I feel like it’s September of 2002 all over again! Almost 10 years ago to the date, FanFiction.net cleansed the site of all ‘adult’ content – Which is why AdultFanFiction.net exists in it’s current form. Today they announced that for the first time in years they are actually going to enforce their no adult content (or in their terms MA content) again. Now, for those of us that enjoy places that enforce their Terms of Service, we are rejoicing that they are finally acting like a responsible site! We’ve seen an uptick in registrations and I would like to take a moment to welcome all of our new members! We've had one of our biggest days for registrations in a long time, 250+ and counting today alone! That being said, AdultFanFiction is not FanFiction, nor are we associated in any way shape or form with them. We are two completely separate websites and are not affiliated with them in the least. A couple things that new users migrating should be aware of: We are an adults only site. This means you must be 18 to use it. Yes, we do verify your age, so please, if you've signed up and are underage, let us know now to avoid getting in trouble. I do this not to be mean or nasty, but because I really don't like the thought of jail time. I look horrid in orange, I swear! Please respect this policy We actively moderate the site and enforce our Terms of Service and Content Guidelines. Please read them carefully to ensure that you are not in violation. All new uploads are reviewed on a weekly basis. You may receive an email or a review asking you to fix something. Again, this is not because we enjoy being mean, but because we have our ToS in place for a reason. We are in the middle of a code re-write. This means that certain sections have different layouts and not all features are currently active. Please bear with us through out the reconstruction - I swear it will be better once it's done! To add on to number 3, we haven't sold our soul to the advertising devils, so I promise you won't see those horrid little pop ups that FF.net uses, but that means that we have very little incoming revenue and most of it goes to pay our monthly hosting cost. As a result, we are running (with the exception of the new code) code that is for the most part 5-9 years out of date, which means that a number of the features you may be accustomed to at FF.Net aren't here. You may see them with the new code, but please be patient, there's about another 6 months in this re-write to go. Remember I mentioned that we have little incoming revenue a moment ago? Yes, we make some off our advertisers, but again, mostly pays hosting costs - Your donations if you like the site are very much appreciated and are always used to improve the site! You can learn how to donate here Forums - Our forums are separate from the archive. They are two different programs. This means that if you would like to participate in both, then you do have to register separately for both. We'd love to see you on the forums, so feel free to hop on over! I do recommend looking over the previous news posts for a variety of important information, but you can also do all kinds of fun stuff, from story searches to various games, read the FAQ's to help learn how our Archive is set up or just chat away in our Shoutbox! (Please note, normally the Shoutbox is reserved for Forum Members only, but for the next week or so until registrations start to level off, it will be open to guests in need of assistance) Oh and one last item for Lucky Number 7? Welcome to summer! Okay, well it isn’t summer for another couple weeks, but it feels like it here! It’s been hot and rainy, with summer thunderstorms left and right! However, we are getting into the time when school is out and the archive seems to go into overdrive until college starts back up in August. That being said, a couple reminders and maintenance items. Reminder where to find member functions Category Renamed Current Paypal Balance $573.60 Monthly Archive Moderation Status I don’t think we have a very difficult to understand Terms of Service or Content Guidelines, but for whatever reason, sometimes people decide not to read them. I beg you, on behalf of my entire moderating team, please read them. If you aren’t sure if you should do something or if something is right, then re-read them and if you still can’t figure it out – Then for the love of smut, please email our moderating team, catch them in the Shoutbox, ask in the forum, find one of us on IM… and the list goes on. In short, read them, follow them and ask if you have a question. Speaking of my moderation team: Our open call for moderators resulted in three wonderful applicants, all three came through the interviewing process with flying colors and two of the three accepted our invitation to become archive moderators! One has already begun training and the other will start this week! Without further ado, I would like to introduce MertMidnightAngel, an Egypt loving, animaniac fairy that adores ancient gods (And goddesses… I think she adores me, if not she will soon!) who, when she’s not haunting the archive, games and spends time with her husband and daughter. Her no nonsense personality and long history as a reader and author on the site will be a perfect fit in with our existing team. Again, as always, please feel free to reach out to her with questions! Among many of the changes we’ve made, how you edit your profile, your stories etc etc is the big one so far. Many of you may have had the old author panel linked in your favorites for ease of access – While the old profiles will be visible and accessible until we complete our code rewrite, they are read only and you cannot make changes from them. Please make sure for any edits you are accessing your Control Panel. What this means, when you are on the site and logged in, either click the link in the top right hand corner that says ‘My Control Panel’ or if you are an archive (The old layout) click Member Tools>Author Panel. Thank you to those that pointed out the link was wrong in the old layout! We clarified the name of one of our top level categories in the hopes to clear up some confusion. Comics has long seemed to confuse people as they aren’t sure where things go. In my opinion, part of this was due to the fact that even though X-Men is part of Marvel-verse, we named it first. That has been corrected. X-Men & Marvel ‘verse has been renamed as simply Marvel ‘Verse. Please note that any comics that are produced by Marvel go in this category, this includes the comics, the movies, the TV Shows, the games etc - Anything Marvel 'Verse. If the comic you are writing for is DC based (Again, anything DC goes here) or another publisher then it goes under Comics & DC Verse. We are holding pretty steady with our Paypal balance. Currently we have $573.60 in the account. While we are always able to pay our monthly bill with the income generated by our advertisers, we still have about $750.00 due to our coder for the new site code over the next 6 months, so all donations are greatly appreciated. There are times I wish life wasn’t as hectic as it is, so I’d actually get the news out on time, but it really is better to be busy than bored… At least in my opinion! There isn’t much going on this month, just a couple things to review, and a bit of an editorial from me. Reminder: Clear your cookies, then validate your Archive Account (if you haven’t already) Code rewrite Current PayPal Balance is 563.50 Archive Moderation Status Well, here goes nothing! If you are cozily snuggled in with your new profile reading this, then you can ignore this part of the news, as you are probably tired of reading about it. If you are reading on the main page of the site, getting ready to toss your computer at the nearest wall because you can’t log in, then perhaps you should keep reading! If you have not tried to log in since February, then you may have noticed the site looks a little different. That is cause the entire thing is getting a facelift, some lipo, bone stretching, that sorta thing! So what does that mean? That means you need to take a couple steps so that you can access everything correctly. We’ve laid out some very simple, easy to understand instructions. If you follow these to the letter, step by step, 99 times out of 100 it will work. The other 1 time, you’ll need admin to fix something. Step One: Clear your cookies (Please note, AFF only supports bulimia for your browser, please do not try this on your own body) Step Two: Validate your account. (There are multiple steps, so perhaps print them out so you can have them right next to you as you do it.) Unless your account no longer exists (atrophy can be a bitch), you have multiple accounts (Cloning needs to stay in the sci-fi section please), or your email address you first used no longer exists (Wait, you really don’t want to use that LuvNSyncBSB4EVA account anymore?) then you should be back into your account. If Step One and Step Two have destroyed your house completely and Mother is almost home… Wait, that’s Thing One and Thing Two, sorry… If Step One and Step Two haven’t worked for you, then please contact us via the forums or email and explain in detail what you’ve done so that we can best assist you. “I can’t log in!” doesn’t get the house straight before Mother comes home. That being said, for those of you that have already played along at home and are in – Thanks for reading the directions and have fun as more new stuff rolls out! Right now, we are just completing some back end admin upgrades that we will need to properly moderate the site once the next portion goes live. After that, we’ll start releasing features for you guys to play with again. Upgraded search features, better chapter/story navigation, improved story submission, etc etc! A huge shout out to those that have donated, we really appreciate it! As always, donations are appreciated, as the site is free to use and we live off donations and our advertisers! Shadowchsr - Actually, if you read the changes that we are looking to do with the code re-write, being able to do it with the click of a button is part of the last phase when we break completely with the code. Right now in the middle it's not possible because the stories are on the old code and the profiles are on the new. Once the two are the same alot more things are on the way.

