  1. Basically, the last list he posted is definite, those Servants and Masters are in and in those roles, done. There's room for more Servants and Masters, Ichasennin has no strong feelings on the extra classes aside from the ones in his list, and the characters used for Masters and the Servants should be restricted to Nasuverse characters. And, lastly, he has enough side quest characters planned, and doesn't need any more suggested. ...is how I interpreted that post.
  2. Eh...as far as I know, it never really comes up again? I lost track of the translations about halfway through because I started having a lot of trouble making myself care about the event, but I don't remember people freaking out about Nezha being a trap, so most likely. And, bad as I feel about asking, has anyone heard anymore since Ichasennin's last post? Because he'd mentioned having something "next week" at the time, and it's been more than 2 weeks since he posted that. Any word at all?
  3. Well, Xuanzang's profile hasn't even been translated yet, and I don't have any particular hope for Nezha to be around more after the last event. They advertised Ibaraki, got everyone hyped for her, and then she wasn't available in any form. It would be nice if Nezha were added in, but I wouldn't get your hopes up. Or they might do what they did with Jeanne Alter, and have Nezha be a boss in the event as a 4 star, then add her back in later as a limited 5 star.
  4. I think the idea is that the player character is filling the role of Son Wukong, with David, Lu Bu, and Li Shuwen filling in as other characters from Journey to the West. The other figure, allegedly, is supposed to be Nezha. And apparently, part of Xuanzang's character is wanting to prove she doesn't need Wukong to save her all the time, along with admitting to being too trusting and a ditz, so she has to rely on people around her, and being constantly in high spirits and full of energy, only fearing being lonely. That's all there is so far, just from the TV Tropes page. Her profile and dialogue hasn't been translated, as far as I know.
  5. Well, alive is good. Hopefully it's the good kind of busy and not the bad kind. I think I remember you saying at one point you had through chapter 4 done. Any idea if you're planning to upload them in bulk, or get a bunch done and then do one a week or something like that?
  6. You know, actually, thinking about using other Servants, if you wanted, Ichasennin, you could justify a bunch of them in random encounters or sidequests. Shuten Douji, Ibaraki Douji, Kiyohime, and Tamamo as something like "Defeat the oni/dragon/fox" missions, with Tamamo maybe opening up a quest line of beating all 9 of her to face her in full Amaterasu form. Scathach is explicitly still alive, so she could just show up. Okita, Nobunaga, and Ushiwakamaru maybe as a "Hey, it's a Japanese history event!" Brynhildr shows up if his HP hits 0 to try and take him to Valhalla. Something pops up that causes Shirou to pick up a perk that leads Artemis to mistake him as Orion's reincarnation. And a personal favorite thought of mine, one where the anger and resentment from the Fourth War manifests itself as spirits that Shirou encounters and has to deal with. The one from the Hundred Faced Hassan is weak and can only manifest as the female body that was their main spokesperson in the War. Gilles's is Jeanne Alter. The grudge from all the children Gilles and Uryuu killed forms another Jack the Ripper. Lancelot's madness and Kariya's rejection and attack on the person he loved combine and call Frankenstein's monster. And, though I admit it's a bit of a stretch, Diarmuid's curse and bitterness form, all stemming from being a man who was loved too easily by women, winds up summoning Medb. And I kind of can't get the image of Jack attaching herself to Shirou because she recognizes him as "another abandoned, victimized child," and wants to protect him from all the "bad people" (Taiga, Sakura, basically all the females he's having sex with), while simultaneously forcing herself on him, because she's also a victim (sort of), so it's completely different and okay, right?
  7. I would say that gets into a sticky "Servant vs Heroic Spirit" debate. Like, my personal interpretation would be that, if they were both summoned and someone were to NTR them, the curse would not apply to the versions of them that are summoned. Buuuut, then you get into the question about what they do and don't remember. Originally, in FSN, it was stated that a Heroic Spirit on the Throne of Heroes is a "perfect, completed being," and that they don't change. What is summoned is a copy of the Heroic Spirit, whose actions are recorded and are accessible by the HS. But given that it's outside space and time, countless possibilities and countless summons and the records of those summons exist, so the probability of "reading" any particular "book" is astronomically low, which is why EMIYA still won't be saved, even after finding an answer he doesn't regret in UBW. Servants don't remember their previous summonings, and Saber is the only exception because what is summoned isn't "a copy of the Heroic Spirit Arturia Pendragon in a Servant body," but "the still living soul of Arturia Pendragon in a Servant body." Then FGO kind of throws that out the window, with Servants remembering previous experiences, to varying degrees. The shota version of Iskander remembers being in Grail Wars but doesn't feel like it was him. Cu Chulainn remembers being stuck with EMIYA sometimes. Saber understands who and what EMIYA is and worries about him. Angra Mainyu makes references to Hollow Ataraxia. Jeanne remembers people from Apocrypha. Nero remembers Extra and CCC. Basically, the whole not remembering thing has gotten thrown out the window. TL;DR: The curse would probably stop effecting them as long as they are summoned. Then for any subsequent summoning, they would have to remember the NTR and still be subject to it. So, they get summoned, NTR happens, the curse stops functioning, they get beaten/unsummoned, some time passes, they get summoned again, same Master that did the NTR, they're provoked to remember the NTR and have the same feeling, so the curse stops functioning again. That's my interpretation, anyway.
