*shakes head* I know they have ToS - and yes, on occasion we'll mass report a plagiarist to make them take note, but just cause you don't like a story? Bah - Ah well, let 'em come here and try that... I'll bring out Bob!

Actually, the email that we provided is valid as that is the email address from which we received her rather whiney email about being disciplined for violating our ToS, so if you aren't getting a response then she is probably off sulking. If you are getting a error, then she must have deleted it and we have no further contact information for her.
As the owner, I can emphatically state that while I understand that many users would like her to return, we will not be contacting her to ask, even on behalf of users, to return. She violated our ToS with complete disregard for the possible legal consequences I could face by being on the site underage - While it may seem prideful, I refuse to send that type of email to someone who apparently couldn't care less if I paid huge legal fees, ended up with a criminal record, or even in jail.

There are times I wish life wasn’t as hectic as it is, so I’d actually get the news out on time, but it really is better to be busy than bored… At least in my opinion! There isn’t much going on this month, just a couple things to review, and a bit of an editorial from me.

Well, here goes nothing! If you are cozily snuggled in with your new profile reading this, then you can ignore this part of the news, as you are probably tired of reading about it. If you are reading on the main page of the site, getting ready to toss your computer at the nearest wall because you can’t log in, then perhaps you should keep reading!
If you have not tried to log in since February, then you may have noticed the site looks a little different. That is cause the entire thing is getting a facelift, some lipo, bone stretching, that sorta thing! So what does that mean? That means you need to take a couple steps so that you can access everything correctly. We’ve laid out some very simple, easy to understand instructions. If you follow these to the letter, step by step, 99 times out of 100 it will work. The other 1 time, you’ll need admin to fix something.
Step One: Clear your cookies (Please note, AFF only supports bulimia for your browser, please do not try this on your own body)
Step Two: Validate your account. (There are multiple steps, so perhaps print them out so you can have them right next to you as you do it.)
Unless your account no longer exists (atrophy can be a bitch), you have multiple accounts (Cloning needs to stay in the sci-fi section please), or your email address you first used no longer exists (Wait, you really don’t want to use that LuvNSyncBSB4EVA account anymore?) then you should be back into your account.
If Step One and Step Two have destroyed your house completely and Mother is almost home… Wait, that’s Thing One and Thing Two, sorry… If Step One and Step Two haven’t worked for you, then please contact us via the forums or email and explain in detail what you’ve done so that we can best assist you. “I can’t log in!” doesn’t get the house straight before Mother comes home.
That being said, for those of you that have already played along at home and are in – Thanks for reading the directions and have fun as more new stuff rolls out!
Right now, we are just completing some back end admin upgrades that we will need to properly moderate the site once the next portion goes live. After that, we’ll start releasing features for you guys to play with again. Upgraded search features, better chapter/story navigation, improved story submission, etc etc!
A huge shout out to those that have donated, we really appreciate it! As always, donations are appreciated, as the site is free to use and we live off donations and our advertisers! We currently have $563.50 in our PayPal with May’s hosting costs paid. Information on how to increase our war chest can be found here.
We’re still puttering along with moderating the archive, and as always our monthly report is available for your perusal!
Thank you for sticking with me and my ramblings! See ya around the site or when we meet again next month!

First off, she is not banned from the site. This is not the 1st time she's done it, she's done it on multiple occasions, it just so happened this account came up in our sweep and she was recognized as having signed up as a minor. Not that I have to explain myself to any of you, but she had multiple accounts and was deleted on the following dates. Please note she was born in 1993 by her own admission.
    05 June 2009
    06 June 2009
    14 July 2009
    18 July 2011
    27 September 2011
    30 September 2011

Secondly, just because you are no longer a minor doesn't mean that the offense didn't occur. Think about it, you can be prosecuted for most crimes many years after they were committed. Having her registered with a date prior to her 18th birthday means that however tacitly, we approve of underage users on the site, which we DO NOT!
She violated the TOS multiple times as you can see above, she put me and the ENTIRE site in danger with each account she created and each time she clicked "I'm 18 years of age or older." Do you really think that that doesn't deserve consequences? Because I assure you it does.
We have two ways of handling this - If it was during the time where the staff I left in place dropped the ball, we delete all pre-18 content and adjust the registration date. If it was once DemonGoddess and the current staff took over and started to actually moderate the site then the whole account is wiped. We now have the means to check daily registration since the latest upgrade so I assure you this will be a less and less common event. Eventually children will understand that they will be caught and will not be tolerated. If you cannot support the fact that I want this site to stay open and available, even for drama mongers like yourself, then you are more than welcome to find another Archive that is much more restrictive than I am.
I will state again, she is welcome back to the site at any point now that she is of legal age and can repost her content so long as she follows our ToS.

You did receive answers above - She joined the website when she was 16 years old! Apparently, she decided all of my lovely warnings that you must be 18 years old to enter the site went in one ear and out the other.
If you join my site before you are legally allowed to, depending on your registration date and current age you will either lose any work you posted prior to your 18th birthday or your entire account. It's very simple. She decided that the rules didn't apply to her, so we applied them for her.

