Hmmmm, I write lemons, usually yuri (to my wife's bemusement) with the occasional hetro one thrown in. Never tried yaoi, no particular intention of doing so although I'm certain I'd be able to fool everyone into thinking I was a screaming fangirl if I did...

Yeah, having fun writing a Rumble Roses yuri fic right now, alongside a Dynasty Warriors yuri fic.

Ah, kai awase... is there anyhting it can't do? smile.gif

I write hetero lemons because, as someone else said, I write what I know. I would hate to write a bad slash fic, make a fool of myself, and most importantly, piss off a lot of people who know what they're talking about. One of my quirks, I guess. The trouble is in keeping it interesting, not just coming up with the same old scenario over and over again. My fics always have dry, sarcastic or dark humor and angst to varying degrees. The human psyche fascinates me, but rather than spend all that money and time in med school to become a psychiatrist (and bashed by a certain celebrity), I decided to write instead to explore the inner workings of the mind.

At this point, I only write het, but I wouldn't say I'll never write anything else. I let the characters take me in the direction they want to go. I'm merely the machine that sits at the keyboard and types their words.

I love me some shoujo-ai/yuri fics. I do the pairings most people don't see everyday from anime. Yea, I satisfy that group of people out there that wish there were more of THAT couple but can't seem to find them. Heh. Go me!

Hi, taker,

I like this poll, but it's been a bit inactive lately. Let's see if we can revive it a bit smile.gif

Majorly Yaoi/Shonen Ai

Whatever I WANT!

That is, if It was possible to vote for two options. I've chosen Yaoi, because the main pairing in my story is Draco/Harry. The secondary one is Ron/Hermione, so anything goes.

I'd say that Slash is my main interest, but a good Het plot could possibly take over at some point. Fem Slash is not appealing at all. I suppose that I could write it, but why, when my head is full of Hot Men. LOL

laugh.gif Who wants to guess my vote?

Anyway, yeah I went for majorly yaoi/shounen-ai even though I've written a lot of het in the past as well. Things have...changed for me and I really find it hard to get interested in het couples in an erotic manner. Like, I still ship for some of them and it's great to see them together but I have no desire to write het lemons.

I usually write SLASH (I hate yaoi, have expressed my opinions, and have discussed the difference between yaoi and slash. I, however, still label my fics yaoi when in Anime sections of the site for those not used to the term slash. If anyone needs to know what I mean by distinguishing Yaoi from Slash, PM me.)

I don't get any erotic pleasure from the stories, just like the ability where I get to see two people in a relationship, rather then stereotype female and stereotype female together.

This is not to say I don't also enjoy Het fics, I just get more enjoyment from reading m/m.

Also, I'd enjoy more f/f if written properly (i.e. not a male-made lesbo porno).

I've only written one f/f fic, and that was in the Bleach fandom.

I usually write shojo-ai/yuri for Haruka/Michiru and Heterosexual for Mulder/Scully, Doggett/Reyes. I think doing a shonen-ai slash would be pretty interesting though. Depends on what I am in the mood for.

So far I've written mainly hetero stuff, but I'm beginning to branch out into M/M and F/F stuff. So far all of my main pairings are M/F, but I include minor same sex relationships.

I suppose I'm most comfortable with hetero, because that's where most of my personal experience is. I've never done more than a little flirting with another woman. sad.gif

Though I've certainly wanted to at times. Looking back at women and girls who I most wanted to be close to over the years, I believe I was actually attracted to them but just wasn't prepared to admit it to myself at the time. Probably just as well, I don't think my interest would have been well received.

I have discovered that I really enjoy reading M/M stories when they are well written. There seems to be much less F/F content in the fandoms I read and write, so I'm not sure it's fair to judge on that basis.

So far, my wildest stories, sexually speaking, are "Witness" and "Two XMen and a Jacuzzi." Both cover M/F, F/F, M/M and group sex. devil.gif

One of the reasons I write fan fiction is to push my limits as a writer...and that definitely includes writing with different types of pairings, in and out of bed.

I selected the "whatever I want" because even though I am a straight guy and 99% of what I read is hetero or M/F/F and M/F/M, where the guys are there for the girl, I didn't select the Hetero option because the one story I have written/posted, I threw in some gay/bisexual characters as a jab at some of the shippers I have seen around (like Remy the oh, so romantic man? Nah, he is a man-whore, pitching, catching, it is all good for him). However, I am hesitant to write much explicit detail because like other heteros above have said, write what you know and the extent of my gay side is being woken up by a guy giving me a hummmer (which in my eyes proved that age-old adage, guys give better hummers than girls and girls carpet munch better then guys).

