  1. Have you tried several times in a row? I have the same phenomenon with Chrome sometimes. It’s kinda like launching a chainsaw; a few attempts in short order and AFF purrs like a kitten. Worked for me so far.
  2. Sounds a bit like the Goa’uld/Tok’ra from Stargate. Is the host merely remote-controlled by the parasite but still fully aware and sentient of what is happening? In this case, 3plus makes sense and the Rape tag would be appropriate twofold. I’m curious, even though it has nothing to do with the new President of the United States.
  3. Nah, just took me about three months to read it through in one go. RL is a bitch lately and concentration is suffering from it. I was referring to the more graphic original movie with Schwarzenegger and its sequel with Danny Glover. The AvP movies suck though II is also very violent (it still sucks). Hmm, maybe some drabbles help?
  4. The story is called Dawn has been kidnapped written by IMTCWay. You also can find it on the Yahoo Group SickTwistedFanfic since the formatting seems a bit screwed on AFF. It's restricted so you need to be let in but it wasn't a problem for me. Cheers.
  5. Look here at Yahoo Groups. It's restricted and not regularly moderated anymore, which is quite unfavorable. But the admin is still around and gets notified if you request access. It might take a while, though.
  6. What about these? babbled bantered challenged chanted cheered cooed egged on exclaimed dared inquired maundered pressed provoked repeated soothed Can the following be misused for speech? driveled drooled salivated slavered slobbered
  7. I think I make the heads, jaws, teeth and way of feeding a mix of Alien, snake and baby bird. Long necks, small eye- and earless heads with broad dislocating jaws, razor-sharp and extending teeth and it feeds by lowering its prey down from above towards its waiting mouths. Like feeding baby birds. In German, it's "Palpi" and "Palpus" (just looked it up) as well, though it seems they're seldom used for feeding but mainly for sensory perception. But I may be wrong. They're really creepy looking, though, I agree. Didn't think of "member" in this context. I blame too much porn stories! Thanks.
  8. @GG: Plot and title suggest a proper stand-alone episode at some time during S01-S04. I'd read it. Is this thread just for proclaiming or should others feel encouraged to offer opinions and suggestions so the story might work after all? Working title: Not Human at all Fandom: Buffy the Vampire Slayer Plot: S04 What if... Starts with "Living Conditions". The Initiative coincidentally finds out about Willow's witchiness, abducts and confines her in its facility. They fake her death, remove uterus and oviducts, shave her hair and implant a chip similar to Spike's. They consider her not human and want to use her abilities for their own purposes. Walsh is the main meanie here. Riley is one of her captors but eventually turns from abettor to her only connection to the outer world as well as the only one who treats her human. At the end, he's a crucial element to her liberation. Willow herself develops from plain victim to her own rescuer. The others believe her death until Riley, who started to date Buffy here as well, tells them the truth. Supposed to be an alternate S04, where every character gets his/her adequate attention and the canon main topics are somehow merged in. Fatal flaw: Everything! It was foredoomed from the beginning. Story is too big and advanced for a beginner and I didn't thought it through. After two chapters it was like "Errm, yeah. What comes next?" The bright side is that I really started to think about what it means to write a story with everything involved instead of having the "Ha! It just will work out somehow." mindset. The project is on hiatus now until I've gained more experience and skill by writing shortfics with much simpler demands.
  9. It's plant-like. The origin is demonic/supernatural. Besides the tendrils and four heads, the body has no features. It's just bulky and voluminous and has its roots in the ground. Practically a big digestive system. But vine is also a good analogy, since they're rather long and thin. Thanks.
  10. Projections as in elongations or extensions? That may work, thanks. Also the verb "to elongate" seems appropriate. I'm not sure what "Bothrium" is. A particular kind of tentacle I suppose? @CloverReef: Yeah, descriptive adjectives and verbs are mandatory and I'm gathering them as well. Like undulating, flogging, sneaking, surging up, grabbing, creeping, swirling, squeezing, enlacing, entangling, clasping or slimy, brawny, slippery, greasy, sinewy, fleshy, thewy?, wiry? etc. pp. However, sometimes it's better to simply call it out by its name to leave some imagination to the reader. I really like "ropy" though. Thanks GG. And "appendage" is a term I should come up by myself. I think I'm just uncomfortable with "tentacle" due to its similarity to "Tentakel" which is rather a zoological term for the appendages of octupuses?, octupi?. And I really don't want to suggest tentacle porn.