  8. One of her lines flat out says you can have her any time you want, but that since she's an oni, she might get excited and bite it off. So pretty free and playful, I'd say.
  9. Not being able to understand Japanese, all I can go off of is their translated profiles and My Room lines, but it seems like they're basically the same. In fact, both their profiles make it a point to say that, even changed as they are, they are still Arturia at their core.
  10. That's it, really. Basically just that I've been going with the assumption that, until Ichasennin says otherwise, those are the Servants being used, and part of that comes from wanting to not pressure him or try to influence the story too much. I know that having people leaning on you, waiting on you to do something, and/or sticking themselves in and trying to tell you how to do it in can kill motivation, so barring open brainstorming, I try to avoid things that feel too much like I'm telling him how to write his story. Plus, if everything about it is decided and written here in this thread, there are no surprises left for reading the story.
  11. Mmm, my personal view on extra classes has always been hesitant. I mean, the base classes cover most sorts of Servants I could imagine, plus the extra ones that have started showing up. Granted, there could also be something for Servants who fight with their bare hands, hammers/clubs, or other things, but generally, the basic group has good coverage. And in this particular case, since Ichasennin has said that he's planning on using certain characters, I hesitate to think about alternates unless he says something about looking at other characters. Although yeah, friend to children and loving apple pie. A shota Shirou would totally hit her buttons.
  12. Rin would still most likely aim for the best possible Saber. Defaulting to the FGO list, since it's the largest, some version of Arturia, or really probably any member of the Round Table, Siegfried, Okita, and Rama are the only ones I think of as being on her list. Arturia because Excalibur is the most famous sword in the world, Siegfried because he's equally a solidly famous hero and also because, at least lorewise, he's really strong, Okita because Rin is Japanese and would know about the legendary skill of the Shinsengumi, and Rama because she might know of him and Indian myth is kind of crazy OP.
  13. Handle how? Okay, granted, Martha would probably be a mana hog with the Tarasque, but Mordred would likely be no worse than Saber in that regard, and Okita and Ushi would probably be pretty efficient, really, compared to a lot of other Servants. And personality wise, they all seem fairly reasonable. The only one with any real issue is Mordred, and even she's someone that can be reasoned with on most matters. Compared to how EMIYA has his own agenda entirely separate from what Rin wants, they'd theoretically be a much safer bet.
  14. Alternate Servants for Rin...well, two things I think of for traits that would be most compatible would be not having an extravagant wish for the Grail, since Rin herself only wants to win for the sake of pride, and some degree of prodigious talent, since that's a major thing she has going for her. Probably also the "prove yourself to someone" thing, since a major part of Rin wanting to win and be the perfect magus is wanting to live up to her image of her father. Mordred actually works pretty well, with her daddy issues and the fact that her great wish isn't that major, just to get the chance to prove that she was worthy to be king. Ushiwakamaru, too, for wanting her brother's acknowledgement and being a military prodigy. Martha, for not having a wish for the Grail and for having a similar public vs real personality to Rin. Helena Blavatsky, as a genius mage similar to Rin, but also because I feel like she'd drive Rin up a wall and that would be funny. And I think her "having too many wishes" kind of goes with Rin having none. And lastly, Okita Souji, as another extreme prodigy with a simple wish. Plus, I feel a kind of link between her illness always hindering her and Rin's constant last minute screw-ups.
  15. First thoughts, Kuro doesn't start out as playful, she picks it up from Shuten, and she and Illya shared an obsession with Shirou, an "I haven't decided what I'm going to do with him yet, but he's MINE" obsession. I always had some attachment to the "Miyu was Shirou's sister from before the fire" idea that people were throwing around before the actual truth came out in Prisma Illya, so there could be that, with her remembering and him not. Luvia moved to Fuyuki, got in trouble/lost, Shirou helped her out and treated her, so she decided she wanted him as a servant and has been trying to convince him of it sincet, along with getting help with studying since she's still not totally used to Japanese. Sakura was getting bullied for her hair and eyes, but Shirou stepped in to protect her and help her learn to deal with people. Rin saw that, and probably got caught up in one of her goof-ups that he helped her out of. Gilgamesh met him when he got roped into coaching/reffing a game of soccer she was playing with kids and the fact that he insisted on treating her and taking her home when she was the last kid left whose parents didn't show up to take her home.
  16. Well, her NP rank is B, and for comparison, Cu Chulainn, Diarmuid, and Saber Lily also all have B for their NP. But honestly, rankings like that are weird and rarely actually important anyway. For these purposes, it would be reasonable to assume she could effect any human, and Servants with low enough resistance, so plausibly Berserkers, Assassins, and maybe Riders, but probably not the knight classes or Caster.
