Jashley that was some heavy shit right there. But when did Jack turn into a self absorbed ass? It's almost childish how he cries because he doesn't get his way. Maybe I'm misunderstanding but he used to be so vanilla, now he has so many big misconceptions about what's going on around him. It's like his character has almost gotten worse as the story progresses. He's lost his level head. Kayla is absolutely perfect, however. Love love love her.

Despite all my jack criticism the chapter as a whole was fantastic. I loved it. I just wish Jack would chop his head off and put it back on straight. Because when he turns into a delusional 5 year old I don't know, I have a harder time reading.

Oh and I saw you guys talking about this earlier and while there have been a few times I've been guilty of skimming a sex scene I don't do it often, and I think jashley really does a great job with them. I'm not reading the same thing over and over I feel like. To each his own, I guess.

Crazy prediction: jack, kayla, and tara get together, and the dad catches jack with tara. Just an opinion on what could happen in the next saga.as for jack, he does need rest after the crap he put himself through.

Johnny,

Not sure how old you are. I am 49 going on 50. I started reading porn mags at 12 yo. No, I did not have a perfect childhood that is the same age that my mom and dad got a divorce strange enough. I was a computer wiz when that meant something in the early 1980s. I have had access most of my life to this material. Honest to god I love Joe's work but there is nothing new to say on the subject of how it feels to have your dick put in a pussy. I have read non-porn books with graphic details of what it was like to start to fuck a Vietnamese whore to find she had put a razor in herself... I am trying to say I have read it all. I still love sex and having it but reading about it is not really what I am looking for. I search these story sights because sometimes you get lucky and find a raw talent like Joe. If I am looking for masturbatory material I watch porn vids. It is quicker(I do not have an infinite amount of time), does not require thinking(not really conductive, if I think about it I want a real woman), and does not trip my analyze this trigger(the same as the last one, the reason I am doing it is the time thing).

So again I read for the characters. I read known authors and actually highlight on second and third passes techniques like foreshadowing.

YNP, I'm actually scared that I agree with you on the pipe bomb, however, I do think, as I have said before, that a rekindling of the twin's relationship would not add to the story. More drama? Sure. Joe did talk about keeping on plowing through with the emotional stuff, so I could see where the long foreshadowed bomb could come in. Bringing the twins back with that would seem dumb, but Joe is one hell of a writer, so whatever he thinks is best. I couldn't write this. As for the sex, I have found myself after the stories just for the plot as well. It almost seems as if the sex is more "fan service" and often times, with chapters so long, is just thrown in. It's almost like it's there to hide the story as "sex story" and not a complete masterpiece. There are a lot of other chapters that could have gone sex-free.

I would normally agree with this assessment. I have never had or wanted to have sex with my sister. However, Joe has said he based Alan and Amanda on some real world friends of his that are both a couple and siblings. So to keep the characters true to their base he pretty much has to follow through. If he chooses other wise oh well, he changed the characters from reality, that is why they call it 'based on'.

Editing final thoughts on this one.

As far as drama goes, I hope that if they do get back to gather that Mom and Dad decide hands off from now on(Alan was serious about killing himself, you can see those decisions in someones eyes and I have been told by those that have, there is no mistaking it if you have seen it before), and that Alan and Amanda keep others out of their affairs. It really is no one else's business nor their place to champion them. They need to find the strength in themselves and each other to stand on their own if they do want a future.

I agree but I laughed so hard at that. When my parents were growing up they would have had the shit kicked out of them

I was raised '65 to '84(HS senior year, finished 5 months before my 19th birthday), I mentioned a few posts back I was 12 when my parents divorced. At 15/16 all my mom had to do was point at me and point to the floor in front of her and I went to have my mouth boxed. It only stung physically but her target was really the pride not harming the body.

However if I had had 2 sibs living with me(I have a younger half brother but he would not have been old enough for my sister and he belonged to my father) and they were not talking and I took Jacks actions after one had threatened suicide over it, she would not have interfered, no matter their past relations, I was with them more I could see more. She figured if we said we were moving out we would be back when the world kicked our asses(I know I threatened it once she said "you will be back when you find even family will not treat you as well as I do"), if we said kill ourselves we needed help of some kind, IE something had to change. My mom did work long hours and I was in charge when she was away. I was not allowed to punish but she took my word for what happened. I had a rep for telling the truth even if I had been in the wrong and knew I was going to get punished. All she had to do was ask me and I would without fail tell the whole unedited truth. I got a few spankings for what I did. But it would have been worse if I got out of one and she found out later I had lied. I would have had two one for what I did and one for lying.

Am I the only person who is finding Jack incredibly annoying?

It's an amazing chapter but his attitude makes me want to give him a good punch to the face. several times.

If you guys are like me and can't wait for something new to read, I found this story on sexstories.com called "take it easy". It's pretty good, but the author seems to have dropped off the map in the middle of writing it.

