  1. I took a look at her stories but none of them seem to be it.
  2. This one has been on my mind lately- never got to finish it. From what I can remember, it's starts out with a boy in the forest, he's from a group, a tribe?. He ends up running from something in the forest with his friend and collapses in front of another man, who takes him home to heal and makes him a servant (I think? I'm starting to doubt myself on that one). At one point the boy tries running away and the other man begins to spank him. Throughout the first few chapters the man thinks about taking him as a lover, discusses it with someone else but decides against it (until he does) Later on, they go somewhere so that the man can take care of some business, and i think that might be where the sexual relationship begins. I also remember something about the color gold (those were his eyes, maybe?) and that the boy is from a famous hidden tribe or some such- they thought they had died out I think. Sorry about all the unsures. It's been a while since I read it.
  3. Thank you! That was enough to find it- Now See Here. I'm so glad, I was starting to get scared that it had been deleted
  4. I can't think of the title, and typing 'blind' in the search didn't help me at all. I'm just hoping it's still on here. It's about a blind man who falls for his boss, who initially went off on him in the gym because he thought he was a bigot or some such. He learns the truth and befriends the MC, and they eventually become lovers. Um, if that's not enough... At one point he goes on a blind double date and his date ditches him, which ticks off his friend. He even runs into the girl when going to buy a suit with the boss. There's a hint later on that the friend is going to get it on with a guy the MC meets at a party, who I believe flirted with him?
  5. Hopefully I'm using the right words to explain clearly- most, as in nearly all of the stories I have ever read on sites such as Adultfanfiction, fictionpress, and fanfiction, the writers tend to write their stories in a blocked paragraph type way, in that no indent at the beginning of the paragraph, a break between each paragraph, and so on. Is it is just an unspoken rule? Or just something people do just because it's easier? Forced setup of the website? Or... What? When I first started posting my own stories almost ten years ago, it was after reading numerous other stories on fanfiction, and just automatically took up the format, and never really thought about it otherwise until a little while ago.
  6. I know, I know, another topic about reviews. So, I wasn't sure about how this site goes about it. I'm in the process of editing my chapters, and I planned to merge two, which would mean I would have to delete the last chapter as I move everything up. Question: Does deleting the chapter also delete the reviews? I'm under the impression that one site that I post to does, but then adds them back whenever I upload that chapter again. I wasn't sure if it was this one or not. I think everything was fine the last time I did it, but my memory really isn't the best, and I figured better safe than sorry.
  7. Me being my clumsy self, coupled with a touchscreen (horrible, horrible combination), went and accidentally deleted a review when I was scrolling through them. It was a nice one from a regular reviewer, I think. I mean, I only managed to read a line or two of it before I realized that I had hit remove review. I have the email notification it sent me when she reviewed, detailing it, but I still just feel bad about it. Is it possible, anyway?
  8. I'm not going to lie, I love the reviews telling me how much they like my story, my writing style, characters, etc. but I do like the CC. Keeps me on my toes, and I do like knowing if there's something I'm doing wrong, so that I can correct it. Recently I recieved a review from someone who, while they enjoyed my story, were having a problem with my sentence structure. They told me why it was wrong, gave me advice on fixing it, and gave me an example of how the sentences in question read. Of course, I thanked her for it, and went on to have a friendly, albeit short conversation about it. From now on it'll be something that I'll watch when writing. Easy as that.
  9. Have you ever given a piece of constructive criticism and had your head chewed off by the writer, 'cause they're just the greatest when it comes to writing and can do no wrong (Exaggerating, I know not all writers think that.) I don't know, it's like, yeah, you might be writing to have fun, but that doesn't really excuse a very badly written story that has been posted for others to read. Am I right to judge badly written stories, though? Absolutely not. It's when I'm attacked for KINDLY pointing out glaring errors that completely detract from the story that I'm trying to enjoy is when we're gonna have problems. There's been one that gets on my mind occasionally, that ticked me off when it happened and is actually a pretty large reason why I don't even bother to review bad stories anymore. I really just wanted to share, get it off my chest and see what others think. See, a few years ago I read the first two or three chapters of a HP fanfic, and there were incredibly large glaring errors that I pointed out, 'cause I'm of the mind that just because a story is marked 'complete' doesn't mean people aren't going to start reading it from the beginning and things can be fixed up. For this particular story, there were a complete lack of commas, it was either fragmented sentences or run-on sentences. It was almost unreadable. Definitely a headache, but the plot seemed good, so I thought I might give a quick word, 'cause, hey, sometimes the writing gets better by the end of the story and it can become one of my favorites. I'd even went to the last chapter and, low and behold, the writing had improved. Still, beginning chapters can completely ruin it for a reader. In my review I mentioned the issue, but went on to say that I LIKED the story, thought it had potential and planned on continuing. I suppose I stopped for the night, with the intention of continuing it the next day, 'cause that was the last chapter I read of it after receiving the most nasty reply to my review. I still have that response saved to my e-mail, too. This is it (can I post even post this? If it means anything it was on FF.net) I just can't let it go. I'd like to say it keeps me in line if I'm ever responding to CC but it's not true, because I welcome it, as I KNOW my stories aren't the best. It doesn't mean I can't see bad grammar in other stories, and point it out. And I know I shouldn't let it affect me like it has, but just thinking about it makes me so angry, and maybe it's not as nasty as some have seen, and that I'm making a larger deal out of it, but, gah! What's funny is, I checked the reviews for that story just a bit ago, and most of the others said the same thing I did, that the first few chapters flowed horribly and grammar was atrocious. There were many that said they couldn't finish the story by how horribly written it was. While searching for the above e-mail I did come across another reply to to another review on *gasp* another story. I guess I had mentioned some grammar issue that the writer had, and the the writer came back and joked about it. It was very nice, she was understanding and respectful. Still, with the reply I got for the HP fic, it was the last time I gave out CC for a long while. I'm curious if others have had bad experiences with CC. Even those on the other side, the writers that have been given CC, have you had reviews from people that just don't understand or know what they're talking about? Edit: Just remembered, after they sent that nasty reply, they immediately blocked me, so I couldn't message them back or review on their story again.
  10. That'll be it, thank ya kindly! I don't know how I forgot the name
  11. Glad to hear it! I'm actually working on finishing the next chapter of What Doesn't Kill me, so there's that, at least. Should be up soon anyway.
  12. For the life of me I can't remember the name of the story or author, though I do remember the name of one of the characters, Pennilus (I keep writing penis on accident. I thought you should know.) It's about shapeshifters, I think there's a 'Dog' tribe that makes a deal with a 'Wolf' tribe by giving away one of their people, the main character whose name may start with an L, but don't quote me on that cause I've found that I tend to remember things all skewed up. Anyway, they tied him up to a tree where the leader of the pack finds him and scares him. He goes to live with that tribe and become the mate of Pennilus and he initially gets dressed as a woman without realizing it, and his friend comes to stay with him. Then he gets attacked by a tiger, and at some point Pennilus' parents come by. Later has a kid with him. That's pretty much the gist of the story, and it wasn't completed the last I checked, though that was probably over a year ago. Thanks in advance!
  13. *Ehem eherm* I guess I got a few stories that might fit the bill? Most of them aren't finished though, but figured I might as well put them out there. Find me here. Or don't. *coughhackendplug*
