  1. Just as with the arcade, you can increase your points by playing. Basic instructions-- Deposit to your wallet (click the wallet link) from your points balance Select a game Once you're done, be sure to cash out before finishing the game, otherwise you lose your points. You can then either transfer your winnings back to your main points account, or keep 'em in your wallet. The casino games by default have a set limit of up to 500 points in your wallet at any given time. So, once you've cashed out, and want to play more, you have to be sure to transfer back to your main points any points over the 500 limit. Just as with the arcade, I am limited as to how many games per day I can download and then install. So, I'll increase what's there, it'll just take awhile....
  2. I'll add these too. Many thanks.
  3. There are some additional features I forgot to mention, and how they work. tournaments I can set up tournaments for any of the individual games listed, depending on if you guys want 'em or not. This would be set up with jackpots for points as well, determined by placement. sit and go Sort of a multi player thing. You create one, select how many players to allow (up to 15), select a game from the dropdown (there are games available ONLY for this particular function), and there you go. points earned Your points will be updated 1 point for every 100 scored in game, up to a maximum of 10,000 points.
  4. Forum RegistrationFirst of all, so there is no misunderstanding, this is not truly an open forum. This is for the fiction portal users to be able to communicate with one another, get social, whatever they feel like doing. Because it's not an open forum, registration is generally restricted to users who have a pre-existing archive login. There are some exceptions to this, but they are few and far between. Read this topic that covers the exceptions. For the most part, if a user registers for the forum, and I cannot find a link in archive for that user (if it's not already been provided), that user will be deleted from the forum database. What is required 1. Fill in ALL parts of the registration form as asked for. Where it asks for birthdate, the information must be filled out. Otherwise, the user will be restricted to the guest accessible parts of the board, and be unable to use the rest of the board. Remember, this is an age restricted site after all. Where it asks for "AFF Author Page", that is where you provide the link to your fiction portal user page. i.e. http://members.adult-fanfiction.org/profile.php?no=50. The number at the end of the path changes, of course, to the one which is your actual user ID. The path I listed is simply an example. Where it asks for "pen name" please fill that out with your actual pen name in the archive. Where it asks for email, be sure to include a valid email address. Invalid email addresses cause your forum membership to be deleted without warning. Frequently, I come across registrations where all that is listed is the pen name. Not a huge problem, as I will then search the archive for that user to verify whether or not they are one of our users. That also points out why that information must be accurate. User Validation This is a two step process. Self validation and administrator validation. There are reasons for it being this way. Most importantly, to protect the site and its members from spam mail harvesters, bots, and spamming users which love to troll the internet and create memberships in forums (this happens all the time) so that they can post their linkage to their various sites (usually pill sites and the like). A spam mechanism doesn't register with a real email address, so it has no way to validate its membership. First step is to click on your validation link you'll recieve after registration. Be sure to check your junk/spam folders for this mail, as many mail handlers filter this type of mail out as spam. Once you click that link, you then move the admin validation queue. While in the admin validation queue, there are things that I check for, and this determines whether or not the user is approved to use the board the software. real email address - If a user registers with a fake mail, it bounces back to the forum email, and that user will not be validated. Be sure to use the email that you use in archive, as a non match from there to here will also cause the registration to be deleted from queue. Fiction portal (archive) link/pen name - I check to see whether or not the user has an actual archive page, if he/she does not, that user is not validated. I have the validation queue set up to auto delete anyone who has not validated after 7 days. So, if one does not validate their initial registration, that user is deleted regardless by the forum itself. Melrick or I check the admin queue at least once a day, depending upon my own work schedule, and other things that crop up in my offline life. If the user is not validated from the admin queue immediately, don't panic, I will get to you. The time I have scheduled for checking that queue is from 3pm to 5pm EST. So, please be patient, it will be gotten to. Having said all that, please allow up to 24 hours for the admin validation to occur.
  5. Rather than having the selection for groups to collect interest with cards as "Allow ALL", I manually selected each group. Hopefully, that fixes the problem.
