Well, in theory it could. Although it kinda sets up a bigger story. Basically, it’s set in Riverdale where Betty, Veronica, Archie and Jughead go on a winter getaway to a cabin and decide once at the cabin to “explore their options”. In the chapter, on the way to the cabin they happen upon Santa by the side of the road having sleigh trouble and they help him get on his way. But that’s basically the end of anything Christmas related.

Hmm, I almost want to post my story here even though it’s not totally finished just for the heck of it. Mainly because it has Santa in it. I am on Chapter 6 of an 11 part and the first part does focus on Christmas.

Yeah, I just had 3 different things happen at the same time and it was extremely frustrating. There are a couple weird things in the past few weeks. If I could post under my own profile, I would have posted that way. But for whatever reason I don’t have that here. But I’m not necessarily as upset about that. I just needed a place to say it where I wouldn’t get problems.

It’s very frustrating. Without getting too much into the details I’ve had 3 separate platforms all give me grief in one way or another for something that wasn’t a big deal. But in one case, I decided not to be explicit in saying something and people took issue with me holding back. This is getting annoying.

Hmm, okay I think that’s where I went wrong. I was looking under non-anime/single fandom subdomains for Television but in fact it was here? https://www2.adult-fanfiction.org/forum/forum/16-television/

Oh I totally get where the subdomain for Buffy stories are. My main question is whether or not there’s a subdomain for Riverdale under “non anime/single fandom subdomains”? I can’t see where I would make a similar post about that fandom. Unless I’m using the forum wrong.

So, when I posted my Buffy story I noticed that there are a two places where I can post about it. However, when I started posting my Riverdale story it only seemed to have the “Promote Your Story” section. Which means either I’m missing something or maybe there’s just one place? Is there a sub domain on the forum I’m missing? Would be curious to know the answer.

Sounds fun. I’m not necessarily one for themes like holidays but I do have a story that technically begins at Christmas which I may be writing in the near future. Santa makes an appearance. But it’s a multi-chapter story.

This is one of the things I’ve been thinking about for sure. But for instance, one of my collections of stories in the Buffy category has 18 one shots. I worry about if I posted 18 separate stories on a semi regular basis, the first whole page of Buffy would be just my stories. There probably would be a couple pages. On the Television category I might have other people posting and wouldn’t overwhelm things. But I do worry about exactly what you’re talking about. That some people don’t want to look at a list of chapters to try and find the specific chapters in the stories they’d want to read.

Well I have a bunch of different fandoms and I would say that some of them will keep it separate. MF stories have only MF scenes and FF stories don’t include a lot of men. But in at least one of the fandoms, there’s been FF and MF chapters, though not in one shots compilations.

I do try to make that clear through the summary. But I have thought about grouping the FF stories and the MF stories in their own stories. That way people who like one and not the other don’t have to worry about getting what they don’t like. Some characters would appear in both.

Yes, it’s a series of one shots. I never considered putting the specific tags in the chapter title. I usually put that in the main summary in some way. However, I may want to add that. Are you reading the Riverdale story? Because I do technically have a story involving a “squid”, though focused on a woman.

Which I get and that’s sorta what I’ve been doing. But I think about it in terms of readers who like a couple of characters. Some of which is in the story. I’m also thinking about stories that are MF versus stories that are FF in terms of what’s happening. I’ve got stories that are both. The first one might be MF and the second one might be FF. People might prefer the FF to the MF and wouldn’t check it out if they see the first one as being MF.

Just wondering if I should break up my one shot compilation stories into individual stories rather than grouping them all together. Especially the ones in group situations. I don’t know if I’m shooting myself in the foot in terms of potential reviews by putting them together. Although I worry that posting them one at a time would flood the site with mine and take attention away from other stories on the site. Thoughts?
