It keeps saying that password reset is no longer valid.

I’ve sent a new password reset link to you. Please make sure that you’re following the password requirements:
Password rules recap:  Between 12-18 letters and/or numbers long, case sensitive. NO punctuation, spaces, or special characters allowed. Do NOT use your old password, or let Google make a strong password full of forbidden characters for you.

  2. I am notoriously bad about promoting my work. Seriously, aside from my banner ads here, I used to promo on Facebook and Twitter, but social media gives me the creeps lately, so I’ve not been promoting like I should. Argh.

However, I don’t think I’d post a chapter on Facebook, at least not for my published stuff. My AFF content tends to be very niche, and I doubt I’d drag in a huge audience even if I did promote those on social media.

And there’s absolutely nothing out there under my real name. I don’t even “like” my author accounts under my real name, although my pen names did follow each other on Facebook.

Now I feel like I have to go ramp up my Mastadon account, and do some promoting there if I can, and maybe drop a line or two on Facebook again.

  3. If you’re interested in creating an account on AFF’s fiction archive, we have a FAQ for that here: https://www2.adult-fanfiction.org/forum/topic/29598-new-user-how-to-register-for-an-archive-profile/

I also recommend you read our Terms of Service here: https://www.adult-fanfiction.org/tos.php along with our Content Guidelines: https://www.adult-fanfiction.org/guidelines.php  Those will explain what we do and do not allow in the archive.

You can also ask us any questions here: https://www2.adult-fanfiction.org/forum/forum/781-general-staff-questions/ and we’ll answer promptly.

As far as revenues, due to the nature of fan fiction and the Fair Use provisions of copyright law, no story posted in our archive can generate revenue. We are not a publisher per se, and don’t allow links to any revenue-generating site such as Patreon.

  4. The author, also known here as DedicatedQuill, changed their pen name and removed all their stories from the Internet.

I’m also going to ask that anyone who might have a copy of this story please DO NOT use our forums to pass that around. AFF respects the rights of authors to remove content, and we do not allow members to distribute hard copies of any removed works.

    for users with accounts only:
I found I was able to log in when attempting to do so from my profile page on the main site.

I do have to ask..what is WITH the website deeming freshly generated reset links as invalid/expired?

I believe the issue is that the password reset link you can generate from your Control Panel does not register in the database, so when you go to reset the password, the link doesn’t match the database. I am able to generate links that will appear in the database, until such time as that Control Panel link is debugged.

  6. We’re aware of the issue with Cartoons, and it will be addressed as soon as possible.

We’re not putting the archive over anyone’s stories, but we do ask that members make every attempt to post things in the correct places. As I said earlier, we moderators do not have the ability to shift stories between subdomains. They are separate databases, and access is strictly limited to the admin level staff. (If you click on the “Archives” link on the archive home page, you can see the 22 subdomains listed. The more active fandoms have their own subdomain, while others are grouped by general category, like Movies, or Television.) We can move things within a subdomain, but since readers will navigate to a category/fandom they want to read, if your story is posted elsewhere, they won’t see it, and that’s not what any author wants.

If you click on the field marked “Category” when uploading a story, you are taken to a rather extensive dropdown. For general subdomains like Celebrities, you’ll see many categories, including alphabetic groups. Clicking those will open a listing of all the subcategories in alphabetic order. It might take a moment to scroll to the correct fandom, but it’s quite simple once you’ve done it once or twice.  I did move what I could of your new postings; I am unable to move the Cartoon story posted in Celebrities, and until we address the issue with the Cartoon subdomain not registering our security certificate, you won’t be able to post it there. I understand that. But I would ask that you not post further Cartoon stories to Celebrities. I’m sure it will only annoy you further when I ask you to delete them and move them.

And as we’ve said in our FAQs, if you’re not sure where to put a story, you can always ask us in the General Staff Questions thread. If you need a new category for a fandom, we have a thread for Archive Category Requests. We’re happy to help, and we’re even happier when members work with us.

Thank you. I have spent the past few hours posting several stories that were on other sites but not here. Please re-order my stories to their own categories or add codes I missed as you have in the past. More will be forthcoming as they are generated.

  It would be a great deal simpler if you were to post the stories in the proper category in the first place. It’s a dropdown menu. The same goes for story codes, although at the moment only staff can add or edit codes. (Our normal process, just for the record, is to issue a formal warning for missing codes, and if the codes are not added, we will hide the story for a minimum of 30 days, at which point we will delete the story for noncompliance.)

Account unlocked. I hope to post the Star Trek story shortly. In the meantime, all fans are invited to seek out my new stories on AO3. Older versions will remain on this site and new stories may be added as time allows.

    Feedback is appreciated.

    Thank you,

    AchtungNight.

Update- I tried to log in and edit my profile and post new stories. No luck yet. :(

    Two things:

Did you log in with the updated email address or with the old address? Since I updated the email address for you, you need to use the new one as your login.

Does your password meet the current requirements? We’ve changed the length of the password minimum and maximum, although we still permit only letters and/or numbers. Password rules recap:  Between 12-18 letters and/or numbers long, case sensitive. NO punctuation, spaces, or special characters allowed. Do NOT use your old password, or let Google make a strong password full of forbidden characters for you.

As far as editing your profile, we still have some features that are not unlocked. Bear with us while we address those.

Your Star Trek movie has been posted here on AFF:  https://movies.adult-fanfiction.org/story.php?no=600095500  I did move it to the correct category within that subdomain, which might make it easier to find.

Ok so I LITERALLY have tried everything to search for all of the different types of topics I like and I can’t find them. For instance I will go to the search bar and type in Vinland Saga or Yu Yu Hakusho or Naruto and nothing comes up. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong and I just want boy love in my life so bad. Please help a poor girl out so she can get some sexy man time in her life. I just need to know the way to finding the stories. I don’t know why I suck at this. You guys rule. Thank you so much. And sorry if it’s completely obvious and I look like a dumb ass.

Many of the more popular animes have their own subdomains. If you click on the three bars at the upper left corner of the home page for the archive, you’ll see a dropdown menu.

    ArchiveHomePage.thumb.jpg.21b39a050582d624a93279e87be1e959.jpg

Click on “Archives” and another menu will open, listing all the subdomains.

YuYu Hakusho and Naruto have their own subdomains, for example. If you then click on Naruto, you’ll see more clickable links across the top. Click “Naruto” again there, and you’ll see an option to click on “Yaoi – Male/Male” which would be what you’re looking for in that fandom.
