  1. Hmmm...Anything so long as Megan dies by the end eh? *thinks* Actually, I may be able to pull something off, now that I think of it....
  2. Most of those were abysmal, but I'm rather fond of these two. When I read them, they read as extremely dry humour. Especially the second. I swear I've heard something like that watching Monty Python.
  3. My gods...This thread has taken a turn into absurdity! I'd love to get involved, but I'm bad at writing off the fly and even worse at parody/revenge fantasy. (Pity too, I'd love to represent the SO:3 fandom with a cameo by a cranky, homicidal Albel Nox. But would it count since she never reviewed those stories?)
  4. Yeah! You get my point. I've always hated that. It's the poorest form of keeping a character IC evidently. The badfic authors use it to defend their lack of talent, I'm convinced of it.
  5. This a crime I commit on occasion, I'm afraid. Though usually my summaries are pretty clear as to who it involves and I'm pretty loyal to one pairing in the particular fandoms that I've written for. If it's outside my usual pairing, I do warn.... Gods, I hate that too. It always struck me as poor erotica. As if the smut is all that matters and the reader doesn't care who's getting it on, just so long as it gets them off.
  6. I've learned that if a character speaks in a unique manner at times that in fanfiction he/she will speak like that all the time. Examples to clarify my muddy point: --Sesshoumaru's occassional habit to refer to himself in the third person ("This Sesshoumaru...")InuYasha fandom --Albel Nox's oddly endearing tendency to delegate everyone he meets into the catagories of either "maggot", "worm" or "fool". SO:3 fandom
  7. CC verify would solve the problem. But then I wouldn't be able to post anymore because I don't have one....
  8. I'm actually rather compulsive about my labels, noting anything out the ordinary if possible and making the content as clear as I can without overdoing it. I must admit, I can be rather vague with my het stuff, but that's because I suppose I can be rather vanilla with my het pairings (or perhaps it's due to the fandom. Integra engaging in any sexual act with Alucard is kinky enough... ). With my yaoi, I'm a bit more careful. I understand that not everyone can handle the gay sex and reading about boys in love and blissfully sucking each other off. It does drive me crazy when slash writers don't note anal intercourse. Perhaps it is because it took me forever to find the appeal in the act and I realize I'm not the only one who might think that.
  9. I'm surprised no one's mentioned Crispin Freeman yet. *chuckles* To be sure, he's a dub whore, but I can't help to fond of him even though he seems to play the same sort of character again and again (evil/crazy/sexy/morally questionable types). Ah, he does it so well. His voice has the embarassing ability to make my brain turn to mush. Ps. In addition to many animes and some RPGs, Crispin Freeman was the voice of Alucard for "Hellsing".
  10. *snorts* Yeah, why is that? Why is every other AU a high school fic? I mean seriously! I think I've maybe read 2 of those sorts of stories that were good (and one doesn't count because it's kind of...odd....).
  11. Well...I've admitted many a times that I was a little smut junkie as a teenager (things haven't changed much, just a bitter awareness of quality over wank material). I also must admit that when I was 11 or 12, I got ahold of my mom's copy of "Women on Top". As for the internet, I was pretty much of age when I started going on, and I can't say for sure if I'd known about the law's true ramifications that I'd have avoided the sites. Probably. I wouldn't have had to wait for long.... (Though considering my rebellious streak, I don't really know... I suppose that makes me a really bad person....) As for the ten-year-olds, I have no fucking clue what they're doing reading erotica. Shit, I have even less a clue as to why they would be writing it. Blame it on society? (is getting sick of blaming it on the parents, cos the parents don't seem to really care, do they? /bitter much?/)
  12. Oh how appropriate! I just got a review for a story that was asking me to continue with a very clearly marked one-shot. Now I understand I'm a pretentious asshole who uses "Finis" rather than "The End" but surely people can get the picture when the story is labeled as "one-shot" or next to status it says "complete". I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. It is posted at ff.net. (*sighs* I only post there because it's one of the few places I can get any recognition for my most recent fandom obsession. I'm not a review whore, really I'm not, but it kinda gets frusterating after months with nothing....)
