Today’s been productive. Posted Jefferey episode #6, and nearly done with the draft to #7 (along with a dabble or two in #8). Depending on how productive I am this weekend, I should be confident with posting #7 next weekend, but no guarantees. (Always, TBD until I actually post it).

Character Building

I don’t fully work out a character either until I start writing. That’s where backstory is useful. What I tend to do, though, is narrow down an approximate age/gender and use a randomizer to help select some traits. If needed, I’ll figure out relatives too, that’s where the bulk of the characters in my database come from. And I start writing, seeing what traits do and don’t work. -

I take it a step (or two) further Avaloyuru, I’ve made a database… has nearly 2,300 characters in it, along with plot points for my series of stories, and family trees. -
