pittwitch Posted September 2, 2014 Report Posted September 2, 2014 October is fast approaching and it is the month/season when everyone is encouraged to do their mammograms. This year, I'm starting early and asking everyone either to squeeze 'em or help those in your life get scheduled for the big squeeze. This past Friday, my family received the devastating news that my mom, despite three previous rounds with breast cancer, and a particularly grueling double mastectomy - again has breast cancer -- this time in the breast bone behind the reconstructions. Ding, Ding - Round Four begins. If anyone ever needed a good reason to squeeze 'em, there it is. Even if you've had all of the boobies removed, you are not safe. So - Squeeze 'em! We all want you to live long and not have to face this monster. Thanks for reading, PW Quote
BronxWench Posted September 3, 2014 Report Posted September 3, 2014 Oh, my dear Witch... You, your mother, and all your family are in my thoughts and heart. If prayers from a pagan don't offend, you've got those, too. Quote
pittwitch Posted September 3, 2014 Author Report Posted September 3, 2014 I am not at all offended by a pagan offering! Mom appreciates all forms. I appreciate it too. Kinda feel as though someone took a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to my brain. Schedule the Squeeze! Quote

Melrick Posted September 3, 2014 Report Posted September 3, 2014 Wow, I didn't actually realise you could still get breast cancer after a mastectomy. I hope it all goes well for you mum! Quote
