  1. Yes, there is a very good reason for the domain change, which I'm not getting in to at this point in time. It has not a thing to do with any other site. The enter-your-age ugly blue page is an old cookie setter which is tied in to the chapter tables. Until the new code for the storyboarding is in place, it has to stay. It'll be replaced with a click page.
  2. hehehehe, not a problem!
  3. If you look at your stories, you'll find I already fixed that.
  4. Tackling Lawnzilla, now that I replaced my stinkin' gas can

Seriously. You give that lawn of yours an extra day or two between mowings, and it's going to go for world domination. O.O

  5. no problem. I still do have to leave that data alone for now for the database except for upon request; as we do still have people activating who need the data in their old profiles to be able to add to the new.
  6. As we still have that part of the old code up for now, what I do is if a user asks me to empty the old profile, I empty the old profile. That's something I have to do in the database itself, so if you want it done, give me your user ID so I can remove that data. The coder is not finished, so this part of the database does still remain.
  7. 600 words PER CHAPTER for an author's note. The actual disclaimer, if done within an AN does not count towards the words of an AN. For example, you have a disclaimer like so in the chapter: I don't own HP nor make any money from it. Then you have an author's note of 600 words. The words in the disclaimer above are NOT tallied in with the AN itself. Neither are additional tags which don't fit within the field for the summary.
  8. Not so new on the merging thing, what IS new is having a procedure in place for it that is publicly posted so members know about and can work with us on it. It's allowed provided that you contact staff with both links, and then let staff know when you're done adding the rewrite. DO NOT delete the old version, as it needs to exist before I can merge over reviews, ratings and hits. Once I'm done with the story merge, I'll delete the old copy. Yes, you can include the old version within the new version. After all, when rewriting, often with some stories, it's an expansion and change of something older.
  9. @Lerianis - As I avoid IE like the plague for the most part, if they've changed the restart of the computer requirement with the latest version, I haven't tried with it yet to know. IE always required a computer restart to make any changes take effect before. @tehuti88 - In your browser, you can edit your links. Change adultfanfiction.net to adult-fanfiction.org in the bookmarks you have. I ran a query in the database to take care of the address issue within the stories, where there are links so all that should already be changed. @Cal - Believe me, I understand. ^^ Coffee (in mass quantities) does me just fine

  11. Oh I know, I hate having to do it too, but I actually do rather often, just because of some of the things I do which end up making for corrupted cookie strings.

Have a just a few things I forgot to get to dammit. Other than that, I think everything is all set now.

  13. merged and deleted
  14. What browser are you using? Chrome is easy. For it, you go to settings, then clear browsing data. Yes, this was very necessary.
  15. That's actually a good thing. Because had you removed it, the reviews would be lost too. I'll get to it probably a bit later today. As to your stories, I just searched the database for anything connected to your user ID. The only data I'm finding are the four stories I mentioned.
  16. I see 4 stories for you, all in the hp subdomain. Speaking, of you're rewriting one, let me know when you're done with the old version so I can get the reviews and what not merged over to the new one.
  17. You all remember last year, middle of September? We have reset the software and the server, to use the new domain name. There is a very SLIGHT change in url: adult-fanfiction.org is now adult-fanfiction.org You will be automatically redirected to the new domain. BEFORE LOGGING IN to ANY application (archive and forum)- Clear your cache and cookies. If you don't want to clear all your cookies, simply delete any for .adult-fanfiction.org (that is how it would appear). As always, cookie clearing does require a browser restart, and with Internet Explorer, a computer restart. Your individual logins remain the same as they were.
  18. you're welcome! chances are, if the stories are older, I'll end up having to move 'em.
  19. Users CAN'T delete reviews on FFN. At least not logged in ones.
  20. y'know, one can only hope that with time and a bit of maturity, the young ones will learn that concrit is your friend.
  21. spoiler heavy works, as it's still your original writing. The concern with this is the lifting of content from the show scripts. If you use descriptives, for example, that are EXACTLY as they are in the script, that would need cited.
