Wow... no one's answered this in MONTHS! *shrugs* Okay... well, my username is actually a name I used when I was a stripper a LOOONG time ago. I was new and never thought about it until the day I started working. The other girls thought long and hard and came up with "Cocoa Brown". It was too plain so I switched the Cs to Ks, and KoKoa B was born! I've been using that and my real name as pen names ever since! So there... don't judge me; you asked the meaning behind it and you got it!

I would like to add my opinion on this subject! First: I didn't vote in the poll because I can't select all three options: all of the options pretty much sum up how I feel! LOL I love writing stories and because I am a selfish whore, I like to write to satisfy myself. After becoming familiar with fanfic and actually looking at what fandoms are popular, I came to the conclusion that although there are some great stories out there, the ongoing trend has been to write about pairings that the audience wants to hear about. I don't agree with this unless it is a collaborated work and even then, the preference should be between those two authors. Looking at my stories not getting any reviews makes me wonder a lot of things: am I THAT bad of a writer that no one wants to even grace me with the one review that suggests that I find another calling; maybe they are not interested in that fandom (but, then, why the hell did they click on the story in the first place: I KNOW that I made it clear what fandom this belongs to), maybe they don't like the pairing(s), is my OC too Mary Sue-ish, do they not like OCs (once again, I don't tag stuff for my health...), maybe the actual story is boring to them, maybe they're waiting for it to be complete before they review; these are the things that I worry/think about. I may be one of the very few that's actually looking for concrit; I do like that my stories are at least getting hits but I have no clue whether these people are simply afraid to give out concrit or simply read the first sentence and said "F*ck this; I'm going to go rearrange my sock drawer..." (trust me... I have read a story that made me feel that rearranging a drawer would've been a more useful time waster than reading that story)! Now, this is not really a complaint about lack of reviews; I've stated numerous times in SB that I got more hits on a story in the few days I posted it here than I did in the whole entirety its been on that other site! I can't help but to want to know what the readers thought. When I finally got my first review on a story, I had to run and tell everyone in my household; I was THAT excited (although, their natural response was to simply pat me on the head and give me a brownie...)! After reading what the vets had to say about not giving out reviews and their horror stories, it is very understandable why a lot of people don't leave reviews! I wouldn't want my head chopped off because I gave an honest review! I... can't remember where I was going with this so I'll end it there! LOL

The fonts are in my original document but in the edit window, the specific fonts are not available. so, I did select the font afterwards and used the font tool in editor.

I don't know if this is an on-going problem but when I use different fonts when editing chapters, they do not appear when you look at the story. I can bold, indent, underline and italize but the font changes do not take affect.

This just reminds me of how I was inspired a few days ago to post whatever story I want to, regardless of the ratings and/or reviews it will get: write your sex scenes however you want to write them! As authors , we all have different styles (at least, we hope we do) of writing. Many of us have been writing for a long time and so we know what we like to put in our stories. Being raised in the area I was in, I've always been used to slang, period so it does reflect in my stories (thus the reason I tend to write in the 1st person a lot, something that I've just started to steer away from). To me, it depends on not only the type of story I'm reading but also the ethnic background of the writer. I've seen and read a lot of African American (I prefer to say black but that's just me...) erotica that uses "dick", "pussy" and have no problem with it; it actually flows right along with the story (as well as what and how I'M used to speaking). I'm also used to seeing "cock", "balls", "cunt", "juices", etc. Which terminology I'm used to seeing is depending on the time era that the story is from as well, like Bronx said. Okay; rambling (again... *sigh*)! Anyway: if you feel more comfortable writing your sex scenes using techincal terms, then go for it! But, like Dany pointed out: the majority of erotica is made to be naughty and slang words gives it that naughty/shock value. As far as an answer to your question: would I read a story that had sex scenes with the right, technical terminology? Unless I'm trying to educate myself, no. I like to read stories that I can really get into, that I can mentally see what the author is describing. "He rammed all nine inches of his cock in her pussy"~ I can physically see that. "His penis entered her vagina"~ I could see that but it's more like I'm reading from a sex ed magazine or something!

Hi! I'm KoKoa B! Like many of the authors here, I have been writing stories for as long as I could remember; at least from the age of 10! I had started unknowingly writing fanfic for the past 10 years (it was mainly celeb fanfic) and after my sis-in-law got a glimpse of a few stories, she was the one who suggested that I start posting a few online. Unfortunately, I've only been able to post one story and now that I've found this site, I think it would be more suited on here than on ff.net! Seeing that I am new on here, I have questions galore! But, I will save them for other topics in the forum... hopefully! Wait; introduction of myself~ right! I tend to ramble... uh; I'm in my 30s so the underage thing has been nipped in the bud there. And, um... that's really it!
