vore is certainly contro, but it's a specific kind of it, hence the new tag. As BW pointed out, the users who know what it is, and labeled accordingly even WITHOUT tags, such as you and a couple others? No need to retag your stuff. Rapefic should be tagged as rapefic. Lack of clear consent definitely equals rape.
*sighs* More like it'll be MPreg with gender changing..

When I actually have the TIME to read, I review. It's the one way an author gets VISIBLE recognition of his or her efforts in this.

I removed the anon flames, and disabled anon reviewing for you. Unfortunately, as none of 'em are in our archive, there's nothing else I can do for you.

How we determine where a crossover goes, is which of the fandoms it takes place in primarily. As it looks like yours takes place in the Beetlejuice 'verse, that is where it goes. Not Misc Crossovers. The miscellaneous categories are for when there is no other place to put 'em.
I clean up the misc categories at least once a week, by moving the stories to either a pre-existing category, or creating a new one where one does not exist.
Unless the particular category has 75 or more stories, there are no subcategories made for it.

As a reader, I much prefer the characters I'm reading to have DEPTH. If they have no emotions, and no reactions, they're wooden and not terribly believable

I add the year made for where it's a remake, or to differentiate from other things such as the tv series you mentioned

No need to make the second post for the HP drabble collection.
For the second, you're posting a rewrite of your own work. This happens all the time. Most of the time, the rewrites are posted as you are doing, where the original was downed by the user for various reasons, and the author opted to rewrite and repost.
The only ones where I'd need notification (and yes, ultimately those end up with me) are for where an author is rewriting something they already have on site, so that once they've gotten everything they want from the original, I can then merge the stories so the hits, rates and reviews are not lost when the old one is deleted.

As this part of the software is not yet finished, please be patient with us....
When you go to an author's profile, you'll see (after clicking stories written), which subdomains the author has stories IN. Then, you still click it to see what they published in which subdomain, like before. I agree there needs to be some refinement of the listing. However, there are other things being worked on at the moment before the coder will get to this.

Normally, I wouldn't care if you linked to the story elsewhere. However, given that the information we have shows this user is STILL underage, I'll not allow the link.

When it comes to reviews, I used to be hurt to hardly get any when I first started on out FF.Net (at about age 12 or 13). But then, as I grew and got older I started noticing how when I did get reviews, they would influence my writing. Instead of writing for me, I was writing to please my readers which would change the entire plot/tone of my story in a direction I didn't like. So I quit.
Years later, I've come back with a different perspective: I don't care about reviews. Sure, they're great to get or know that someone is enjoying your writing, but I'm not going to let reviews or the number I get put me in a down place. I use writing to getting away from the real world, as hobby, a way to express myself during difficult times. My feelings, thoughts and emotions comes out in my characters when I write since I've experienced what they have.
Now, I'm writing for me; not my readers, not my reviewers. You get what I give you. It may sound a little harsh but it's honest.
When I do get reviews, I favor those that aren't afraid to speak their mind and point out errors. I love criticism and tips for improvement. That's why when I review, I tend to be the same way by helping the author improve if they'd like.

Sadly, Guest_Leah, we're pretty used to dealing with immature morons who threaten to hold their breath unless they get their own way. It's all about them and what they want, or didn't you know that? The world owes them a favour and it's our duty to trip over ourselves to accommodate them, even if that means us risking jail time. So in the future, when you come across one of these childish numb-nuts, you'll know to commence your deferential kowtowing immediately, since they deserve it you know!

*shakes head* These writers apparently have NO idea just how much time and work goes into a concrit review. I have spent over an hour on some of my concrit reviews, it depends on the number of errors and how long the chapter is. I try to make them as professional as I can because the purpose of these reviews is to help the author improve their writing skills. Nobody is going to spend that kind of time on someone who can't appreciate it.
You get one solid review and cry FLAME? The writer should be sending the reviewer flowers for taking the time to read their story and for writing a review meant to help them grow in the craft!
If all a writer wants is fluffy reviews, they should put an author's note at the start of the story saying: Praiseful reviews only.

Fucked in the head, I except. Some sorta severe serotonin deficiency perhaps. Looks out into bright happy smiling hot sunny days in the world and sees desolation and a race bent on self destruction and the fucking up of the poor majority by the obscenly rich majority. Messed up loser scumfuck who oughta be exterminated. Get some kinda sick pleasure from trying to engender visceral reactions of disgust and revulsion in their audience, maybe even enjoy the flames. Exposed to horror stories at a young age and had 'em imprinted on the psyche. Watership Down's rabbits had it tough. No desire to hurt anybody else, but find writing helps feel better sometimes, whether gory splatterbang or just warm and fuzzy.
That's just me, of course. Only me. You with the pen and the hatchet quit getting all offended. I'm sure the others who've dabbled in dismemberment fiction are all lovely well balanced people you'd be quite happy to take home to Mother. Stephen King, I think it was, did a very good essay on the nature of writing and reading horror and such. Undoubtedly there's a few other things on it as well.

I'm going to put my 2 cents in here. Something that absolutely SLAYS me is I'll see (and this is on ANY SITE I've visited) absolute and utter hacks getting a ton of reviews. Why? Because it's done by the fanpoodling minions, that's why. Whereas I'll see a helluva story get nothing at all, for a long time, because the author either writes in an obscure fandom, or an old fandom. Yet, when they finally get noticed as they should, they will get some nice reviews.
Going back to the flame problem when one gives actual concrit:
Again, this is supposed to be a site for adults, not children. That means that as adults, we shouldn't stoop to sending people after someone who takes the time and makes a real effort to give you what you ask for. You don't want concrit, don't ask for it. Don't waste a reviewer's time that way.

You know, it must be that time of year or something. This one was claiming "adoption" which hadn't happened. What REALLY happened is this person was impatient with the author for not updating fast enough.
    Profile

You notice he's claiming abandonment? Well, the author is active. Both on FFN and AFF. She also happens to be a BUSY person IRL. Perhaps the fact that she ignored his pestering should have been a clue, no?
This all goes back to the fact that if you think a story is abandoned, and you want to continue it, you ASK THE AUTHOR first. If that person doesn't respond/ignores you, that is NOT permission. That means you leave the story ALONE.
    It's a direct copy/paste

This person didn't even take out the original author's name, or notes. By the way the story is also posted here. (Yes, it's the same author, she uses a different pen name on FFN).

See the publish date of the so-called continuation? See the comment in the summary?
Now, you cannot tell me this was a mistake. This user knew PERFECTLY well the story was not his to post.

Kinda cute how he added the story he was intending on stealing to his profile as something he was reading isn't it?
In any case, the first profile was deleted and the user banned. I actually wasn't going to go the full Hall of Shame. Well, I changed my mind. This user created a new profile, fully intended to re-post work not his own. So now he's here.
    Ain't life grand?
