I get what you're asking for, but I'm confused as to your "SW" and "GT" as they are not on our story codes list - what does this stand for?

Question about Fanfic warning preferences
RogueMudblood replied to draechaeli's topic in Legal Questions/Debates
I understand you want to draw more people into your story. All writers do. The problem is, if you don't have the correct warning codes on the story, the readers do get angry, no matter how good your writing is. Even if you just put a warning on that chapter, you'll get angry reactions, simply because people have been reading all along and they don't like Mpreg and would never have read it to begin with had they known. Now, they've invested their time reading your story, only to find it's going to go in a direction they have a personal squick with. There is actually a section of the TOS that applies: So, of course, we encourage you to use the correct warnings on the summary, or state "Warnings inside" if they are going to cause you to go over the summary limit. By that, though, we expect them to be at the top of chapter one, and we will look for them there. Otherwise, it can be argued that by not marking your story correctly, you did "intend" to mislead your readers. The last thing we want is to have to delete stories placed in the archive over tagging issues, something so easily avoided. Consider it this way: you're reading this involved story about two men which has gripped you emotionally. You've gotten through 15 chapters of some of the best stuff you've read in ages, and it's not completely smut - there's actually plot to it. You're intrigued by the writer, and you've even left them glowing reviews. You click on the link for the latest update and -bam!- rape scene. The first thing in the chapter, these characters, that you've come to know and appreciate, and you've genuinely gotten attached to, are suddenly in a situation involving rape. There was no warning on the story that this would be included, there was no- or little- indication in the actions of the characters from previous chapters that this scene would be here today. How would that affect you as a reader? -
disclaimer: I have not read these, I am going by Summary and author's notes only. The Ride by Master_of_the_Rebels An Urban Retreat by Arashi Amayako (this was affected by the site crash(es) and has numerous text glitches) On His Hands and Knees by PyschoticPixie (one-shot PWP) Disco Ain't Dead by KageKitsune XXX HedonisticOpportunist - this author only writes NaruSasu (in Naruto) mischief maker - this author writes NaruSasu in a threesome This was just from typing in "NaruSasu" for summary search - there were many, many more. - I did skim the fics and Sasuke is the bottom.

From a story in the archive: And another:

In Search of a Wand by devsgma sequel is also here: In Search of a Life
-
From a fic I was just skimming in the archive: "I didn't know canine dogs could do that."

un-story checking author out. (heh)

If this was lulabelle72, she left the fandom, sadly. She pulled all of her works. (And that's the only person I know of who wrote a fic by that title in this fandom, but if she's not your author, I hope you do find it.)

I moved your request to the tech support forum for DG to look at this - she is the one who handles merges.
-
Author profile - archive forum profile There's a link on the forum profile that says "click here to e-mail me". If they still access the e-mail they signed up with, they will receive the message - I don't know if that's a guest feature, though.

DG - the reference is to this post

And here's the link for you: What a Witch Needs by Petalsoft

If you recall the title, or if you can summarize the events, that would help.

No hassle. Okay, on the author panel, there should be a menu there that allows you to choose where to put a story. I'm looking at my author panel right now and trying to walk through this. So you see where it says "Take me to.." and there's a box. You click on TV. then "go". Once it loads, click on "Add Story" In the middle section, the fourth item down says "Category" - You want "S through Z" Then, in your second box, you choose "Sherlock (BBC)" That should upload the story to the correct sub-cat for you. -

The category you are looking for, is it TV or Movie? I ask because if it isn't currently in the archive, you will need to post a request for the sub cat in this sub forum: http://www2.adult-fanfiction.org/forum/index.php/forum/733-archive-category-requests/ As to moving the story, if it's uploaded to the wrong archive we delete them. As I'm not an author (and I've never posted a story here) I don't personally know how the jump menu works between sub-cats within the same archive, but DG has told me that it's a painless process for the author to do. So since you uploaded to movies, if the sub-cat you're looking for is a movie, then you can reference this FAQ on moving within the same archive: http://www2.adult-fanfiction.org/forum/index.php/topic/5381-how-to-move-your-stories-around-within-a-zonesubdomain/ Once you've requested the category (and given DG time to create it) then you move it there. If it's a TV show, you'll have to delete the story and reupload once the category is created. The only things that get moved instead of deleted are the stories affected by the site crash(es) several years back. -
Look for Harry get spanked or be put in diapers
RogueMudblood replied to Stevo1711's topic in Harry Potter
Try this one: Founder's Heir & The Philosopher's Stone I haven't read it, but it fits your "Harry in diapers as a teen" criterion. -
The author chose story deletion rather than fixing a story issue. As for contact, you may get in touch with DG and see if she is able to contact the author on your behalf.

It's actually not permitted to use the review board for story discussion. Information on the Twitter thingie can be found here (thank you, Apollo) How to code your recommended reading (within the AFF archive) can be found here (thank you, DG) We're not trying to downplay your suggestions; on the contrary, these are items that I'm of the understanding are under discussion for whenever new software can be coded for the archive. Just please try to remember that the archive software is older than dirt (technologically speaking, you could probably combine the ages of all the staff and come up with the equivalent of the age of the software, in terms of electronic age). As such, it simply doesn't have this capability. Here is the sub-forum where news is posted on all upgrades with the archive. We do appreciate suggestions. Just please be patient with us as the entire thing has to be re-written, and no one suggestion is something that can easily be implemented when you're talking about a DB that's over 7GB and growing hourly.
