The ratings system here is dubious. Any system that can be skewed by anonymous votes up and down is inherently flawed. As far as minors reading things they shouldn't. as we've all said countless times, parental supervision is a large part of that. My kids' computers are in the living room so I know where they go. I've always monitored them. That's part of being a parent. If you want to be your kid's friend, you need to first be their parent and teach them what they'll need to know in life, like obeying rules and not indulging in inappropriate behavior.

I've always liked being able to have everything on one site. That was as much a draw for me as the fact that this site was actually moderated, with staff that hung out in the shoutbox and talked to members. Of course, that sort of led to me joining the staff, but it's all good!

Hi! A couple of things come to mind. First, try logging out of the archive, and then logging back in using the fields in the upper right corner. We have a known glitch that makes the center login fields work only when creating the new account and activating it. After that, they don't work. Second, remember that passwords are case sensitive. If you used a capital when setting the password, you need to use a capital when logging in. If neither of those help, then I suggest clearing your cache and cookies and logging in again. Sometimes you get a corrupted cookie string that can cause this issue. Just keep in mind that clearing your browsing history doesn't clear the cache. We have instructions here for most major browsers.

Aaawww, disappointing! I grew up around kilted men, so for me it's neither feminine or particularly unusual. As far as cross-dressing males, I can appreciate a really good cross-dresser as a performer, but in what I write? My slash pairings are generally two men that are equals, not a man and his partner who is trying to be a woman with a cock. I don't understand that particular fetish (cross-dressing) well enough to write it, and I'm not one to misrepresent other people's pleasures.

For Culloch's Rest - Chapter 22: "Jingo" was a tad easier for me, since I did have a modern character to use it, although the fey were puzzled. And yes, Paul has turned his attention to making a life in the fey realm rather than hoping for any sort of salvation in his own world, but there is never any guarantee that what he puts in motion will work exactly as he thinks it will. What I always find compelling is your unveiling of the workings behind the facade. It's a theme you've explored in other work, and it's utterly fascinating. The change in Anders between Amaranthine and Kirkwall is profound, and the canon explanation of his hosting Justice is simply too much of an artless dodge. Yet you make the changes far less of a clumsy contrivance, and much more of a glimpse behind Anders' eyes. I truly enjoy that.

I've deleted no reviews since I first began posting fiction online in 2008 simply because I was feeling hurt by what the reviewer said. Sadly, I lost all my reviews on FFN when I removed my work there due to the rampant plagiarism and lack of moderation on that site. Having said that, I will admit to having deleted a few non-reviews. Two were responses to warnings I'd left as a moderator here, and the authors posted to my review board rather than emailing. I replied via email, but deleted the non-reviews. The only other non-review I deleted was posted on the latest of a series of prompt response one-shots I had done, and the reviewer was posting in retaliation for my having warned a friend of hers. It was obvious from the review that she had simply gone to the first subdomain where I had something published, and grabbed the story at the top of the list, which, as anyone with sense knows, would not have been the first thing I'd published, but the most recent. It was not a serious review, and although I have retained a screenshot, I did not dignify that idiocy with a response, nor did I feel obligated to keep it, typos and all, on my review board. For the most part, I try to respond to all my reviews, and my review threads are right on my profile. I love a good discussion, and I love good concrit even more.
