It's an honest mistake, so I see no harm in it staying where it is.

It wasn't a link that was posted, it was a story sharing request (as in a COPY). That's what we don't allow. We're quite clear on that.

When an author removes a story for publication, if it starts life as fanfiction, it's reworked to remove any references to the fandom it started in. At least, that's the usual practice. You are right, however, in that if the author published it as is, it WOULD be unable to be published due to copyright violations.

Yes you can, and link to it in your story as well. The best part about these, is you don't have the author note limitations as you do in a chapter. You can be as wordy as you want to be. Plus, your users don't need a login to converse with you in your topic.
