Recently started, the amazing author Deathstalker is posting there along with some other folks. I put one or two up (including the first couple parts of a storyline I will post to AFF once I have more finished!) though my quality is likely somewhat lower than most being posted there. There is also an art posting/discussion and general discussions section.

Eh. Just tossing the link up, it's what the promo forum is for isn't it?

old website died a while ago. what happened to it, due-pay or internet police smashing it?

Fucked if I know tbh! I suspect the old owner just moved on. Decade+ is a decent time to run a forum. As for the writers I recently heard Deathstalker was now on A03 (under DeathstalkerLives), dunno where others went. I suspect any still active moved to other sites as DS did, so will likely show up from username searches/story titles or similar. 

I hadn’t been active there for a long time, I’m afraid, so don’t know any ins or outs, but I’ll edit the link out above now it’s gone.

I was part of a cooperative writing project there for a bit (I swear, my life is a wild sequence of “this is going to take a while to explain,” events), so I peeked back in from time to time.  It’s been a few months, so I don’t remember precisely, but I believe what happened was that the lease on the site/server/what have you ran out, and the person funding it simply decided not to renew it.

Yeah, I miss forums. (Glad to still have this one.) Much of that stuff has migrated to Discord, where it’s hard to have a discussion about anything unless it’s in real time.

speaking of dead forums, anyone understanding what the sh1t is going on with the writing.com admins heads? one moment site fuctional, the literal next 4 second; shadow crash for any guests and free-users, new and old. heck even some of the paids are getting the lockdown BECAUSE the admins are being greedy due to the failure of crypto mining!
