Brilliant.  While I don’t quite have to resurrect my dead character, I’m doing it anyway.  He will come in handy later.
He may well be a “bridge” between the two principal characters of the “Yankee’s Nephew” series; David Dvorak and Harry Potter.
I’m resurrecting Paul Tarsus Rush-Cook Dvorak as I write this, on two platforms.

Yeah, this “foolproof” plan resulted in a dead character, if he’d had some contingencies covered, it might’ve been a good plan.  (However, the dead character was already penned in, this rewrite simply provided a better justification over “random”.)

While you’re at it, don’t forget that “Once is happenstance.  Twice is coincidence.  Three time is enemy action.”  (Ian Flemming, Goldfinger)
I’ve also just realized that I might have to resurect a dead character almost six chapters into a story.  😐

Yep… fun to write too.  Though bit of sympathy to the one uttering it, it’ll backfire in a way he wasn’t expecting (and he’s a sweet character to write), so a tad painful to inflict.  What’s an author to do but keep on writing?

For over $10 per bottle, it would have to be very good, even if those are two liter bottles.  We all have our own pleasures that others don’t appreciate, though.

Well, if we’re ‘fessing up to silliness here, I do have a set of empty Star Fleet Reserve wine bottles, as well as one from Chateau Picard, and an empty flask of bloodwine.
(The wine was overpriced but the bottles are worth it!)
