Guest orleans Posted November 29, 2007 Report Posted November 29, 2007 In general, I love to read about Elves. Pairings with Hobbits or Dwarves are not to my liking.....it's just difficult for me to imagine, for example, a Hobbit paired with a Men and such... It really depends on how a story is written and how the characters are portrayed, but I like to read about these pairings: Elrohir/Legolas Elrohir/Lindir ->I like stories with the twins in general Erestor/Glorfindel (but please no overly shy or strangely behaving Erestor : Erestor/Ereinion What about you? What pairings do you like? Avaloyuru 1 Quote
trekqueen Posted December 1, 2007 Report Posted December 1, 2007 I don't have a favorite pairing to read but I do enjoy many of Eresse's pairings like: Elrohir/Legolas Elladan/OC Legolas Brother Elladan/Imrahil Other's I've enjoyed have been: Glorfindel/Ecthelion Elrond/Gil-Galad I've recently been intrigued in writing Thranduil/Elrond (first age) and Thranduil/Rumil (second/third age). Though my personal favorite to write has been my Star Trek/LOTR crossover with Elrond/Jean-Luc Picard Quote
DarkCabaret Posted December 1, 2007 Report Posted December 1, 2007 Anything that is elves/dwarves!! I don't know why but I love when a dwarf and an elf are getting it on! Really puts a funny picture in your head ..... I mean dwarves are short, and elves usually tall, and it works out funny and I always get this picture in my head! I'm odd and prefer my pairings to be odd and unusual! Quote
Solaris Posted December 1, 2007 Report Posted December 1, 2007 Aragorn/Legolas Celeborn/Haldir Legolas/Haldir Those are some of my favorites. Beth Quote
Guest orleans Posted December 3, 2007 Report Posted December 3, 2007 but I love when a dwarf and an elf are getting it on! Really puts a funny picture in your head lol Thank you. Now, I fear, I will have that picture in my head for the next few hours at least .... Another pairing I forgot to add: I like to read about Rumil / Lindir as well. And normally I don't really like Haldir/Legolas, but Laurelin created a wonderful serial about those two Quote
tuxedo_elf Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 *Pokes head in* Is there life? *Finally got round to re-registering* My faves... Glorfindel/Ecthelion, Thranduil/Rumil, Rumil/Lindir... and that's just for starters. Quote
DemonGoddess Posted December 7, 2007 Report Posted December 7, 2007 Maedhros/Fingon Haldir/Legolas and yeah, that's a short list but there are many more... Quote
Guest orleans Posted December 7, 2007 Report Posted December 7, 2007 I love to read about Elves. No Men, Dwarves or Hobbits. I'm glad I'm not the only one *Pokes head in* Is there life? * Let's put some more life in it Quote
DemonGoddess Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 forgot to add to these later on... Elrohir/Legolas Elrond/Glorfindel Glorfindel/Erestor Elrond/Gil-Galad Quote
Guest orleans Posted December 20, 2007 Report Posted December 20, 2007 I really have no idea why, but somehow I can't stand Elrond. There are no obvious reasons, but perhaps I have just read the wrong stories, I don't know.... Quote
TheMistressMystery Posted December 27, 2007 Report Posted December 27, 2007 Elf/Legolas (or Rumil/Haldir/Orophin) Man/Legolas Quote
Guest orleans Posted December 29, 2007 Report Posted December 29, 2007 Man/Legolas Any special Man? I'm soooo curious Quote
zhie Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 Yes that can be an interesting pairing <img src="http://www2.adult-fanfiction.org/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/think.gif"> , but I was only able to find a few stories with them. There's actually a whole site dedicated to Gil-Galad & Elrond with a number of G/E stories... hasn't been updated in a while, but might have some stuff of interest. http://www.queencheetah.com/kingandherald/ Quote
kandiekyd420 Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 I like any pairing combination of Legolas, Aragorn, Boromir, Faramir, Eomer, Haldir, Celeborn and Glorfindel. I once read a Boromir/Merry/Pippin fic that was actually quite good despite trying to figure out the whole way through the story how exactly they made it work. Quote
Guest rangeralone Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 Aragorn/Boromir Aragorn/Elrond Aragorn/Faramir Aragorn/Frodo Aragorn/Boromir's definitley my fave. Aragorn/Frodo's fun as hell to read, but a bit difficult to write, simply because the size is so great. Aragorn: 6'6, Frodo: 3'6. Youch. Haha. Depending on how Elrond's written, I like reading about them as well. I've never been a big fan of Aragorn/Legolas, probably because there are so many out there. There are a few gems though, so I'll never not read something due to that pairing. Ok, enough babbling on my part. Quote
