DemonGoddess got a reaction from JayDee in Lack of reviews.
I'm going to put my 2 cents in here. Something that absolutely SLAYS me is I'll see (and this is on ANY SITE I've visited) absolute and utter hacks getting a ton of reviews. Why? Because it's done by the fanpoodling minions, that's why. Whereas I'll see a helluva story get nothing at all, for a long time, because the author either writes in an obscure fandom, or an old fandom. Yet, when they finally get noticed as they should, they will get some nice reviews.
Going back to the flame problem when one gives actual concrit:
Again, this is supposed to be a site for adults, not children. That means that as adults, we shouldn't stoop to sending people after someone who takes the time and makes a real effort to give you what you ask for. You don't want concrit, don't ask for it. Don't waste a reviewer's time that way.

Why would you get slammed for her sueness, when she was written in the movie that way? She's still a canon character for the movie, despite the sue characteristics.

It has not a DAMN thing to do with stubbornness. It has to do with ToS compliance. Which you would know if you read it. grumpy already knows what he has to do, as he finally responded to one of several emails sent to him regarding this.
As to jordinio, tech support is easy enough to reach. All HE needs to do is send an email explaining that he can't remember his password, etc, and I'll walk him through activation. That's simple enough.
Should you opt to continue not complying with the Terms of Service, which are actually straightforward, then you'll find that we "stubborn mods" have other means to stop you and grumpy from posting here at all.

    From Nexcess:
Our data center technicians have discovered a failing RAM module in the dedicated server that you have with us, affnet.nexcess.net. In our ongoing strive for reliable hosting, we continually monitor servers to ensure the hardware stays operating at it's high capacity. We'll be bringing the server down tonight between the hours of 12pm (midnight) and 2:30am EST for no longer than 15 minutes to remove the bad RAM and replace it with new a RAM chip to bring the server back up to 100% performance. We apologize for the brief downtime and as always with any scheduled maintenance, we'll make sure to perform it quickly and get the server back up and running as quickly as possible

As a reader, I much prefer the characters I'm reading to have DEPTH. If they have no emotions, and no reactions, they're wooden and not terribly believable

You've mentioned that you write in HP. No offense to anyone and I'm not trying to offended (as I, too, write slash in that section so...) first you need to take into account that those that read in HP tend to be much younger and haven't exactly learned that there is more to 'bottom and top' than what they see and/or read on the internet. I've had them do this to me too (usually more in Supernatural though since i make the one no one sees as such the 'bottom), i come back with the example of oral sex. The one giving is tending to be seen as the bottom. When, in reality, it's not. the person with the organ in their mouth is the top because said organ is also surrounded by teeth. That rather switches it around. Oral sex, giving and receiving, is a rather neutral act, not seen as bottom or top because of many factors. The bottom is the one that controls what is done and pleasurable, or painful, sensations that are caused on the so-called 'top' in the situation. The same goes for many other acts like it. There is no real 'bottom or top' in anything unless you are doing a D/s or BDSM situation of some kind and the line is made very clear who is what. Other than that, they are interchangeable.
As for the emotions... again, I mean no offense, but a great many in some fandoms, especially the ones that cater to those that are younger, don't 'get' the emotion thing. Emotion is a hard thing to convey in so many things, be it fanfic or original. In slash, it seems to be harder than in het because so many don't understand one very undeniable 'truth'; males and females react differently to emotional things and show emotion a different way. For example, a 16 year old Harry is not going to run out of a room screaming and crying when confronted with something. Yet I've seen it portrayed that way more than i care to enumerate here. They also don't realize that how beings were portrayed in the books is very different than they were in the movies. Nor do they take into account, using something you said you write, that characters like Sirius were not as well developed as ones like Hernoine or Ron. Sirius was a rather minor character in both the books and movies, with little character development as opposed to other ones that were more of a 'main character'. So how you portray them is your interpretation of what you saw/read. Nor is it right, wrong or indifferent. When there is no real background of development you have to create it to have a good story. Just because yours doesn't agree with what they interpret doesn't make it wrong. OOC, in the case of the more minor characters, is in the eye of the beholder. They just tend to get pissy when you don't do things according to the way they see the world and, for those, stick up your middle finger and tell them to spin on it.
All in all, it comes down to one thing... It's your story to do with what you want. If they don't like it, they are free to shut the page and move on. Their reviews, too, can be easily deleted here. Beyond that, consider the mentality, roll your eyes and move on!

Once again, guest who won't identify yourself, do you honestly expect the real people behind the site to have to face LEGAL REPERCUSSIONS because we don't actively pursue and delete underage accounts which DO NOT belong on and 18 and over site?

And we are once again straying from what has everyone so bent out of shape. There are people who like to think that I am obligated to leave content up, regardless. I'm not. When it comes to MINORS, I am OBLIGATED to delete them AND their content. Whether or not the young user is talented is irrelevant. What matters is how old that young user was when he or she created the account and started adding to an 18 years old and older archive. THAT is the issue. Yes, I will continue to delete them.

You're going to find where someone has been victimized in this manner before, that they will most likely be AGAINST any such an option. I'm not a writer, so I've not suffered plagiarism of my written stuff; but I have been victimized on the art end. Not pleasant, and yes, still testy about it. Like most artists, I'll share my stuff, if asked. Was I asked? Nope.
I'm glad we don't offer that as an option, personally. If it helps even in a small way to prevent someone's work being lifted, it's worth it to NOT allow downloads.

    Seeing the pattern here?
Except for the one lifted from fanfiction.net, all the other stories were taken from small archives. What? Did you not think someone at the small archives didn't care? Really? Really really??
    You were so obviously mistaken....

You know, all we asked of this person, was that she return AFTER she was 18 years old. That's not much to ask, right?
The user has a whole FIVE MONTHS to wait until she can start posting here. 5 months and 3 days, to be precise.
But now, because this person opted to not only ignore the emailed responses she got, but to come back and brag about it?
This person is never, EVER allowed back.

I deleted the last comment, please do not post it again, guest who won't name him or herself. This site is restricted in age to users aged 18 and above. That fact is PLASTERED all over the site. Users who come here underage and create accounts know that when they're caught, we delete them. If we did NOT take that action, nor actively work to eliminate underage users, this site would get in to some serious trouble, as well as the potential for the same for the people behind the site. If you can't understand that, it's fairly plain to me then that you also do not belong here for quite likely the same reason.

    @Guest S.W-B,
When she emailed me to ask about why, at that point she admitted herself she turned 18 in 2011, and was born in 1993. That because she was now 18, she didn't see why. Yet, when I deleted her a time or three before she was 18, I also emailed her at that time and explained to her quite clearly the consequences of returning before her 18th birthday. So, for her to imply to any of you she had no idea this would happen, is pure and utter crap.
That she lied to you about her actual age doesn't surprise me.
In fact, I'll step it out further, AGAIN, as to how old when registered:
2009 before September, 5 registrations - 15 <---she was emailed twice about not returning before she was 18
    2009 after September, 1 registration - 16
    2010 - 1 registration - 17
    2011 - 1 registration - 17
Of all the profiles, NONE of them were created before her 18th birthday. NOT A ONE.
What's truly at issue here, is that because she was still at home and underage, she didn't back up her work.
Given that the site is restricted to users 18 and above, it doesn't matter if she posted AFTER her 18th birthday (3 whole stories, by the way, everything else was before that), I am legally OBLIGATED to remove this data. If she, and you, cannot understand that, I don't know what else to say to make that more clear.
