  1. The users have to add the rec reading and such to the new profiles.
  2. As the archive only started sending validation emails yesterday, yes, this would be referencing a forum registration
  3. You have to add your rec reading list to the new software. Look up your old profile in any part of the archive, and then start adding to it.
  4. @deacon's frost angel, I'm showing you've not initiated the new login as yet. The link to go to is http://members.adult-fanfiction.org/login.php. Be sure before doing this, that you clear you cookies and restart your browser. The new software has different cookies. After you fill out the information as prompted, you'll get a validation email. Be sure to check junk/spam folders for it, and then click the link in the mail to validate.
  5. That has nothing to do with the page draw error. You have to login in to the new system here, first. Be sure to clear you cookies and restart your browser before you do. Then, you can look at your old profile, and go in and add your rec reading in to the new profile.
  6. @LaBibliographe - 1. The coding changes themselves will not fix the draw errors. I'm doing that, a chapter at a time. It's something that HAS to be done manually. I've stopped everything else I was doing to fix the db crash from years ago, to concentrate on this particular problem. But, it will take me some time. 2. How I'm fixing is simply making sure the text is in paragraph containers. I'm not editing them at all. Because that's ALL I'm doing at this point in time, you will have to go back in and address some spacing issues, (for some reason some words are now running together, when they shouldn't, and don't in the raw data), if you added format codes, you'll have to remove those, and use the rte format tools to reformat that text. 3. As I said above, yes, they'll get fixed. However, please understand I'm having to go through each and every story, chapter by chapter, archive wide. I fix what's walled and leave the rest alone.
  7. FlameWolf, I'm showing you have two accounts. You'll have to wait until after I get home from work for me to merge them
  8. I checked for this one, staff had nothing to do with why it's not visible. Apparently the author has removed it.
  9. I would suggest you read before you post, as the answers are right there in the topic above you.
  10. Go to this link first please, and follow the instructions.
  11. When you register, you have to click the validation link that is emailed to you, or it will not allow you to login. For returning users, first time login with new system, go here.
  12. It's the same email address in the archive. I'm not seeing multiple accounts in the archive. Have you cleared your cookies to allow the new cookie to set?
  13. okay, so you're saying we don't have it as a tag, and you want to put up stories that need this tag? If so, until I get to that, then yes, use "contro"
  14. If you can link me to five pre-existing of the pair, I'll create the pair cat
  15. You need to add text containers as you're uploading a .txt file. in other words, where you have a paragraph, add <p> add the beginning of the paragraph, then </p> at the end. The alternative is to just use the rte itself, and then it won't be an issue.
  16. If they've gone missing, either the user was underage and deleted, or the author needs to correct something so the story can be made visible.
  17. What Bronxie said Melrick. Odd thing about the time left they give you, is it actually depends on how much of a fighter the person with cancer is. My father in law was given the same, but lived another 3 years.
  18. hehe yeah, I feel yer pain..
  19. That has to do with the software changes upcoming tomorrow. At that point, the old profiles will be obsolete, and left for reference, while members edit the new profiles
  20. As I have 456498 chapters records to check for wallotext issues, the repair part of clean up is on hold while I find those and fix them. What this will entail, initially, is my placing these records in paragraph containers and reinserting in to the database. of course this does NOT affect all those records, but enough of 'em that it's going to take me a solid month or two to go through, find, and unwall. I'm not fixing any kind of errors this time around while fixing whether or not these things are in paragraph containers. Nor am I adding the formatting that may already be there. I'll get to all that later as we get to those various sub domains for actual complete repair
  21. it's even easier if working from word. Just make sure you copy the text in to the box "paste from Word" and all the formatting is retained. Of course, you do want to select all and delete what's there first...LOL
  22. Sure. Just edit them where you're not uploading from a .txt file. That's what caused this to begin with, was straight text adds. It just wasn't VISIBLE for all of them, until a user went to make a change in a chapter where this had happened, until we fixed the other issue 2 days ago. So now, one sees all of the chapters where there are no text containers in the data. (i.e. paragraph markers in html)