  6. At the top of the topic, click "options", then "track this topic". You should be emailed when there is activity on the thread.
  7. hehe I am WAAAAAY out of practice with that one.
  8. Have installed a game arcade. There's a few games there, will get some more.
  9. The government is certainly not using this cash cow to their benefits now are they? Personally, I'm allergic to the stuff, but don't see any reason why it can't be legalized with stipulations like for alcohol.
  10. Well, I think you guys can see my quandary with this. I have no idea what all the different items DID, as I never really played in the store. What made me stand up and take notice of the points system was that weird accumulation I had. I wasn't SUPPOSED to get those points simply by visiting the board. If you had a bank account before, open up another, let me know, I'll reimburse the 100 points to open it. Your banks points are actually still there, not accessible until you open a new bank account.

    Anime Forum

Sure, I guess I missed it. Not hard to do, considering there are something like 250 titles in that section.
  12. With the way the upgrade worked, and how everything changed, the cookies stored for the board ALSO changed. So, if you are having problems staying logged in, you have to clear your browser cache and history, close the browser, reopen the browser and log in. That should correct any difficulties because the old cookie will be overwritten with the new one. If you are using Internet Explorer, you may have to do this more than once. Also, I would restart the machine as well, to ensure clearing everything. No need to do it for Firefox, it's got a much cleaner function for clearing cookies.
  13. Sure, they can be restored. It's a matter of my editing your file. However, given that there were problems with the calculations algorithms before(which is WHY I had to run utilities specific to the store), I'd also ask that you explain to me how you accumulated so many points when the thing was set up to grant x points for x actions. I can also point out to you what happened with my own account, maybe a month ago or so. Three days, no posts, no topics, and I accrued 25,000 points. Open points, not bank points. Obviously, something was very wrong. Also, please bear in mind that this was a MAJOR forum upgrade. There are over 30 versions between this one and what was here before. The table structure is different, the scripts entirely rewritten for the board itself. That the points even existed after the upgrade was a bit of a surprise. It's the only modification pre upgrade that actually had ANY kind of data that came forward with the board upgrade. I EXPECTED (and posted that) that ALL prior board modifications would be LOST entirely. For the store, the only part of it that correctly transferred forward with the upgrade was the member bank points.
  14. Yep, or could make it bigger even
  15. Also the Support forum, and the Bug Tracker
  16. For future contests and what have you.
  17. It's added to the forum base gallery B)
  18. hehe thanks The "virtual brownies" are sure to give me the sugar rush I need to finish some stuff up B)
  19. You want it for forum or archive? If you want it here, email it to me. For the archive, email it to manta2g B)
  20. I've enabled the ability to rate topics in a few of the forums. The Art Room, part of the Beta section (where it was planned to have it enabled once the upgrade was done), and will be doing it in the Fan Fiction section as well.
  21. Some other things that would be helpful, if you guys don't mind... 1. If you remember what items you've used, approximate cost, and what they DID. PM me the item with all that information. This will help me get the store rebuilt. 2. If you encounter any bugs while using it, post them in the bug tracker. That way, I'll know what to look for insofar as asking the modification author what can be done to correct it. Thanks.
  22. Sure, I can adjust that setting now, not a problem.
  23. Who says it's not appropriate? I think it's FUNNY.
  24. Whatever was in your old bank account will be accessible once you create a new bank account. As I said earlier, part of the problem with the points was that the tables were accumulating them in an odd fashion. I actually accumulated points without posting for awhile (for about 3 days, maybe a month ago), until I compacted that table again. So, the only way to ensure that everyone had even remotely the points they were supposed to have was to run a utility that recounted everything. Once you create your new account (and this applies to anyone who had a "bank account" before) pm me and I will adjust the deposit fee so that it doesn't actually cost you points.
  25. When's the last time you tried sending an email? There is a flood control enabled, of fifteen minutes. If you tried within that fifteen minutes of trying to send a mail, you have to wait, and then try again. I sent one to you, did you get it? Rechecked all the options, and you should be able to mail via the board.
