Right end of the title bar is s toggle for collapse/not collapse any given section. Depending on the skin is what'll be there. It should be a +/-, as that's default with almost every skin I've ever seen. What skin are you using?

I can get in to more detail here as to why the outright deletions for minors. It is ILLEGAL for them to be on site. It is illegal for their CONTENT to be on site. So, I am obligated to remove ALL of it where a minor is concerned, and the content is posted underage. There are remnants of where the story was left and modified, and author deleted from the archive yonks ago, but as we find those, I delete those too. With plagiarists, I take over the profile most of the time. I don't leave the stories, as they take up space unnecessarily. With the database at 8.3GB and growing daily, I don't leave the stories in these affected profiles.

I don't write, but I can tell you from what I see when I read (as I have time for that, not so much anymore ). Fandom is honestly very important as to how many reviews a story will get. It's a pity, but there it is. The 'verse which started this archive gets less reviews than just about any other subdomain. Why? Because it's old. Same for my OTHER fave to haunt (LotR). Yet, IMO some of the best writers I've had the pleasure to read started in Buffy 'verse or writing elf slash. In fact, a good many of 'em have gone on to be picked up by publishers, and published. So, when I actually DO make the time to read, I make a point of leaving a review. Particularly seeing as what I tend to read doesn't get much in the way of reviews at all, due to being in old fandoms.

Users can easily collapse the categories themselves, and leave open the ones they want to have to open. There's an icon in the line with the category name which allows you to do so. Click the "-" and the categories you DON'T want to see are collapsed. As to disliking the forum in general, that is your choice. The "Please Read" section encompasses far more than site announcements. The search bar is already in the logo header space. The user bar takes up very little space at the top of the page, above the logo bar. This SINGLE LINE has the messenger, profile, and login/out options Below that, you have the links bar to the archive, other modules of the forum. Directly below THAT is the shoutbox. Yes, it is turned on globally by default. Again, something the user can collapse with a click. As long as you're logged in, the changes a user makes to appearance in that manner stay in place until the user changes them again. It all revolves around whether one wants to use the simple tools in place to affect appearance of the thing for themselves. As to not reading the responses, why would you bother to make a post if not to get response?

I deleted the last comment, please do not post it again, guest who won't name him or herself. This site is restricted in age to users aged 18 and above. That fact is PLASTERED all over the site. Users who come here underage and create accounts know that when they're caught, we delete them. If we did NOT take that action, nor actively work to eliminate underage users, this site would get in to some serious trouble, as well as the potential for the same for the people behind the site. If you can't understand that, it's fairly plain to me then that you also do not belong here for quite likely the same reason.

I deleted an author who used the pen name "Erasmuss" a while back, was a minor at time of registration.

For real person fiction, our requirements are strict and we have NO wiggle room on 'em. People are their own intellectual property. This is why it's so critically important that it's clearly stated you don't know the person, you make no money from the story, and that it is completely fictional. Even then, if the person in question wanted the stories downed, they'd end up being removed.

Hi there BlackMaiden, As I stated in my other post, the new parts of the software are heavily reliant on CSS, for menuing and etc. As you can't use CSS for database functions, I'm afraid that using it for that won't work...

If your story is for the TV series, then that's where the category would go. Let me know whether it's based on the anime, the movie, the tv show, or the manga so I can add it to the proper place.

Did some tinkering, so that I now know HOW to do all this stuff on my droid. You'll need 3 apps from the google play store, or the app store Dolphin browser Opera browser jota text editor The browser is much better than the default browser that the Android comes with, and it allows you to access the functions properly. When opening the story edit panel, and adding a chapter, you'll be able to use the text area for the rich text editor, except there won't be format options. When adding a story, there is NO issue with recaptcha other than the normal it likes to throw up unreadable garbage, but that's ANYWHERE. Just cycle through 'til you get a code you can read, as always. You'll need to use the Opera browser to EDIT using the rte. Where the Dolphin browser lets you add, delete, and etc, for some reason I'm not able to get the edit screen. However, where the Opera browser won't let you ADD with the rte, it will let you edit, with all the formatting options available. The text editor is for if you should want to upload a file, as we only allow .txt file uploads. However, the native app in the 'droid even when saving as text, does not save as plain text. You get garbage characters or file type not accepted if attempting to use it for text uploads.

The current search engine will only display the first 200 results it finds. This is why we've already had the sphinx engine added to the server, so that when the function is written USING the sphinx engine, we can get up to 2000 results without doing much of anything in the way of working enhancements in to how it works for the site.

When I have the ability to create infinite categories, I can do more WITH the categories. As I don't have that ability yet, (it's not yet been written for me), you would still have to do a tag search with the search engine, allowing for more than M/M/M in threesome. As the current search engine (it's also not yet upgraded) is limited to 4 or more characters in the search string, if you search the summary (where the tags live) for M/M/F, M/F/F and etc, you'll find the threesomes that are not all slash.