  13. Bah, it's just a difference in maturity. One person (girl?) understood the there were rules that needed to be enforced and bowed out gracefully. The other little twat sits and whines incoherently with all those stupid little arguments: Teens know just as much about sex as adults now! They're just words, what harm am I doing?! My parents don't care! It's not fair! Yes, yes, I realize this and if it weren't against the law, I'm sure the only thing the mods would be worrying about around here would be content and idiot trolls. But guess what: It's the law and no matter how anyone argues, whether it be intelligent or insipid, these kids need to suck it up and deal.
  14. My sensibilites are too delicate to read the story myself (I was date raped and avoid reading about such things if it's possible), but honestly i think it's all rubbish. To be true all erotica and smut has basis in our personal desires but from what I've read in this thread, the girl goes too far. And tries to justify it with what was that? Antropology? Whatever. She should know better than to open herself up so wide. Gods, when did people get so trusting on the internet?
  15. I have also learned that you can find bondage smut in any and all fandoms (not matter how absurd it may seem).
  16. Ah! I remember these! I still love the Japanese word processor warning the best. This reminds me of the suicide hotline signs posted not just near the local train station, but posted practically on the freakin' tracks. As if it matters by that point...
  17. I'm feeling apathetic about this topic today. Marriage is no longer an institution or really all that important in this modern age. Without doweries and virginity, it's just another overrated part of life that society wants you to buy into (like Britney Spears and slim thighs). Yes, I understand the tax breaks, but by reading this thread I now understand that it only matters if you wish to have children. I have never been interested in breeding.
  18. Well that certainly makes more sense than my toying with the concept that Superman's a masochist. Gah, it's been ages since I've read anything other than JTHM, Lenore, and all that weird stuff when it comes to stateside comics. Mostly I've been sticking to manga (but not buying into the bullshit, trust me).
  19. I can't believe I just read the words 'kryptonite' and 'dildo' in the same phrase. That would totally fuck with Superman and that smacks more of the basis for a rapefic *cringes* *thinks* Unless of course Superman's a masochist. (and am I actually seriously analyzing this?! )
  20. See what I mean? Crazy fuckers, the lot of you. That's okay, I'm quite sure that I'm included in that lot.
  21. Oof...I feel old now too. I guess it's because I really got into reading and posting fanfiction late in life, I'm still amazed by how young a lot of these writers are. When I was 18, I was writing a lot of "Velvet Goldmine" fanfiction for the Pretty Boys fan site and most of the posters were in my age or a college age. The quality was filtered by a couple admins as well. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I never found so much bad fanfiction since I started posting and reading on these bigger, less specialized sites. I don't know what I'm trying to say. While it's frusterating to read badfics by squealing fanbrats, just as many younger authors are quite promising. Ugh, I'm really trying not to be a hypocrite. That girl's got a pure, good soul. Makes me feel all black-hearted and evil. I just would have kept on posting and kept mum about my age....
  22. I think that I just experienced a major case of head-explody picturing Batman and Superman (trying?) to have hot monkey sex. And people wonder why I love AFF.
  23. Bah, cheeky little fanbrats are ruining for all the girls who really do wish they could be men (or at least have a penis)....
  24. Hmmm...A few subtly erotic phrases can go a long way, but I generally agree. I must admit I went through my talk-dirty-to-me phase when it came to sex in real life, but after awhile it just seemed silly. Granted, I'm a big fan of dialogue during smut, but nothing like "fuck me harder". That's just distracting. A breathy little "more" or "you feel amazing" does me just fine thanks. I've learned that more fifteen-year-old girls have a fetish for slash fiction than I was ever aware of....
  25. No matter what the character's true personality, if there is a difference in age between two men in a gay relationship, the younger man in always the bottom.
