Like that one I never got around to writing where Gabriel was distracted by a demon on his way to give his message, got extremely drunk talking about old pre-fall times, and ended up giving his message to Joseph instead. I mean, definite proof of a miracle there.

as a disney trivia guy i’d like to point out some of the subtleties you may or may not have enjoyed. one, his costume is, naturally, evoking baron sameidei (which is an actual ritual element to evoke a connection with the loa in question) and his name comes from the french “facile” or easy. he is a man who makes things easy.
also, he honestly tells everybody exactly what they’ll get from him. the butler? is told that he’d be miserable married, but forced to marry anyway, and the prince is told he’ll be given all the green he needs to hop from place to place. buuuut….

She spied the last words upon the page and they were hers.

I think you can do at least three layers before things start getting confusing.
Like the narrator isn’t aware that he’s the main character. Or when the final girl accidentally kills the author and dooms everyone.

Seconded, picking up the slack for people who should know better than abuse the system when they know for a fact they’re screwing over their fellow coworkers has rendered me cynical but that just might be the exhaustion speaking.
