I have actually thought about ending it with a foursome, but I keep waffling on whether or not to try it.  I’m not planning on it for now, but I’ll see how it goes writing the rest of the story.  If the 3Plus tag should suddenly appear on the story, you’ll know what I’ve decided.

One pairing a part after the intro sounds like a good balance! Chapter 5, with an encore all character fourway would probably be a step too far and leave Ken in a "The spirit is willing but the flesh is spongy and bruised" situation.

Don’t get the wrong idea, this isn’t going to be a sci-fi equivalent of WitS.  I am trying to give T_B roughly what he asked for.  To give you some idea (chapter titles are tentative):
Chapter 1 (Apocalypse): character introductions, establishing the Ark, Abaddon impact. Chapter 2 (A Mother’s Decision): minor world-building, mother/son pairing Chapter 3 (Sibling Love): minor world-building, brother/sister pairing Chapter 4 (More than Friends): best friend pairing So there will be sex in all chapters except the first one.  The science is more for the setting than anything else.  I just really got into doing research for the setting.

Heh you started out taking on a request for a good ol’ incest + guest porno, and might end up with sort of hard sci fi survival epic. Reviewer: “You’re supposed to have entangled limbs, not protons!”
I guess when the characters first appear works for broad strokes physical description if nothing else!
I got my fingers crossed ya get through your issues, sounds like it’s gonna be epic with all the effort putting into it
 

Re-writer’s block, I guess. It needs a new start and a new ending and some more character florishes in the middle, and the first new start I wrote I’ve I don’t really like, so I’ve come up with a second one but was having issues getting it down. I figure the ol’ muses are pissed I don’t like the first idea.
But quadrille? I’ve knocked out 1000 words easy. Not my best work, but with a bit of polishing it’ll be reasonably avagerge compared to some of the dribs drabs prompt fics I’ve done!

Well, if it works it works!
I’m currently fighting a bit with Repopulation over a similar issue.  I’m trying to work out where to put the physical description of each character in the first chapter, which is especially hard since I get distracted every time I learn about some other cool feature of the Ark (that’s what Ken calls the Stanford Torus for fairly obvious reasons), like the chevron shields on the glass ceiling.  I swear, half of my author’s notes on this thing are just going to be “Isn’t science cool?!” followed by “Oh yeah, some character stuff and sex happened in this chapter too, I guess.”
So I definitely understand the issues with getting a proper beginning on a story, and going through several variations on it.

Strangely for a Judeo-Christian angel, he’s rather averse to Jewish people.
I may regret asking this question, but is Aryan Jesus actually a thing, or are we just talking about paintings depicting Jesus as white rather than Middle Eastern, like The Last Supper?
