  1. Honestly, there aren’t a lot of members who would deliberately game the system. We did have some in the past, but they tended to also demand reviews and indulge in other objectionable behaviors. I’m not going to say that an author shouldn’t fix a glaring typo, or formatting issue, simply to avoid bumping up a story. I think we can trust our members to not strive for front page dominance in an archive.

  2. Hello, BronxWench and all. Yikes! I wouldn’t knowingly “tweak” or fix errors just to bump a story up, either. And, up until the (truly welcome and awesome) Great Fix, the archive didn’t work like that. But now it does. 😮 What kind of “leeway” will be involved here? Obviously someone deliberately “gaming” the system isn’t cool. But does an author need to ignore a newly discovered yet potentially glaring typo, plot-hole, etc until they “unblock” themselves and post a new chapter, no matter how long that time might be? Thanks in advance, whatever your guidance might be.
