Eagerly awaiting the next website update… story posting?  I hope.  Got two things ready for posting, one’s the halloween fic, one’s not.

Well, the admins of AFF are so skilled they scared the crap out of me.
The other day I got an update that I would need to verify my email or something to that effect, since the site was at long last coming out of Read Only mode.
...only problem was, I received this email at an address I didn’t think you all knew.
 

le sigh... Love me some good and well done magical realism… Decided to give the show “Raising Dion” a chance. Got into it, like it, actually quite like it… then watch seven year old with superpowers break into super secret lab to find a bunch of animals that would be exotic in the eyes of a little black kid in the middle of Atlanta, and he goes 
”Wow, where do all these animals come from?”
Godfather-mentor-sidekick: “They come from Iceland...” while staring at a pair of sheep in a glass cage.
Me…: “OOooh, yeah, no, they don’t, buddy, those are not Icelandic, and that horse sure as shit ain’t either.” 
Magical realism utterly shattered...

Here’s some “ear-worm candy” for all of you to go along with mine.
A very newly formed teenage rock band performs a cold-read “spite-set” during a live appearance before an audience because the band’s leader totally misunderstood a criticism offered by a performer he invited in to listen to them.
The set consists of: Rock and Roll (Led Zeppelin,) Nights on Broadway (Bee Gees,) Immigrant Song (Led Zeppelin,) Babe I’m Gonna Leave You (Led Zeppelin version,) transitioned directly into 25 or 6 to 4 (Chicago.) 
The band hasn’t performed any of these songs as a complete band before, and have no sheet music in front of them.  They literally put the set together in a two minute conversation before playing it live. 
Yet they’re good enough that only the few people who know the band pulled the set out of their asses on the spot even realize that the set was anything other than a well-rehearsed performance.  This was their second set of the night.  The first set, which the band leader didn’t think they rehearsed well enough, was also very good and well received by the audience.

just found out that David Crosby passed away at the age of 81!

so update, i finally got my hours changed. my boss even went and changed my availability when i was asking a dumb question about some mark downs i had to do. so i am now 12-9 which helps but not alot cuz i stills gotta do lyft/uber. i see your guys points for amazon. my best friend works for them and he really likes it there. he wanted me to do 3rd with him cuz its more pay ($2 more) and i would have rides home every night.

Sitting at my desk last night and some movement on the floor to my right caught my attention.  It was a giant spider, lumbering across the floor.  It turned out to be an Australian tarantula, our biggest spider.  The other night it was a foot long lizard.  What the hell is it about my room?

My day job has been a gong show of late, troubleshooting AFF's woes has remained on my mind.
Hoping to start the first phase of unlocking the site this week.  So don't be surprised if you get an email asking to re-verify your email and to change your password. 

While it may seem quiet of the surface, it’s been quite busy behind the scenes for AFF.
We’ve been busy doing a security sweep of user accounts. Accounts with invalid or disposable e-mails have been purged.

Currently, we are merging the over 5 k users with duplicate (or more) accounts down to a single account per user.

So I’m dictating dialogue into my phone for my upcoming story “The First Adam,” and my phone thinks Adam just whispered in Eve’s ear, “You were born to beat bread.”
My question is, beat it at what?

Must. Re-Outline.
Ka Pait was outlined to be 20 chapters.

I wanted to share a real zinger for anyone who needs a laugh today. For this to make sense, you need to know three things: 1, I'm bi with a very supportive straight husband; 2, I'm in the closet IRL because of homophobic loved ones, and 3, I'm "out" online under my pen name. Oh, and 4, my husband Cold is an adorable smartass.
I spent some time today working in our big hall closet, up on a stepladder. When I heard Cold come through the front door, I warned him to be careful coming through the hallway because "I'm kinda in the closet."
   "Kinda?" he retorted. "You're entirely in the closet." 
   I could hear the unspoken bi joke like a cat hearing a can opener. "I'm only in the closet IRL," I reminded him, "online, everyone and their gay stepdog knows I'm bi." 
    Cold poked his head around the door. "Either you're in the closet or you're out of the closet," he teased me. "You can't be both. You're not Schrodinger's bi."
 And that's how I realized it is entirely possible to laugh yourself right off a ladder, and that, despite getting older, Cold IS still able to catch me before I can fall on my oversized rump. I'm still grinning about this, and it's been over an hour!

Today shall be my first day of work as a CNA! I don't count the orientation day because that was just watching a few videos and filling out a bit of paperwork. Anyhow, I'm very over the moon to start in a few hours. It's an eight hour shift, from 2PM to 10PM. I can hardly wait to start getting to know the residents and my coworkers.