WolfPyralis Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 my faves are Glorfindel/Erestor Erestor/Haldir Elrond/Haldir Haldir/Legolas Gil-Galad/Elrond hmm not sure if this was it Quote
Avaloyuru Posted October 26, 2017 Report Posted October 26, 2017 I realize this may be an ‘older’ forum thread, but I’m still new and weaving my way through this site. I’m loving what I find though! I don't think I actually had a favorite, I loved all the elves! I read a lot of different author works that take place in their specific fantasy realms much like Tolkien does with Middle-Earth. However, once the movies were released I was first infatuated with Legolas. Then came the Hobbit movies and I absolutely and completely fell in love with Thranduil! Of the stories I’ve read so far, the pairings I like most are: Thranduil/Legolas and Glorfindel/Erestor I think I need to read a few more! BronxWench and JayDee 2 Quote
Desiderius Price Posted October 26, 2017 Report Posted October 26, 2017 I felt a bit cheated, with the movies, I mean, with the Hobbit at three, then certainly the LoTR could’ve been six, or even nine! Imagine, the scouring of the shire, a nice little short story by itself, could’ve made it in. Avaloyuru, BronxWench and JayDee 3 Quote
Avaloyuru Posted October 26, 2017 Report Posted October 26, 2017 @Desiderius Price I kind of know what you mean about feeling cheated. My first introduction to Tolkien was in 1973 as a reading assignment for my literature class. We were all supposed to read 'The Hobbit' and write a review. I absolutely loved it! Unfortunately though after graduation I joined the Army and for a long time, I didn’t really have much time for reading of any kind much less fantasy worlds. Around the mid 1980’s I joined the Science Fiction Book Club and have built up a rather large collection from different authors. As far as the movies, for me I think it was like spending years watching old black and white silent movies, then all of the sudden someone hands me this awesome widescreen color version of those old worn out B/W’s! Yes, there a lot of deviations from the books, but I think they helped add a degree of depth to certain characters, even though I still pick apart the movies. JayDee and BronxWench 2 Quote
pippychick Posted October 26, 2017 Report Posted October 26, 2017 I’m pretty much into elf slash, and I’ve written my favourites. So those would be (in no particular order): Sauron/Maglor Elrond/The Mirkwood Three (and combinations thereof), which is to say Oropher, Thranduil and Legolas Elrond/Young!Thranduil Acutally, Elrond/pretty much anyone, including Celebrian Thranduil/Legolas (with Tafkab) Erestor/Twins (with Tafkab) Glorfindel/Erestor (I lost a lot of chapters when I got rid of a duplicate story in the archives, and I never really got over that) Glorfindel/Gildor (with BronxWench) Legolas/Gimli I’m sure there are more. I was starting to enjoy writing little bits of Celeborn/Thranduil and Galion/Legolas when I kind of lost my muse. I was also getting to know Curufin/Celegorm, and I’d just begun advancing the S/M into Melkor/Sauron territory. Maybe it will come back. I hope so. I mean, The Teacher is kind of like my life’s work of the past 10+ years, and I’d like to finish it someday. Avaloyuru, BronxWench and JayDee 3 Quote

pippychick Posted November 4, 2017 Report Posted November 4, 2017 Well, I’ve just come back from holiday, and seen this post. Now I’m all happy, when I was a bit post holiday blue (ish). But! I’ve come back with lots of inspiration, so who knows… maybe I’ll be prodding Bronx soon to carry on our tale at the very least. Writing with her is like a wonderful dream…. Thank you, Joyeuse! You are so awesome JayDee and BronxWench 2 Quote
BronxWench Posted November 4, 2017 Report Posted November 4, 2017 I will admit to loving a bit of twincest (Elladan/Elrohir) and the threesome of Legolas, Elladan, and Elrohir. Positively delicious, those three… pippychick and JayDee 2 Quote
JayDee Posted November 4, 2017 Report Posted November 4, 2017 Galadriel / Shadowfax. I’ll… I’ll leave now. BronxWench and pippychick 2 Quote

I know your stories, you’re more than capable. Maybe she can mindspeak to the horse or something… that would be fun, especially if Shadowfax was all: “You want to what?! Are you insane?” and then threatens to tell Gandalf or something, and she has to convince him not to... *giggles* Ok… *waits to see what happens* Honestly, it would be hilarious. Please do it!