I'm pretty much rock solid in the yaoi/shounenai camp, because there is a certain something about being gay that makes it a lot easier. My kudos go out to those who have crossed their own boudaries and write in any categorie...I'm not sure I could. I could probably write the emotional parts, because pining away for a loved one is pretty universal, but beyond that, I'd run into trouble :-)

I write both het/slash stories.

Most of my het stories are here and on my website, I have yet to put my slashes here yet.

Personally I write only M/F (hetero). I do have one story where there is M/F/F but that is because it is kind of a D/s-BDSM scene with a married Master and Mistress and one female sub.

I have nothing against people who want to write M/M, but it does kind of fascinate me, that so many who write about it are actually married or hetero females! wink.gif

I am a hetero married female (older than 39-younger than 50<wink>) married for nearly 24 years who just does not find it arousing to me in the least to read about two males. My beloved brother (my only blood family left) is gay and with a really awesome partner. I support and love my brother totally and have even seen some of the gay porno. I don't find it a 'turn off' in the least, but neither would I feel compelled to write "slash".

"slash" has been around in fanfics (written by hetero females) since the 1960's! Honest, I dear friend of mine who remembers some of the early Monkee's and Original Star Trek "slash" (Kirk-Spock) once told me that at a convention some folks discussed that many women wrote slash as a way to 1) not feel like they were writing a Mary Sue or SI... Or, because some were kind of jealous and didn't want to think of "their" favorite characters with a female...

I have NO idea if any of those feelings are true or not. Obviously slash is something that has been around for awhile, (I asked my brother if gay men ever write hetero fic...he says none of the over 200 gay or lesbians he knows did. LOL!) so "slash" must be pretty much a uniquely hetero female thing.

Again, I am neutral. As a writer, I say write whatever YOU want and what arouses you. A good writer ALWAYS writes for themselves first, their craft second and their 'fans-reader' 3rd. I won't read any M/M "slash" because I just don't find it a turn on or arousing. So all my 19 stories are always M/F-hetero.

But in the same token, I understand not everyone is into BDSM, or D/s or Male dom or Mafia stories or... (insert fetish/kink of your choice) that is the beauty of places like AFF. There is something for everyone, eh?

I mostly write Yaoi...heck my family's starting to think i'm a gay man in a woman's body. but then again I'm bi so WTF! T_T...ok enough drama. I like writing yaoi, it tickles me. there are some times when i feel more comfortable with my laptop than with a human being just whacking away at the keys. describing every inch of a mans body as his partner touches him *drools*

in short...Yaoi rocks my preverbial socks and i am proud to be writing it.

I try to write both within the boundries of the topic I'm writing. Like my last story on AFF.net was a Harry/Lucius fic so it was mainly homosexual but i did manage to get some hetrosexual bits in there. I had to add in an OC but I think it worked. My fellow fan fiction writer hated OC and is very into non con, I can kinda see where he comes from but I can't really get into it. I usually write whatever comes to my twisted little mind. In real life, I'm bisexual, so that kinda helps, and I have friends who help me to see the world from the gay mans perspective.

Whatever I'm writing, I try to make it my own, add a lil twist in there that shows my readers that I was the one who wrote this scene.

I like mainly any kind of those, but I mostly write slash/yaoi/shounen ai because it's something I can't do in real life (as I already said in another topic). I also like het, but I'm not very interested in yuri.

I write mostly yaoi with a bit of yuri, which is kind of ironic considering I'm a lesbian, but my cousin is gay and he got me into anime and fangirlness, so I blame him. Heterosexualism creeps me out. No offense to those that practice it, but writing it doesn't interest me. If I see a guy and girl making out, I usually block out the guy and focus on the girl. Also, I've been watching hentai for so long that live action porn grosses me out. A friend of mine is reading my novel Solstice in which I have three characters, two guys who love each other and a lesbian and she said "don't you ever write hetero sex?" That was the first time I thought about it, but no, I don't think I've ever written a heterosexual couple that doesn't end up turning gay by the end. I suppose that there is something wrong with me. Lol. I suppose that there is something wrong with a lesbian writing yaoi, but it's what i like to write.

I'll write whatever fits with the characters and the plot. I don't really have a sexual preference, but so far, my story is heterosexual.