Rogue was simply pointing out that the policy was not hidden from you and that it was clearly stated.
As for our reasons, there is a huge difference between a published piece of work and something on the internet. Yes, you can pass around a paperbook as often as you'd like. Electronic formats are different. Kindle books, for example, you can only lend for two weeks. Certain Nook books you can't lend at all. Author's are taking back their rights to their fiction in that manner already. A printed work cannot be recalled or removed from the world, something on the internet you can.
When it comes to fan fiction, first off, our ToS prohibits the download or copying of fiction from the site with out the author's permission: "You agree as a user of AFF that you will not download or copy any of the content within without the express permission of the original user to post the content." Secondly, Fan Fiction isn't like a published work, it hasn't been through a rigorous editing process to ensure it's error free - Often a user will remove it because they are ashamed of the quality or no longer want to be associated with the world of erotic fiction - Either way, we respect that they do not want it out there any longer and do not allow our users to pass on someone elses work for that reason.
I apologize that you don't agree with our decision to respect an author's right to their own creative work, to either post it or remove it ... And yes, they do have that right as it is their creation.

While I think DG was extremely polite and accurate in her response, please allow me to honestly question you here.
This is an original, so this means that the person worked hard to come up with their own world and characters, to develop a plotline of their own.
I understand it was for your private collection, but have you seen our Hall of Shame? We publicly shame and ban people who take other people's stories and post them - EVEN when the reason is just that they wanted to share so more people can see it.
Would you go to a library, read a book, decide you like it and just photocopy the entire book so you could keep it?? I'm going to guess your answer is no, you wouldn't as that would be most decent people's answer. So if you wouldn't do that to a published author from a library, why would you disrespect one of our authors in such a manner? Just because they decided to share it on an archive for free doesn't make it any less theirs or deserving of any less respect from the readers, so pardon me while I say shame on you.

    Tsutsuji,
    1. If you read the FAQ on the topic that was clearly posted in the news which is posted to the forum, the archive, emailed to all forum users, posted on Twitter as well as our Facebook page, right at the top of the FAQ there is in bold letters a Please Note that states if your password is less than 8 characters you must reset it and links to the password reset.
    2. You only need one validation email on the new Archive, very similar to 90% of webpages where you create a log in. Yes, when you initially register for a forum account, that needs one two, but they are two separate systems.
    3. The FAQ's are hosted here as opposed to the site because the forums preform better bandwidth-wise as well as sizeise.
    4. You did not have to come here for help. You could have contact us via email or IM if you would prefer. Our contact information is listed in the Archive for everyone.
    5. Yes, initially it does require a few steps, but for better security both for user accounts and the data - Again, small price to pay for a free service. Just think - You're done now, you won't have to do it again. As for the bank comment? My bank requires user name and state on the first page, then password on the 2nd, so long as the cookie is still in place - Heaven forbid that I cleared cookies or use a new device, cause then I have to remember the answers to my security question... etc etc... I like ours better!

So please note that this is not going to happen, I'm posting this more out of curiosity.
As hopefully you are aware of by now, stories showing as a wall of text or one big paragraph is a known issue. DemonGoddess is working to correct the affected chapters one at a time, scanning the over 467,000+ chapters we have on site. Now of course, users can also correct it on their own stories with out waiting for DG.
My very tongue in cheek comment on this - We upgraded the code to avoid a huge crash that was going to happen at some very near time in the future because of how duck taped/MacGyver'd the whole old code was. Yes, some stories broke. In my opinion, taking the time out to fix them is a very small price to pay considering that this site is free to use and donations are optional.
    Now - That being said:
IF we offered to make your stories a priority in the fix for a $100 donation to the site, would you do it? What about $50? $25? $10?
What is it worth to a user to not have to take a little bit of time, go into the story and hit return a couple dozen times (depending on your story length)?
Again, please note we are NOT doing this, I'm posting this out of curiosity only...

Please make sure that you read this months news as it will contain VERY important information about old vs new profiles, getting set up on the new system, etc. We have it planned so that myself, DemonGoddess and Manta will all be around on Thursday with the launch to handle any bugs, but again, reading the new FAQ's that will be posted and the news first will be very helpful!
I'm so excited for you guys to finally see this! Manta has worked very hard on the new code and our beta testers have been awesome testing everything in advance!!! Is it Thursday yet?

Give him this word for word "I dare you to gather a sampling of military spouses and significant others and ask this question. Watch how fast you are eaten alive. Can stress pull apart a relationship? Can weaker people falter? Absolutely. However, an outstanding majority of military significant others will stick by, thick or thin, coma, loss of limbs, PTSD, etc etc. We go for months with out sex, worrying every single day if our soldier will come back to us alive, and if he comes back alive, will he be in one piece mentally and physically? We go for weeks with out contact along with those months with out sex, yet somehow we keep our relationships alive, we stand true, don't cheat, don't give up. Because we have the most important thing of all: Love. It is that love that gives us the strength not to give into temptation to take the easy road out when the going gets tough.
While military significant others are not alone in this keeping of the faith and many women do it every day, they are a large, easily recognizable group that is representative that the strength humanity has in the face of a challenge or adversity like this. If someone can walk away from a loved one in that situation, then there was never true, deep, abiding love to begin with and the person is better off for the loss when they return from the coma."

You heard from me last night in the forum, but to put it here as well (for that extra credit), loving someone is not something you turn off and walk away from when things get tough. At least, not for me.
Your professor stated that people require sex and/or companionship and therefore could not sustain a one-sided relationship with a loved one in a coma. Either your professor is playing devil's advocate, or is a hopeless cynic. If the latter, my deepest condolences.

If I truly loved her, and I knew she truly loved me, then I wouldn't care how long the coma lasted; the idea of leaving would never enter my mind, ever. True love is way too hard to find to just throw it away because of impatience.