Actually, the email that we provided is valid as that is the email address from which we received her rather whiney email about being disciplined for violating our ToS, so if you aren't getting a response then she is probably off sulking. If you are getting a error, then she must have deleted it and we have no further contact information for her. As the owner, I can emphatically state that while I understand that many users would like her to return, we will not be contacting her to ask, even on behalf of users, to return. She violated our ToS with complete disregard for the possible legal consequences I could face by being on the site underage - While it may seem prideful, I refuse to send that type of email to someone who apparently couldn't care less if I paid huge legal fees, ended up with a criminal record, or even in jail.

No, we wouldn't have. We've had many instances where an Author has gotten permission from the original Author to use story content, world or characters. We record said permission and keep it on file in case it's report. We contacted the original Author who confirmed that there was no permissions given for her to use the content. At this point unfortunately, even if she were to do so, she is not allowed back on site as a plagiarism ban is a permanent one.

I'm closing this topic because at this point, it's not going anywhere productive, I've explained and DemonGoddess left another much more blunt response that I've decided to show in the topic. Anything further is argumentative and simply trying to create further drama. First off, she is not banned from the site. This is not the 1st time she's done it, she's done it on multiple occasions, it just so happened this account came up in our sweep and she was recognized as having signed up as a minor. Not that I have to explain myself to any of you, but she had multiple accounts and was deleted on the following dates. Please note she was born in 1993 by her own admission. 05 June 2009 06 June 2009 14 July 2009 18 July 2011 27 September 2011 30 September 2011 Secondly, just because you are no longer a minor doesn't mean that the offense didn't occur. Think about it, you can be prosecuted for most crimes many years after they were committed. Having her registered with a date prior to her 18th birthday means that however tacitly, we approve of underage users on the site, which we DO NOT! She violated the TOS multiple times as you can see above, she put me and the ENTIRE site in danger with each account she created and each time she clicked "I'm 18 years of age or older." Do you really think that that doesn't deserve consequences? Because I assure you it does. We have two ways of handling this - If it was during the time where the staff I left in place dropped the ball, we delete all pre-18 content and adjust the registration date. If it was once DemonGoddess and the current staff took over and started to actually moderate the site then the whole account is wiped. We now have the means to check daily registration since the latest upgrade so I assure you this will be a less and less common event. Eventually children will understand that they will be caught and will not be tolerated. If you cannot support the fact that I want this site to stay open and available, even for drama mongers like yourself, then you are more than welcome to find another Archive that is much more restrictive than I am. I will state again, she is welcome back to the site at any point now that she is of legal age and can repost her content so long as she follows our ToS.

You did receive answers above - She joined the website when she was 16 years old! Apparently, she decided all of my lovely warnings that you must be 18 years old to enter the site went in one ear and out the other. If you join my site before you are legally allowed to, depending on your registration date and current age you will either lose any work you posted prior to your 18th birthday or your entire account. It's very simple. She decided that the rules didn't apply to her, so we applied them for her.
