I always wait with new OS releases to see what exactly is entailed. As it's a year off to begin with, it's a bit early to even say whether or not it'll be worthwhile. Given Microsoft's track record, I expect this next version to be as craptastic as Vista.

8 is being developed more for touchscreen devices than anything. So, while they may be releasing it late next year, there's no reason to change from 7 to 8 unless you have a touchscreen device.

Actually you can contact Midnigh, Shadow, and Naqaashi who have a Reviewers' Association thing going if you want. What they (and the others involved) do, is look for stories with no reviews.
