    My best present was a phone call from my son. He was supposed to be in the field with no phone access. I was so excited when I saw his name on the caller ID that I dropped the phone. BTW - Otter Box rocks for protecting old witch's phones in the senior moments.

    LOL Jaydee - I figured Bellatrix would have been a choice, but what if it had been Andromeda? Harry has me stumped. Petunia certainly didn't want him, I can't see her accepting the honor.

    are the godmothers in Harry's world? We learn that Sirius is Harry's godfather and Snape is Draco's but where are the godmothers? Who would they be? Why didn't they step into the picture? How different would the stories be with a more matriarchal influence? Okay - going back to my coffee now.

Ms_Figg was a large part of the inspiration for me to come out of the anon shadows and into a more active part of fanfiction. Her joy, sense of humor and ability to spin a tale are compelling. Her strength in adversity, IRL, was beyond compare.
