of Hell! Here is how you matched up against all the levels: Level | Score Purgatory Repenting Believers | Very Low Level 1 - Limbo Virtuous Non-Believers | Low Level 2 Lustful | Very High Level 3 Gluttonous | Low Level 4 Prodigal and Avaricious | Low Level 5 Wrathful and Gloomy | Very High Level 6 - The City of Dis Heretics | High Level 7 Violent | High Level 8- the Malebolge Fraudulent, Malicious, Panderers | Moderate Level 9 - Cocytus Treacherous | High I might possibly contest the Treacherous part, but then again...
  13. Cal, And laughing gives you better wrinkles! A happily evil Wench
  14. December 1956 here, so I guess that makes me one of the older kids on the block! What I do find encouraging, however, is that so many of us (and I mean all ages here) are writing. Dear sweet gods, does that ever make me feel better, because if the art of playing with words is ever reduced to 140 characters or less one a permanent basis, then I'm going to start feeling old. Until then, though, I'm just another kid in the sandbox.
  15. Palm trees... mine has palm trees. And I have an assortment of blank note cards for those "jot a quick note to whomever" moments that strike randomly.
  16. JayDee: Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the heavy innuendo -- one of my specialties, I fear, is leaving things to the imagination, but then again, sometimes I think other peoples' imaginations might conjure up things better than I could write! And I think Alistair's utter smexiness will win out over any lingering fears of commitment that Wraith may be harboring.
  17. anesor: Play DA:O and come back and read it again. That may help. But honestly, I'm not sure how much more I can trim without it turning into pure exposition. Timewise, it covers a few minutes in a boat, with part of that spent in a quick memory and the rest in a brief conversation. I suppose I could cut out the conversation... but, nah. I like my banter!
  18. ::looks at post-it notes all over desktop:: Well... yeah...
  19. Fairy Slayer: Thank you for reading and reviewing, first of all. I keep dragging you out of your fandoms, but you gamely dive in, and I really appreciate it! It's hard squeezing enough into the format to keep it coherent, but hopefully I haven't lost you too badly!
  20. It's not a terribly inspiring trend, is it?
  21. Proofreading for a friend again... ::sigh:: "Her skin was a dusky grey, her hair off white and her eyes a deep vibrant violate."
  22. Apollo: Oh, those recaptchas! But thank you for reading and reviewing, and I'm glad the flashback worked! I should probably stop teasing so much and move the relationship forward, but it's sort of fun to take my time, and Chantry boys are shy...