  17. I mean, most of Kuro's powers in Prisma come from the EMIYA Archer card, so she wouldn't have those. Although she and Illya could still have the magic seal tying their physical feelings together. But thinking about Servant/Master pairs, here's my 2 cents: Saber: Rama Master: Rin or Luvia Archer: Sita Master: Rin or Luvia Lancer: Elizabeth Master: Shirou or Miyu Rider: Astolfo Master: Shirou or Miyu Caster: Medea Lily Master: Sakura Assassin: Shuten Douji Master: Kuro Berserker: Ibaraki Douji Master: Illya Rin and Luvia have been discussed. I feel like sticking the silliest Servants (irrational Astolfo and idol wannabe Elizabeth with the two most straight-laced characters would be funny. Sakura could use Medea's help about dealing with Zouken and the worms. Shuten just sort of feels right with Kuro. Jack or Stheno are an option but just didn't feel right. Ibaraki...admittedly was just to interact with Shuten, but could easily be swapped for Fran, given that she and Illya are both homunculi abandoned by their father.
  18. I mean, she does spend a lot of time talking about drinking out of your skull, and she is an oni, so....could be either way?
  19. Nothing really yet for Ibaraki, since for the moment she's just an enemy, but Shuten Douji has had at least some of her lines translated, and it seems like she's something of a lewd yandere. She apparently decides her Master is her husband on summoning, and talks at various bond and ascension lines about drinking out of the Master's skull. And then there's this line: "If you're interested in me, then come hither. I will welcome you anytime. Ahh, but as you can see I'm an Oni, so if I happen to bite it off, then my apologies~"
  20. And the first raid boss of the game. It's funny, cause first seeing the 3 trillion HP that needed to get brought down, it seemed like it would fail. But then it started melting away once people got into the swing of the event. Also, based drunk seductive Aoi Yuuki voice. Although I don't think they'd necessarily work for this, given that Ichasennin already has his Berserker planned, and the Assassin will exist to get sacrificed for Zouken to summon a Hassan. Although they could be random encounters like Morrigan is...
  21. Well, the Dark Iri that showed up in the Fate Zero event wasn't actually Iri, it was Justeaze, and, not being able to understand Japanese myself, I don't really know much about what went on with her. But my interpretation on this was that the Avenger Iri being summoned was essentially the same as if Dark Sakura were summoned, meaning an Irisviel who has been corrupted by Angra Mainyu and has access to some powers from it, but still has the same core of being Iri. So, like how Sakura fixated on Rin and their issues in HF, Iri would probably fixate on Kiritsugu, Illya, and maybe Saber. But since Kiritsugu's dead, that fixation would transfer to Shirou, since he's Kiritsugu's son and has some similarities. Plus the Grail wanting to punish Kiritsugu for rejecting it, and what better way than to corrupt/torment his children? But for Sakura, since what Angra Mainyu does is basically turn its host's darker thoughts and feelings up to eleven, the central thing that made up most of her character conflict was her issues with Rin. In this case, Shirou's Charisma would probably make him even more important to her than in canon, along with the emotional baggage that comes with using him as her "scratching post," so if Dark Sakura would become a thing, Shirou would probably get much more of her attention. EDIT: Actually makes me think of further events, like Sakura going Dark and teaming up with Avenger Iri and capturing Shirou, leaving Medusa to get picked up by a Servant-less Master (possibly Illya?). Two corrupted Grail vessels trying to break him down to make a suitable wish, while the other teams try to save him. Also the possibility of Bazett getting corrupted if she's kept alive by the Grail after Kirei steals Lancer like in canon.
  22. Eh, aside from being a dragon slayer and the Savior of France, Sasaki isn't really that strong from a lore perspective. Every time he fights in FSN, he has the advantages of his opponents being forced to come straight at him and having the high ground, and of the two times he fights Saber, the first time she's got Shirou as a Master, which is a big handicap, and the second time she was holding back so as to have the mana to use Excalibur on the Shinji-Grail. Like, he's really cool, but it doesn't change the fact that he's part of the class which is worst at direct confrontations, and has the stats to reflect that. My perspective on Shielder, though Ichasennin's may differ, is that, since there's a character provided, might as well use it. Plus it's kind of hard to think of heroes who are famous for their shields more than something else. The only one that really comes to mind is Ajax.
  23. Yeah, but you can say the same about Jeanne. Or Okita Souji. I err on the side of caution in this case. As for other classes, really, with Imperial Privilege, you could bullshit just about anything.
  24. As FGO establishes, Bride is not a Servant class, it's an alignment along the Good/Neutral/Evil axis. In all seriousness, though, he already has Arturia and Mordred confirmed, plus anyone else Ichasennin wants to throw in. Saberfaces are cute, yeah, but too many gets overwhelming. I like pizza, pizza is great, but I wouldn't have it for every meal.
