  1. Okay, made the downward attack range to within 3 levels of yourself. Changed the recovery times so it should (in theory) take no more than 90 minutes Max attacks on a single user by a single user per day increased to 10 If this doesn't work in quite the way we'd all like, let me know, I can make more adjustments easily
  2. hehe was talking to my mom this morning....discussing this weather of the last couple days... She told me it got too cold for humans.... Anyway, while I was talking to her she was telling me the snow was coming down quite heavily and that was at ten this morning. Watching the weather now and we've got a weird mix coming at us. It's currently sleeting, will change to snow back to rain, then freezing rain, then sleet again and more snow. Snowfall amounts will vary depending upon how close to the snow line we end up being here. *Keeps fingers crossed for LOTS of snow*
  3. You can either email admin@adult-fanfiction.org with your request, or put a link to the user ID and review here so we have the information.
  4. you don't get points, but you DO get XP. So, it helps for levelling up..
  5. Yeah, the wind can be rough in the cold. Been watching the radar and stuff, it's a rather large storm coming at all of us in the general area.
  6. I have ....errr.... 4 Two of 'em were against the same level player, used a weapon and missed, they killed me, it counted as a suicide. The other two were me attacking someone WAY too many levels above me.
  7. hehe you might have point there with the attack game thing. B) My gaming forum is almost ALL guys. I'm one of three gals there. I have this mod installed to my forum as well, and they're certainly enjoying thunking the hell out of each other with it.
  8. I think they keep saying that to you because you're different from THEM.
  9. That's because each sub domain has a separate subset of tables. So what that means is that the search function will only search the tables related to that particular subdomain. The only table set that is the same throughout the archive is the member table at this point in time. So, the SHORT answer is at this point in time, no, it's not a possibility. HOWEVER, it IS something that's being addressed for later.
  10. What does everyone say to broadening it downward another level or two? It's currently set to where you may NOT attack anyone more than two levels below, I was thinking of making that 4. Dunno for sure though, would like your input.
  11. I'm with DarkInuLord, I hate summertime. I can always dress warmer in the winter. But, once the heat hits a certain point, I'm utterly miserable. Now, there are benefits to living a bit further south from where I grew up (just outside of Chicago), in that the weather is a TAD milder here. Although, this latest front that moved in was interesting. Went from thunderstorms and twisters, to snow with ALOT of wind. Almost no snow to speak of though, dammit.
  12. So everyone knows, I'm not in the habit of booting users for inactivity. Forum usage is different from user to user, and not everyone is going to be in here every day, every week, or even every month.
  13. Do you remember anything else about it? Like main pairings, side pairings, that sort of thing? As memory serves, there are a fair few with Legolas being sent on political errands
  14. So, anyone else with any ideas as for this? If you're not sure what I'm looking at with having second and third sets of rankings, what that entails is either having different pip sets for those ranks, or increasing the number of pips up to 15, depending on the level of posting.
  15. Okay, after seeing NUMEROUS posts about this, thought I'd let you know we are looking into how it could possibly be done. There are a number of ways it can be accomplished, but they are TRICKY at best. So, what I'm saying is don't look for such a thing immediately, or even in the near future. In the meantime, you can actually start a topic (in the right forum) for your story, with your review responses. Also, you can use the forum for PMs (for those registered in forum) and private emailing. In any case, one of things we've been looking at, which is WHY it is a long term project, is a way to bridge the two applications. Use the built in functions of the the one to serve the other, yet keeping them pretty much standalone. By doing that, we hope to make it so that those who choose not to join a discussion board don't necessarily have to, as a discussion board isn't necessarily for everyone. Bearing that in mind, there are certain parts of the board that are open to guest posting for a REASON. Most especially the support forums and the bug tracker. I've never seen the need to force someone to create a login for something, especially if they're only using it every once in a great while, such as for support questions or posting a bug report. In any case, what I'm getting at, is that these requested changes you have made are a LONG way off. They're going to require a fair bit of research and experiment on our parts, and I'm sure you'd rather the experimentation did not take everything offline because of a mistake. So, that will be done offsite, where it will not affect either the archive or the forum. There is much more to it than making an edit in a php file, what you've been asking of us. There's a fair bit of database and table manipulation and integration as well. That can get very tricky, and has to be done VERY carefully, so as to not crash either software module.
  16. I don't believe we're using that anymore, to be honest.
  17. No zombie status available, unfortunately.
  18. COMPLETELY agree with ya there.
  19. Never Too Late -- Three Days Grace
  20. I WISH we would get more than a sprinkling and actually keep it.
  21. it takes up to two hours to autorevive. It's kind of a random thing, it'll either take one hour, or a bit more, but nor more than two. Depends on what the module decides.
  22. It satisfies my curiosity.
  23. Nope. I have my opinions on it, of course, but choose to keep 'em private.
  24. I've only been on an admin/mod end here for a short time (since Septemberish), but have been READING here for years. So, while I certainly don't have the history that Beth does with AFF, I also would like to express my appreciation of you all as well .
