Don't Ask To Be A Beta And Then Never Come Back!
DemonGoddess replied to Lore's topic in Personal Rants & Journals
I used to belong to the Yahoo beta group. However, what I do for this forum and 5 others kinda makes it so I don't have the time I used to have to do such a task. -
A Thank You to all You Ladies Who Pee on the Seat
DemonGoddess replied to Shinju's topic in Personal Rants & Journals
Have no clue about the glowstick, but to make 'em WORK, you do have to break the chambers so the stuff mixes and shake. Probably does make other stuff glow if exposed to light, but I wouldn't actually know. -
I think that depends on where you live, as far as whether or not it's legal to own them. They're kinda cute, but smelly.

HAH! I've got you beat I think....I am SO not a creative writer. ANYTHING creative writing is beyond my abilility.

Member Titles That Display By Default
DemonGoddess replied to DemonGoddess's topic in Aimless Babble
Definitely like what you came up with Keith! You guys have more for me? -
My sig (it's only an image) is a small banner showing the clan I belong to for AOS II for online gaming ( I sail as a pirate, and administer a fleet forum, go figure ) that we did for a long time. We are looking for a replacement game, so our clans are inactive at the moment.

As always, you can use email to report this. In the subject line, please title it with your concern (i.e. underager, spammer, etc) First of all, you're probably wondering what we mean by "other TOS violations". That would include things not in the other subforums, such as underagers, spammers, disclaimerless fics; and anything ELSE you have spotted that you know is in violation of the overall site Terms of Service. For the forum, you would do the following: start a new post with what kind of violation it is link to the author/page in question provide details of what you've found, to the best of your ability If, after reporting, you see the topic disappear? It's because I MOVED it to the our research forums.
-
Your first option of course is to submit an email with "Troll" as the subject line. Information that is needed (for posts and/or email): link to the author page of the suspected troll link to story/review that shows the behavior If, after reporting, you see the topic disappear? It's because I MOVED it to the our research forums.
-
Start a new topic Link to the stolen story Link to the original, wherever posted. If it's an actual published work in print, provide that information. The EXACT reason you think the story is plagiarized. If it is word for word, say so. If it is paraphrased, provide the details of where the stories are identical, and where they have been changed. If, after reporting, you see the topic disappear? It's because I MOVED it to the our research forums. If you just want to report something like this via email, please send that report to tos_team@adult-fanfiction.org with Plagiarism in the title. Plagiarism reports ONLY apply to occurrences on THIS SITE. If you see one of our users being stolen from elsewhere, by all means, email in the report. We'll contact the user and inform them. As it is OFF SITE, there's not much more I can do about it other than that.

Knorg, As far as I know there is no minimum length for chapters. I'm fairly sure this is to allow for things like drabbles to be posted if the author wants to, as those are generally 100 words or less.

Hello there, I've brought your post to the attention of the people who'd handle your concern. Sorry for any delays. The mod who takes care of this is doing it now....says she's in ..errrm... search and destroy mode. So the plague is going away...

Member Titles That Display By Default
DemonGoddess replied to DemonGoddess's topic in Aimless Babble
Knorg, can you come up with a whole list similarly themed? I'm serious, by the way. Kanashii-- "otters walk among us" is something that someone changed member titles to, after buying the magic marker in the store. -
Both the techs who would answer this for you are currently at work. Check back later today, and you should have an answer then.

Thinking About Adding A Battle Rpg Mod To The Forum
DemonGoddess replied to DemonGoddess's topic in Aimless Babble
I've got some further looking to do, but it looks like I found another mod which allow me to bridge the points. In other words, all the points that are banked in the store, you should be able to transfer using this mod, to the rpg, which has an entirely different points field. -
It honestly depends. For example, I work off two different machines at home. So, if I log off from the one (in forum), I then have to log back IN on the other machine. Also, after a certain point of not visiting, something like 2 or 3 hours, you will have to log back in. However, if you tell it to remember you, it still remembers your information and will autofill it. Something else you might try is to click the link to delete the cookies set by the board. It will kill the old cookie (which may still be on your machine) and then give you a new one. This board version handles cookies a bit differently than the last, so this'd probably be a good idea for you to do. If you're having this problem while you're visiting the forum, it's a cookie thing. You have to clear your browser cache, close the browser and restart it. That usually takes care of it.

Thinking About Adding A Battle Rpg Mod To The Forum

I never played FFXI, but I've played D&D games for YEARS. Wargaming sims too. -
Okay, here's the thing. When an IPB is installed, it has different ranks for how many posts that you have. I know the pips don't show, but that will change here in a bit as well. I can make it so that the graphic for your member group as well as the pips for posting show up at the same time, and will. Anyway, there was a set of custom default member titles already in place here, long before I was ever here. I'm not so crazy about 'em, as they are anime/manga specific, rather than allowing for the fact that there are MANY more fandoms and fandom types that are written about in the archive. So, need some help in devising something that fits better. Here's the defaults (which we don't use) Newbie - 0 min posts - 1 pip Member - 10 min posts - 2 pips Advanced Member - 30 minimum posts - 3 pips Current set (dunno how long these have been set up, but it's been quite awhile) Forum Virgin - 0 minimum posts - 1 pip Hentai in Training - 50 minimum posts - 2 pips Hentai - 250 minimum posts - 3 pips Master Hentai - 500 minimum posts - 4 pips AFF Forum Slut - 1000 minimum posts - 5 pips <-----(this one irks me, it's offensive) Proposed (so far) Forum Virgin - 0 minimum posts Forum Kisser - 50 minimum posts Forum Groper - 250 minimum posts Forum Libertine - 500 minimum posts Forum Master - 1000 minimum posts Forum Grand Master - 2000 minimum posts (we don't need the forum in front of the titles either by the way) ------ In addition to that, I have the ability to create secondary and tertiary pip set to allow for more posting beyond 2000. So, would need rankings accordingly for that as well. Forum Grand Master (or whatever) 2000 posts (2nd ranking set) name? 2500 posts name? 3000 posts name? 3500 posts name? 4000 posts third rank set name? 5000 posts name? is 6000 posts name? is 7000 posts name? is 8000 posts name? is 9000 posts Anyway, what I'm looking for is additional input. For all three sets, if possible.

Thinking About Adding A Battle Rpg Mod To The Forum
DemonGoddess replied to DemonGoddess's topic in Aimless Babble
no real time for a true MMO either, dammit. But that's okay. here are some of the features in the battle game mod--- steal points in battle, as long as you win lose XP as well as HP if you lose a battle in the shop for the mod, you can buy weapons, potions (that do various things), even a phoenix down HP and strength are increased as you level up. There is a bar to display XP, as well as what you need to advance to the next level Guilds would be set up to where once you have enough XP and points, you can join a guildhouse. If you already belong to one, you need to resign from it first. There's more, but I'll let you know that after I install it and play around with it some. -

no gots any more gaming consoles my kids have 'em now. So, I only have computer games -

Yeah it has been replaced by that more or less, and I am also considering (once I find a good candidate for it) adding a tutorial/wiki type mod to the forum which will function as that even better. At that point, once it's all worked out and installed, it's a matter of changing the archive linkage and encouraging the resources authors to post their work to it.

DemonGoddess replied to DemonGoddess's topic in Aimless Babble
Yeah, I'm installing it to my own forum (as soon as I can get my damn machine back from hubby....he's playing on it right now even tho THIS machine can play his game perfectly well ) to keep us occupied until we find a game to replace the one we used for years. Have a good prospect being released this spring. There, we have no use for the store, but the other mods we do. -
Exactly!
