I think that's a common problem for many of us. One trick I use to keep from over-editing is a three-pass rule. I write the rough draft, and then I'm allowed three passes over the completed story or chapter. The first pass is always grueling, and focuses on grammar and syntax. The second pass is for flow and content, and the third pass is to tweak and polish. After that, I'm done. No more tinkering and over-tweaking. It's posted, and hopefully, it's acceptably error-free. If not, well, someone will be sure to tell me where I screwed up, and I can always fix it.

At the moment, while we're working on the code rewrite, all new registrations by default permit anonymous reviews. So, for now, they're turned on for the archive account. Once the rewrite is done, that option to enable to disable anonymous reviews should be back as an option for all our members.

The only way I've found is to substitute another url. I've never been able to remove one completely without that. I use my forum profile url instead, and that seems to work.

My consolation is that this particular story isn't terribly graphic, and while I do describe sex, it's more innuendo than anything else. There are a few I've written that would NOT be considered SFW at all.
