wowzerz! 11k? Man I wish I could do an 11k chapter! Even getting to the 4k mark is a challenge for me. I start getting that itchy, naggy feeling that I’ve packed too much in and if I don’t hit the page break, I implode into a cloud of confetti marshmallows. 

That’s not an embellishment at all. 

Anyway grats on finishing episode 13! 

Normally I keep ‘em shorter, but occasionally the episodes/chapters get fat, especially when I’ve got defined plot points that make breaking ‘em up tougher to do.

I used to feel like readers preferred bitesized chapters, but I’ve come to realize, that’s just noncommittal people like me, and the preferences of normal readers vary. If your chapter cuts are based around defined plotpoints, that sounds perfect regardless of length, and it offers people who really get into it a lot of content per post, which is icing on the cake. 

I had gone down to 2-3k chapters with Cold Snap. I’d like to aim for closer to 5k for my new attempts
