Should you find that you're suddenly missing a bunch of reviews, it's because I've been doing some clean up in the database. Approximately June of last year, it was discovered that my deletion utility was not deleting the attached data, when a minor was deleted, as it should have. Since then, I've been manually searching the database for the attached reviews, so that I can delete all the pre 18 content with the underage user. Apparently sometime towards the end of December 2008, the utility stopped working. I only found out the approximate time, due to statistic gathering. While I was doing that, I decided that with knowing the utility is not working correctly, it would be a good idea to double check the minor deletions. The deletions that were processed starting last week of December 2008, are where I started to find orphaned reviews from the underagers deleted at the time. So, I'm having to go through these record by record, to make sure I've gotten all the pre 18 content deleted from those past deletions. As of this evening when I stopped, I estimate I've deleted 2000 reviews over an 18 month time span. I've still got another 14 months of data to go through, so I expect this number to jump up greatly.

That's what it would be, is deletion of minors, primarily. Yesterday, when I was deleting them, a fair chunk of the kiddies had also left reviews.

Proof of age is not something that is required UNLESS WE ASK YOU TO PROVIDE IT.

Sometimes things take a little more time than one might think they should, be that as it may, she is indeed working on this.

Do I have that linked to somewhere? I know it's an outdated mod and no longer ported in.

I can (and do) adjust the posting date in the database. I have to, as the review dates would be before publication. This is why when someone re-adds for me, rather than me moving the stories; I tell them to leave the original loads alone. I need the date data (which is not displayed except in the db). As to the mythological stuff, if you base it on actual mythological characters, it should go to where those stories are in books.

It's actually in books. If you re-add them to books, and then tell me when you have, I can merge over hits, reviews and rates from the other table. Once you do the new add, let me know and LEAVE the original stories. I'll delete them when I've finished.

I can't find a reference where it was a staff removal, which means the author removed it. I see that often enough where an author takes something down to rework it. As the story was in originals, if the author is also published, and converted it in to work for publication, that's actually one of the more common reasons I've seen FOR an original fiction to be removed by an author, in those circumstance.

Nope, still no chapter search. With a database that's 8GB, and that mostly chapter data, that would be too much of a strain on the database itself, and slow things down tremendously. You'll be able to search members, story summaries and titles. The reason search with google does not work is because of the age verification form. What we've done for now, is relocated it, so when you first visit, it shows up when you click a chapter. That way, this should hopefully open things up for the indexers to work more effectively within the archive. Given that the database and archive is split, when wanting to search an original story, you need to be in the original subdomain for that search. Same for any other of them.

If we still allowed the html upload, that would be handy. But, we've got CKEditor integrated and it imports the word files via copy/paste in a popup and parses out the garbage while retaining the formatting.

That applies to only if we ask you for it. When we ask someone to provide proof of age, we also give them a time frame to work within, and go from there.
