The world isn’t ready. The consensus would break and then we’d all wake up in the stone age.

    Thus far, I’ve tried:
Telling off the biggest boss I could find threatened to stab my favorite coworker with a plastic spoon told a client that I’m not Dr. Who and can’t use the Tardis to travel back in time to accommodate their request told same client that they would need to provide the Oujia board to have the dead person sign the documents that they wanted signed yelling at the closest supervisor to me Yelling at email from aforementioned client: “F off, Dickety Dick!” in front of the biggest of the big bosses Asked another client, “What part of ‘your borrower does not want to do that’ did you knot understand?” Stood up with the same coworker, blasted “I Will Survive” while singing along and Dancing at our desks Bit my supervisor’s finger – she had her hand clamped over my mouth when MucketySchmuck was escorting visitors past us on a tour – ruined my perfect window of opportunity  Sat at my desk and filed my nails while waiting for the computer to catch up to me used my cellphone at my desk in full view of everyone walked across the office with my dress tucked in my underwear – granted that was a mistake but … deliberately did not dress up on “visitor day”

I second pippychick’s statement.  I just went through a period lasting several months where I barely got anything written at all.  Now I’m getting at least a little of my story done each night.  It may not seem it, but I’m sure your motivation will come back.

For the record, the lobby isn’t going to take up all nineteen meters of available edge legnth, but it gave me a maximum size to work back from.
I don’t know that it’ll be worth five months of wait, but hopefully it will prove entertaining!

Don’t we all Bronx, don’t we all.

But InBrightestDay, looking forward to the conclusion of your tale here. Bizarre research or not

I too feel that strong urge to delete stories at the pit. None of them mine though.

    Thank you all so much!
And it was a great and an incredible day, thank you.   I went out to see a castle, and then one of the oldest churches in England, managed to avoid the showers, and then out for an Italian for tea where they sang Happy Birthday to me, lol. It doesn’t get much better than that.
Btw, I am now going backwards, and I’ve decided to start at twenty-five, though when I get back to school age I expect to be wagging it again.

InBrightestDay, I regularly argue with my older cat...and lose. She can’t speak English but I still lose. Compared to that, demanding bugs stay out or pay rent isn’t that weird.
Also, libraries always smell DIVINE to me. Or, at least, OTHER libraries smell divine to me. Our local library stank of dirty feet and unwashed underwear for the last few years; now that it’s moved into the new building it just smells like paper and fuckboy. Fit to make a body cry, it is. The college library, though...WHEW! It’s a book-huffer’s dream come true – one step through those doors and your nose needs an after-fun cigarette.

I’m honestly really glad to find out about the book-huffing club.  I remember going to the library and just loving the smell.  I always thought I was really weird.
I mean, I know I’m weird (I talk to the bugs I pick up to take out of the house), but you know, at least it’s not for the book smell thing.

Ah, my wee corgi lass has ideopathic epilepsy. It’s been over 4 years since her diagnosis, and we’re managing to keep it to one or two big episodes a year, so that’s something. And for 99% of the time, she’s our sweet, lovable bundle of happiness, so it’s all good.

I had no idea this had any replies! OOPS.
BronxWench – Happy to oblige! It’s one of my favorite classical pieces, modern or traditional. First time I watched Insidious I literally girly-squealed with joy when I heard this song playing in one of the scenes. I’m glad to hear your pup’s doing alright after her ordeal! Were they able to find and correct the cause, or is it a chronic condition for her? Poor little gal...
InBrightestDay – I did, indeed, share this precisely to share the wonders of Ludovico Einaudi. ...aaaand because I spent that entire week with Nuvole Bianche stuck in my head playing on repeat. Considering what usually gets stuck in there, I consider myself lucky for that one. What an incredible composer!
CloverReef – Heiferlump and Woozle are my two cats. Woozle is a Mama’s boy (and currently trying to wedge himself between the keyboard and my chest) who loves nothing more than curling up on me and conking out...and snoring. Heiferlump is his ginormous but sweet-as-sugar ‘sister,’ who has been known to leave bruises after stepping on people.
Book-huffers unite! My personal favorite is an old and age-stained copy of Victor Hugo by Leopold Mabilleau; this French relic was bound in 1939 and spent the majority of the time since in a college library. By now it has a delightful aroma of dust, aged paper, sweet wood, pipe tobacco, and oddly enough, vanilla. I suspect this might be a result of the same kind of college kids who smoked catnip in hopes of getting high. My French has never been good enough to read this book; I keep it around purely for book-huffing purposes.
