    DracoxHarry Dragon HELP PLEASE

I can't find this story and I have been looking. It has a fair few chapters to it and Draco could turn into a silver dragon and Harry was his mate. Lucius was either with Severus or another man, and was kind to his son. In later chapters, due to being Draco's mate, Harry turned into a black dragon. Help me, please!

  4. Your entire premise is off, because valkyries aren't warriors of the Norse gods, they are grim reapers for fallen human soldiers. I don't really recall any myths where god or the gods have an army of warriors. Such servents tend more to be messengers if anything. Most wars in the old myths where the gods are involved are proxy wars where each god choses a human side to represent them and helps their guys out in much smaller ways, or battles that are so big that only the gods themselves can fight in them. The view of Norse valktries or Judeo-Christian angels as a army of heavenly warriors comes more from modern pop culture, which usually borrows names from old myths more than it does portray the myths faithfully.

  5. I'm fine as long as it's not mean spirited. The times I've offered criticisms of stories I strive to explain why and stick to the 'facts.' In once case, there was a popular series on another site where I left some negative remarks, although I pointed out that overall I liked the story. He replied in a PM, I sent him detailed remarks, and he followed up with a new chapter that expressed some of my concerns with character growth. Perhaps some people struggle to criticize without doing it harshly.

Best avoided. It's just a nasty, mean-spirited little thing which will need the trigger tags. Would have been better if I'd gone for Orcs gathered round painting another, nude, Orc and discussing their dislike of more conceptual art.

Sadly the fine art won't make it into the oneshot; this one features the less cultured Orcs. The sort who give the delicate, sensitive aesthete orcs of brush and canvas a bad name.

Thanks for confirming this, yes, it mostly takes place close to the Misty Mountains, known for their salmon fishing, snowboarding and Orc figure painting studios.

If most of the story occurs in Middle Earth, then yes, you can put it in the LotR crossover section.

My grandmother, mother and oldest sister all survived breast cancer. All three are gone now but we had them longer than we could have if not for mammograms.

  13. Wow--thanks for all the input! I like the idea of the hospital mix-up, especially because it helps to explain where the niece has been for the last several months. And the ferry-crash idea leads nicely into that, because it creates a plausible "presumed dead" scenario for the niece. This was a huge help. Thanks again, all.

  14. I agree that is very important. I think I do better than most by being an observant reader, but it also helps to have things pointed out. The two things I remembered most when writing was to be concise and not repeat words. You made mention of 'action verbs', and as you said I was likely unaware when I made my edit. I knew the sentence read better, but I didn't know why, which makes it more difficult for me to continue the practice. So not just reading, but discussing it as well. I do data science type of work for a geospatial data company, and in my spare time create more data science apps that allow me to sell sports data and analysis as a growing home based business. Then I got caught up in writing, as I can be obsessive/compulsive.
