I tried catching all four digits at 5 and 6, but my luck had me catching the counter right before and right after. This time, I managed to catch it right on the nose
Certainly, don’t slow down reading/viewing just to accommodate this, I definitely like seeing the dragon prints going upward.

I challenged myself to Nec for the last halloween story, and I think I used it with great effect, enhancing the horror aspect to the story.

Weird, I didn’t expect that getting the ashes back would help, but it is, a bit. Obviously, I wish I had the living cat instead, just a subtle measure of peace. He’s on the table that I’ve used as a desk for years, appropriate because he used to lay/nap underneath it a lot.

They (the vet) did bring him out right afterwards, I went along with it, so I did spend a few minutes afterwards, he was still fairly warm. I didn’t know how long to spend, apart from grieving and apologizing, wishing for it to change. It was tough, because an hour earlier, I was assessing his condition, with some interaction, not realizing that’d be the *last* interaction I’d really have with him. At least I was trying to save him, even though I didn’t make it fast enough (unfortunately, there’s no pet-ambulance around here).

I know what it's like to grieve a pet. My stepfather's doberman was buried in the back yard after she died. We didn't even get the chance to bring her to the vet. He found her outside already dead. I still miss her a lot. I give my condolences. It's really hard, especially the first few days or weeks after losing them.

Alright, the list: 3Plus, Abuse, AFFO, Anal, Angst, Complete, FF, Fet, Fingering, HC, HJ, Humil, MF, MM, MCD, MiCD, NoSex, Oneshot, Oral, Other, SH, Solo, Toys, UST, Violence, WD, WIP - The typical tags, typical uses Abortion - only because I mentioned a character having an abortion, I’m not describing it. Bi – Sparingly, but it’s there Bigotry – More religious and/or LGBT bigotry. BP – My last halloween story is the only one with this, so far Contro – Generally due to the religious overtones. CR – General corruption, not sexual Exhib – My protagonists generally like roaming around naked Humil – From time to time MBP – That halloween story Minor1 – Doesn’t always imply sex, I’ll list this if the kid is simply running around naked a lot. Minor2 – More frequent. Teens give a nice balance (from the writer’s perspective) between being rational at times and irrational when I need it. Nec – again, that halloween story NoSex – yes, I’ve had a story or two, the holiday/halloween oneshots that were NoSex (sparingly, but they are there). Preg – not often, but this came more in on The Repair Guy than any other one. PWP – this is one I generally *don’t* write because PWP tends to attract the plot bunnies. (In fact, my entire orig universe comes from what started as a PWP...) Rape – Sparingly, normally needed for the plot Scat – This is typically CYA, however, my last halloween story was closer than any before. Tent – (pending...it’s written, not posted) Tort – Not strict torture, generally, though the angst/violence/bullying can reach that point where I’ll tag for it. Voy – This is more CYA than real voyeurism. WS – I kinda do like using this, not as icky as scat, but can be used as part of the bonding. Xeno – (pending … it’s written, not posted)
