I’m starting to think we need to hire Guest for their Google-fu skills. I mean, damn, that’s some awesome work.

It does rather feel like it might have nudged beyond ‘misunderstanding’ and ‘despite making their best efforts falling just short of compliance with TOS’ to “Fic stealing wee gobshites.” I again sit in amazement at anon managing to google fu up the originals and I hope it doesn’t take too much time for BW to deal with it.

I think at this point we are done with the account. There is absolutely no effort to comply with our Terms of Service, or to police the content being posted by members of the joint account. I’m going to notify the joint account that it needs to be closed. I’m done.

It’s been dealt with. We’ve had this discussion about public domain and plagiarism before, and I’m really past explaining that just because someone says a story can be posted elsewhere doesn’t mean it can be posted here. The story isn’t considered public domain unless copyright has expired or it specifically states that it is placed in the public domain (which is more than saying it can be posted elsewhere). Even if it were in the public domain, copying a story and changing names is still plagiarism. And I’m equally in awe of Guest’s Google-fu skills. Thank you!
