Yes, the kid is on a trip but he loses contact with his friends. I think his name is Alex and two of the brothers are his age (18) and they're twins. I remember the author stopped posting for awhile and then another author came around and was starting to post with the help of the original author. It was called something with Desert in it, I think. I have to keep thinking. lol

I just finished reviewing the final chapter of One Last Chance and boy that was a heartbreaker. I was reading one of your reviews and the reviewer asked if the Clay and the bell tower from this story was one and the same from the beginning of Between the Two. I went back and reread the beginning of that story. It's funny b/c I remember reading the beginning of the story when you were first posting it and thinking, what the heck does this have to do with anything? lol Of course now it makes total sense. I loved the story but I hated to see Clay so hurt, and well, dead. So you knew all along that Clay was going to jump off the tower. Which story came first Between the Two or Divided by Zero? Just curious. If it was BtT, then that would mean you knew for THREE stories just what would happen with Clay. That's pretty cool. I'm sorry to see this story end, but like I mentioned in my review - this leaves you wide open for a sequel!! lol

Hey Midnight, You're talking about So, the Rain is Falling by Erasmuss. It's no longer on AFF. He was posting it on FP, but I'm pretty sure he stopped writing it. He hasn't posted a new chapter since April 2012. It was a fantastic story though. Sam was the American soldier and Emil was the German soldier. I loved that story. Lisa

Heya Clover!!! I don't think you have any worries. There are plenty of authors who take a few months off, a few years off, etc. Mahsa updates very infrequently, as does Orbiting Jupiter, and yet their readers (me included), devour their latest chapters b/c we're just so excited they updated. lol I also don't think you have anything to worry about regarding your writing; Heirloom was a fantastic story which had me laughing from the first sentence in the bathroom of the airport, to the last line. =) You're a very talented writer, Clover, so I wouldn't worry about your readers not wanting to read anything else by you. I just saw it in your A/N for your new chapter. So Clay is the Clay from Divided by Zero. I never even put two and two together. Wow, now I REALLY don't want him to get hurt again. Thanks, this is all so new to me. I'm old school and to me it's so cool to be able to swipe at the screen and X out of things like I do on my phone. I will keep all this in mind though in case I have to download Windows 7. At least that's an option.

Demon, what's wrong with Windows 8? It's a touchscreen - really cool. lol I'm coming from Windows Vista so anything else is cool. The skin on AFF was always some variation of brown/tan on my old computer, but on this one it looks all washed out. I don't know if I can do anything, b/c other sites' skins are fine.

Ok, so I haven't been in the forums asking my usual stupid questions, and I thought I was overdue...so here goes another one: I just got a new computer b/c my nine-year-old Sony was on its way out. When I got into AFF to bookmark it, I noticed the usual brown color was a bit off. Is there any way to adjust the color of the site?

Yeah, I was reading his reviews on FP and so many people (including myself), would love for him to continue. We used to email back and forth awhile ago, and I tried emailing him last night but it was sent back undelivered, so he must have changed his email address. He's such a nice kid too. And of course an excellent writer for being so young.

Heya Twelve, I don't know about the second story, but the first one is So, the Rain is Falling by Cassidy (Ras) Erasmuss. I don't believe the story is on here anymore, but you can find it on Fiction Press: https://www.fictionpress.com/u/569912/erasmuss The story isn't finished; he got up to chapter seventeen and then stopped. It hasn't been updated since April of 2012. But it was the best WW2 story I've read anywhere. Seriously. It should be published. Ras is an extremely talented writer. Lisa

Heya Snow, I tried to PM you, but AFF couldn't find your user name. Weird. Then I tried to click on your profile from this page and AFF still couldn't find you. Double weird. I wanted to tell you something about what we've been talking about. Maybe you can PM me? Also, I'm really worried about dazed. I know back in February or March she said her mom was taking her to the hospital to finally figure out why she's always coughing. That's the last I've seen of her. My oldest son's good friend lost her brother this past winter. He had been coughing for about a year and refused to take the meds the doctor prescribed and he died. He was only twenty-four. I just hope to God nothing horrible happened to her. Lisa

I agree. It would be so frustrating to really get into the story only to be left hanging after the thirteenth chapter was posted. It seems she's doing really well with her publishing. I also wish her the best. Her stories are very addictive. On another note, do you know if anyone has seen dazedandconfused on the site at all? I'm still worried about her.

Heya Snow! She just posted a new story and she mentioned in the A/N at the bottom that she took down the Sidney story b/c it's being pubished. She's only going to post thirteen chapters of her stories from now on. I don't know if this means she'll only write thirteen chapters, or when chapter thirteen comes along, if the story is finished or not, she's not posting anymore of it. I'm not sure. Her new story (no BDSM), is called "Road Runner" and is sounds pretty good. Lisa