  11. Hi folks, tentacle itself reminds me always of this hentai stuff which I want to avoid in case I'm not the only one. Dictionary offers no other terms for Greifarm/Fangarm (German) and Thesaurus comes up with arm, limb and feeler which just doesn't sound suitable either. Not in a sexual or porn context. It's a plant-like four-headed monster, coming from beneath the ground, using several tentacles to catch its prey for confinement or food. Anyone know some cool synonyms and circumlocutions besides tendrils and long tails? Also, one particular tentacle is equipped with a long and sharp spike similar to the Alien Queen's tail with which she had pierced Bishop in Aliens - The Return. It's mainly used for self-defense and fight. The others are littered with small talons and suckers for maximal grip. And they're long and thin enough to wrap around bodies. For some reason, this really gives me a hard time. Suggestions which comes to use will get an appropriate credit of course. Thanks. Off-topic: To all who ever attempted to write in a foreign language: Did you ever thought about certain words long enough until you've forgotten it in your own language so you were left with NO word at all?
  12. Encountered these repeatedly: bawled bellowed commanded demanded giggled groaned growled hissed instructed keened laughed ordered shushed sighed squeaked urged wailed
  13. Yeah I remember the scene in The Gift. He killed Ben because Buffy was morally unable to, not because she would've faced Council's wrath or any repercussions. There's no Council law which proscribes the killing of humans by a Slayer under any circumstances. For instance, Billy Ford comes to mind or the zookeeper in 'The Pack'. Both were directly or indirectly killed by Buffy because they presented a supernatural threat to her, her friends or humanity. Later in the comics, she killed future Dark!Willow in the Fray arc. Willow is human, regardless how much dark magic she's sucked up. In this regard, Buffy was a bit inconsistent with her morals. I couldn't follow her arguing about Willow killing Warren in all aspects. Sure, Willow flaying him alive out of revenge and grief was wrong, obviously. But her statement that he should have been dealt with by human authorities didn't make sense since Warren certainly didn't play by human rules. Technically, Buffy was ought to kill Warren after this super-strength and invincibility giving magic-balls incident. He became a serious threat to her and other humans and he verifiably didn't shy away from murder. It was certainly a good trait for Buffy the human. But for Buffy the Slayer it was a weakness. The same applies to not killing Dawn even if it would've meant world's end. Giles realized this. You could say he protected her morals and innocence but not her personal safety or her Council "criminal record".
  14. Straight to the point. Thanks DemonGoddess061. All your replies helped me to determine my opinion. Buffy lives, Willow dies. Further points are welcome and if you have ideas about the outcome, reaction of the others, be my guest.
  15. That's an unusual advice that I have to try for myself. A stimulation through torture. Normally I cringe after two sentences and abandon those kind of fics immediately. Thanks. Now, how do I find a badfic when I'm deliberately searching for them...
  16. Ha ha, it's basically what I'm currently doing. Seriously, I'm attempting it for the first time too. For now I've just wrote down what's supposed to happen. A simple sequence of sentences. More like a list. Next comes the editing, formulating tolerable and varying sentences, embedding dialogues and stuff I suppose. It certainly feels relieving to have finally something written down, even if it looks more like a shopping list than a story at first.
  17. I imagine pressing down jawbones are painful enough. But the dental treatment certainly prevents abscission, I agree. Back to topic: Devices, which prevent the jaw to close, are highly recommended to avoid mentioned complications.
  18. Me too. I recommend to use the hammer prior to insertion though. "But you should know that sudden serious brain injury causes the victim to bite down. Hard." ~ Andy Dufrense, The Shawshank Redemption.
  19. The most abasing is the gag with the stopper in my opinion. It makes her mouth a trash can sort of. Open it, dump the load, then close it again. Or a deep throat gag. When he's finished, he puts it back to shut her up again.
  20. Thank you, but you forgot to vote in the poll. I agree to Nr. 1. Buffy has the potential to save many lives. Willow doesn't. Pro Buffy-lives point. To Nr. 2: I don't think Giles would even consider Willow's witchyness at all. In this regard he was irresponsible and grossly negligent until Dark!Willow had finally opened his eyes (quite forcefully, I might add). Then he took her to England and started to be her mentor. A more human argument: Buffy is a great Slayer but her time is limited and most of it will be spent fighting. Giles doesn't know that later Willow will activate all Slayers at once. A long happy life is very unlikely and the short one she's currently having is filled with sadness and suffering. An act of mercy? Willow on the other hand can have a long happy life. Her brainpower might even contribute to humanity's welfare when she's grown up. Would he come to such lines of thoughts? To Nr. 3: The last thing Giles would do in such a situation is thinking about what the Council might say. However, the Council sees the Slayer as a tool. When she dies the next one is called. Buffy isn't exceedingly special in their eyes until later in S05. Their reaction was quite all-out after Faith had accidentally killed Finch. I believe what counts for Slayers, applies to their Watchers too. Giles would have to face Council's justice for killing Willow, an innocent human. That would be their reaction in my opinion, at least to the point when Faith went rogue. As long as they have their tool (they don't care about the person who is behind the Slayer) everything is dandy.
