Okay, first, you need to know what you're talking about. Deletion is *NOT* the same thing as a ban. A BAN is when DG adds you to the HOS and says don't come back and bans you. Second, the AUTHOR didn't have a problem with the deletion. The AUTHOR understood the reason, the AUTHOR was okay with it. We do actually have numerous duplicate memberships in the archive, which, when DG has the time, she merges into one. Of course, they have to be confirmed first, because as JayDee pointed out, several people can have the same pen name. For example, we have about 10 Aaron / aaron 's in the archive. There're also a lot of "fire" and "angel" and "demon" and other common names like that. And I did in fact confirm that the second two are dup accts @JayDee - not a single one under DracosPosingPouch - but 14 under "Draco / draco"

As I'm the one who left you the review, I will be happy to tell you that you can look to the side and see that I am staff. I am sure you are upset because the one you were left was regarding review demands. I will tell you the section in question: here The text: "I dunno if anyone would be interested in those, but hey. If you are drop a line somewhere." While politely worded, that indicates that you do not intend to write the story without receiving verification that it would be read, hence a "demand" for reviews. I know that's not what you intended, but that is how it can be perceived. As such, it is against TOS.

Can I just say that attitude is a contributing factor to the mentality that readers have that they don't want to review? Now, as far as people removing reviews, I've left concrit for authors trying to help them write better which was deleted as soon as they read it. My opinion on that is if they want to write poorly, there's nothing I can do about it. I said my piece, they didn't listen, not my problem. I just don't read their stuff anymore. As for glowing reviews for bad fiction (which is what the started the post), did anyone go to read the fiction of the people who left the reviews? Honestly, some people think that anything is well written. Then other people (Megan Consoer - and she appears to have clones now) insist on leaving an "I like your story, update soon" on everything. I know it can be frustrating to spend time doing something and not get any good response (or any response) when you finally put it out there for review, but there are published authors who have that problem too. I remember some of the books they had on the reading list in high school over a decade ago and I honestly thought "You know, this book sucks. I could read this book which has similar themes and is much better written." But the teachers would always respond with, "Do you have a religious exception to reading this material?" And that was the only thing that would get you out of it. (Like the military.) Have you ever seen the movie "The American President" ? There's a line in that movie that fits: "People don't drink from the sand because they're thirsty. They drink the sand because they don't know the difference."

What's so "cool" about the bad boy The lure of the forbidden. It's something you're supposed to stay away from. "Momma said no" kinda thing. James Dean. Fonzy Tom Cruise in Top Gun (face it, he's an ass in that movie) I think you got part of it right with North American social conditioning. Just like many women believe they're only attractive if they have flat stomachs - even after having kids. (Frankly, you wouldn't have had more than the first if he didn't still find you attractive.) Maybe it's a control thing. The author gets to control the douche in the story that they can't control in their life. As for the reader... I think it's like in Invisible Man; one of the characters (a white woman) asks the main character (a black man) to "rape" her - she wants a controlled forbidden situation. They (the "I-want-to-be-abused" people) don't know what's outside their bubble, and they want to explore it. With the fiction, it's a "what if" - with the "asshat game" it's more of a "I know he'll toss me aside when we're done and now I know what all the fuss is about". But then, some people like being treated that way sexually. That's their kink. (Sorry for all being from the female perspective, as I know there are just as many "bitch" stories where the guy is the lameass loser, but ... I can't give you anything from a male perspective.)

Can you be a teensy bit more descriptive? What do you consider "crazy"? Are you wanting MLC responses, any pairing (since it evolved from WIKTT)? Are you wanting bonding? Mates? regular pairings with forced marriage? unconventional pairings? The ones you say you can't find: do you have titles? Authors?

The problem is "other celebs mentioned". Each celebrity must be named in your disclaimer.

That depends....if there are no other TOS violations in your story, then we should have no reason to delete. However, a story may also be hidden, and eventually deleted, if there are any items in the guidelines of which an author is in violation. If you are ever unsure of what is allowed in your story, feel free to ask.
