InvidiaRed Posted August 24 Report Posted August 24 (edited) Come my darlings its that time of the year. The touch of fall tastes wind sweet on the desert air. The Harvest precedes the frost and the scarecrows grow active in their migratory phase. Aplenty is abound like the changes of the moon. For wealth cannot be measured in dead metal and electric glyphs. Hark! The Heralds cry! To thy bounty's surplus. GeorgeGlass Posted August 29 Report Posted August 29 I don’t think I have the bandwidth to write a story this year. Instead, I’ll write a poem titled, “You Were Warned.” Quote

Deadman Posted Tuesday at 10:00 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 10:00 PM (edited) Sadly, I don’t think in poem style generally. Sounds like it would be fun. I have a couple stories that could theoretically be Halloween themed (dark vampire stuff), but not in poetic form. Also not original fiction. Edited Tuesday at 10:05 PM by Deadman BronxWench 1 Quote

I wrote a somewhat more upbeat vampire story that’s already on the site. The ones I’m thinking about are probably the darkest stories I’ve written. Which isn’t necessarily my own cup of tea but I had an impulse. Quote

It’s not directly Halloween related but certainly could be. There’s a fantasy fulfillment aspect to the story which could involve wearing outfits. Not sure if I could finish in 500 words though. InBrightestDay Posted yesterday at 03:25 AM Report Posted yesterday at 03:25 AM There are now precisely three weeks until Halloween. I wonder...can I write The Lake House in that time? No promises, but I’ll see how far I can get! And of course, even if I don’t finish, I’ll review your works. 🙂 InvidiaRed and GeorgeGlass 2 Quote

My basic outline has a woman getting out of a sudden rain storm and happening upon a lone cabin with a guy inside. They ride out the storm together, both literally and figuratively. Many dark twists could be done from this. Quote