Ok guys lets be done with twins. it will get boring if that pandora opens again. it was really heavy emotional beating for us readers.but my gu says Amanda actually loves Jack, last time she tried to play sympathy card but was given cols shoulder by Jack.so she has burried those feelings deep because he is not reachable for her.but some time we cant get the things we wants and it sucks and hurts inside Big time.

but lets leave the things Be for now.

think about next saga:)

Can't wait for the next Saga. I love the Tara character and want her return to get to know her better. But I am betting on a revisit to this saga at least as a sub plot in a later one. Sorry I am still remembering from where he said he based these two characters and maybe I am reading more into certain things than I should.... I am the person who hates to admit this but have read all of Harry Potter, Outlander and Twilight multiple times just to highlight all the foreshadowing and misdirection in them. But I see quite a bit of that in the Twins Saga as well.

My favourite series of books is the kane chronicles by rick riordan, I love rereadig those and spotting how the characters develop, the foreshadowing and the little inside jokes you dont spot until you reread it.

Not heard of that one. These are not really my favorites... Outlander and Harry do rate high in the list but LoTR, Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever/ White Gold Wielder, the first twelve to fourteen Xanths, the original Dragon Riders of Pern trilogy, the harper hall trilogy, and quite a few others rated higher and have been reread more. I help kids, mostly family and their friends, with ideas for their papers, so I look into what I suspect teachers will be assigning for the next 15 to 30 years. I figure that a lot of current teachers will assign from these works (from the previous post) because they were current fads and the kids that grew up with them will still be using them because "They are the best," they forget that in 10 years these will look as outdated to the kids as Jonathan Livingston Seagull(btw I hate everything about this book, but would never say this to someone how had it assigned as required reading) or Shakespeare(I do appreciate these works, but kids do not).

Copy and Pasted from theater scene:

(plus, last thing I wanna do is piss of Copyright people)

I have never figured out how to piss for someone else. I can think of a couple more interpretations, most don't fit much better than the first one, but they are even less funny. God forbid you become a Copyright person, it does fit better, but that is the least funny one, it would have too many ramifications. I think you meant "piss off."

Hey guys! Reality Check time:

- The 'Seussical' sequence is pretty much how I remembered it when I saw it my Sophomore year, though I went with my girlfriend at the time. No, that says nothing about the relationship between Jack and Sam, I just wanted Sam there so he and Jack could have their talk.

- Running the mile in muggy, ungodly weather is exactly how I remember it. Years later, I still shudder at the thought.

- Had to have a chat like Jack had with Nick with a few guys. Not just guys who harassed my wife but guys who harassed my female friends. Never seemed to be in short supply.

- All the classes Jack chose were the same ones I chose for my Junior year.

- My parents often threatened to lock my brother and I in our bedroom until we learned to get along.

- I got my PS3 in college but more than once I bumped into my dad carrying away my PS2 for some sin or other. Always had that 'I'm doing this for your own good' look on his face.

I've seen some comments about how 'selfish' or 'annoying' Jack was in this last chapter. All I can say is...please don't judge him too harshly. Trust me, after my friend committed suicide, I was much the same way. In fact, I was worse. I constantly was all up in my friends' business, trying to make sure they were happy and not thinking suicidal thoughts. They weren't but I continuously checked to see whether they were or not. And if a couple I knew was having trouble...let's just say I had more than one person say, "Joe, I love you, but back off." Eventually I started to calm down and accept things but it was quite a while.

So, yeah, this whole Saga's been pretty emotional (coming right off the heels of the Tara Saga, just as emotional) so I'm feeling just a tad drained. Don't worry, I've already started the next chapter, first in the Summer Saga, which I promise is going to be a bit lighter and more...not necessarily carefree but relaxing. I need it and I think the characters need it. Not to say there won't be emotions and stuff in the upcoming chapters but it's not going to be the dangling-over-the-precipice level of 'feels' that these past couple of Sagas have been. I think we've all earned a bit of a breather.

See you soon! :)

I hope I do not get my head snapped off by your other fans for this one but please if you need to take a break do. I would rather get your best work and work your heart is in than something you feel you have to put together for us. Thanks for the check up at any rate.

EDIT:

Placed the word head where it belongs in the above paragraph.

... But when did Jack turn into a self absorbed ass? It's almost childish how he cries because he doesn't get his way...

I don't see where Jack has become so 'self-absorbed'. From the beginning of the story, it's pretty obvious that he loves his siblings. He's gone to great lengths to help them and put himself in jeopardy on more than one occasion on their behalf. That's hardly what I would call 'self-absorbed'; foolish, naive or stupid, perhaps but hardly self-absorbed.

Jack has invested significant effort and energy into trying to help Alan and Amanda sustain a relationship they said they wanted badly and to have them suddenly 'throw it away' with their 'oh, well' attitude was a crushing disappointment. Jack put more on the line to support their relationship than they did and his reaction is understandable.

Males mostly tend to the the 'fix it' type personality where females are the bemoan and talk about it type. Being unable to 'fix it', Jack's feelings of failure are easily understandable.

In my judgment, another excellent chapter. I'm looking forward to seeing how the visit to Kayla turns out. That bit of interaction should be interesting considering where Jack's head was at the end of this chapter; he certainly needs something positive which is why he went to Kayla.

I actually like how Jack is developing. In the beginning he seemed so perfect and now he actually seems human.

Well said. Going a little rogue or occasionally being an ass is all part of the teenage cycle. Nobody can be good ALL the time. If you don't test the waters of the dark side a little, you don't grow as a person.
