  1. I've read that in a newspaper! It's a lot like those people who claimed homosexuality caused earthquake waves. Oh, silly, silly people. What newspaper articles would I be laughing at if it weren't for you?
  2. Hm... it's a bit double-sided, to be honest. See, on AFF, you usually get detailed reviews, or so I've found. On FF, you get half-assed reviews that are just "I like it update soon." AFF -> Quality FF -> Quantity But, really, even if I had gotten 0 reviews I'd still be writing my stories on here. I don't have high expectations, but whatever reviews I do get make me very happy. I am a review whore, but in every sense of the word review. Bad or good, I can take it. <3 I also love reviewing people's stories, and always a review worth a bunch of paragraphs. It's like my good deed of the day thing.
  3. I avoid using OCs most of the time, but that's only if I'm writing about a canon character or a canonxcanon pairing. Most of the time I just add OCs so they can be tools for me to smoothe the storyline along a bit. However, if we're talking OCxcanon pairing or something of the sorts, I'd probably go with the OC being the main character or supporting character. Usually when people feel like reading those, they put themselves in the OCs place. In any case, I love OCs, just as long as they're not self-inserts, reader-inserts (Read: ___-chan, or as I read them, blank-chans.) or Mary Sues. I also love OCs that aren't too typical. But that's just me, of course. Development is key, that is all.
  4. To be fair, someone told me before, but I've no idea who she is. (And no I haven't seen Clueless) She was so young, though.
  5. You know what annoys me, too? You read a good fic, story is good, sex is great, and then out of nowhere the guy or girl pulls out a gun or a knife and shoves it somewhere the sun don't shine, and blood is everywhere... The end. WTF. And they didn't specify death in their summary, which is all the more frustrating. I'm all for surprises, but that just really kills my brain, followed by the sound of a flat-lining monitor. Sure, to each his own, but damn.
  6. Seconded. Especially after midnight when 90% of the channels go to porn commercials until 5 AM. That or the homeshopping channels. Blagh. Right now I'm watching NCIS. <3
  7. Hi! Would you have any problem beta-ing my yaoi story for Naruto, which is Itachi x Madara? I'm also working on a one-shot for NaruxSasu. I'd greatly appreciate your help. Let me know! =]
  8. My german shepherd who is stalking my cat, and a bunch of birds outside are chirping. I should probably turn the TV on but I'll end up listening to my music anyway~
  9. 7677 I hope more people will start using the forum eventually! (New Years Resolution? Eh? )
  10. I'm also on FF, but I prefer AFF because while FF may have more quantity, it does not have the quality that AFF has. For example, I'm very happy with my 14 reviews on 2 chapters of my femslash story. Especially considering the time they've put into writing them, I'm even more happy. I'd rather have one detailed review than 200 "i like it plz updat soon" messages. It's nice, but it feels a bit empty and unappreciative. On the note of reviews, while feedback is of course lovely, I do remain with my views. When I first started writing, I didn't publish any of it, I just typed away and saved it in a little file. Nobody ever saw the first things I wrote. Then there's one-shots I've written recently that are very morbid, and perhaps better to remain unseen. It's one of those things you write for yourself, you know? So I guess it depends on what you do with your story. If you'd like feedback, more power to you. If you keep it in a little dark notebook, more power to you as well! =] Your writing, your words, your art. It is yours to do with as you please, so long as you don't demand anything or threaten to kill someone's cat if not given reviews.
  11. (Oh wow, beat me to it! O.o) 7671
  12. I completely forgot to post in here before. Since I am new to the forums, I might as well do so! My name is Circe, I'm an avid reader as well as writer. I used to be heavily into slash, but recently I've been much more interested in femmeslash. I am completely into horror, but I don't pass up a good crackfic. I mess around with graphics sometimes too, so I suppose I'm just a creative critter first and foremost. I'm also a beta because I'm a criticist and like helping others. (Weird combo, huh?) Anyway, love this site <3
  13. I really, really prefer erection to most words... my problem is that I'm too imaginative. If they use staff, I think about an actual staff. They use rod, I suddenly have a fisher in mind. I can't help it! ;--; I guess I like it straight-forward, but it does depend on the story itself. Just so long as there aren't any fancy or silly names for anatomy. I cannot stand it. "His little warrior conquered my little princess." -shudders- (I kid you not, I've read something like that.)
  14. I like power struggles! I've never been one for fragile uke + I-am-hulk seme. So, in short, my yaoi bells go nuts with the Akatsuki from Naruto. My favourite pairings: Itachi x Madara, Sasori x Deidara. Oooh the struggles! I cannot stand them out of character, however.
  15. You would've been perfect if it weren't for the yuri thing While I do both fanfiction and original on several sites, I also write yaoi, het, and yuri. Oh well. Good luck though.
  16. Which I personally think is wonderful. :] If you write for the sole purpose of getting reviews out of people, you shouldn't be writing in the first place.
  17. If you would like my advice, I'll gladly help you. My writing is only the result of making lots of mistakes and being corrected every time. English isn't my first language, so I made the typical spelling and grammar mistakes, not to mention structure and punctuation. That said, how exactly would you like me to help you? I can offer to beta you, because I'm currently not beta-ing anyone. =] But whichever you prefer, of course!
